00:03President Donald Trump is facing a historic slump in public support.
00:08For 20 consecutive days, no major poll has shown his approval rating in positive territory.
00:14RMG Research reports that Trump's net approval was positive just last month.

00:22While RMG has shown Trump with positive approval in the past,
00:26its last two surveys report him in the negative.
00:30According to the research, 46% of voters now approve of Trump's job performance,
00:35while 51% disapprove, giving him a net rating of minus 5.
00:40Just a few weeks earlier, his net approval was slightly higher at minus 1.
00:44RMG Research isn't the only pollster showing Trump at new lows.
00:49Morning Consult's newest poll shows his worst net disapproving this term at minus 10 points,
00:55with 54% approving and 44% approving.
00:59Newsweek's tracker also put Trump at a new low, with a net approval of minus 13.

01:08with 43% approval and 53% disapproval.
01:12It seems Trump's handling of the government shutdown is fueling voter frustration.

01:45A Harris X poll found that 37% of respondents said the shutdown makes them more likely to vote Democrat
01:52in the midterms, while 36% said it increases their likelihood of voting Republican.
