On his last official day as a Cabinet Minister, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said he is ready to continue serving the country in any role.

During the Concorde Club meeting Tuesday (Dec 2), the outgoing Investment, Trade and Industry (Miti) Minister shared that he had expressed such intentions to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Tengku Zafrul added that Anwar indicated an announcement would be made on Dec 3, but he does not yet know what the Prime Minister has decided.

00:09And then I think Dr. Fahmi correctly stated that there will still be a role for me in to support the government.
00:18And yesterday also Prime Minister, as you mentioned, Prime Minister also mentioned yesterday during the event in Perdua.
00:25So we wait until the 3rd of December. But I have to admit that I did talk to the Prime Minister before and I did state that I'm willing to support in any capacity, to support the government and to support the country.
00:41But I don't know what the Prime Minister has decided.
