00:00So today's video is what happened over the weekend. There's no hot water so
00:18we're down here at the furnace and you can tell right away the temperature is
00:28up there which means we have a top floor we have a main floor and we have the hot
00:40water tanks this one is if you just want to run so if you look that there's a
00:51one right here the taco valve is what usually controls all of this now you can
01:04feel the pipe next to this here is the main floor because I never use the one
01:17on the second floor since the heat rises up to them we keep the doors open there
01:24and here would be the one sunlight's right in there for the hot water tank
01:41anyhow what I did was I came down here and usually you shut the shut the
01:50furnace off you know from the main emergency switch upstairs but I seen the
01:58corrosion here if you see that on the wires and started moving them around then I
02:08got a screwdriver and tightened it and I actually heard a click because I left it
02:16on and I thought the valve was going to need replacing so we're still waiting on
02:23that but I'm going to try the hot water now and leave it on
02:39see how it operates yeah it would be enough to burn you just use the single unlike the
02:50shower upstairs the shower upstairs it's already mixing with you know the cold water too
02:57so we're just going to leave that on
03:05and I'll show you the click that we were talking about
03:12so it's not so noisy
03:42now one time since as I said before we don't use the top floor heat it all that way it saves on the heating bill
04:00one time one of the other valves went
04:06so I switched the top floor for the main floor until we went on eBay or whatever and
04:17looked for taco valves because they're about a hundred bucks each and then you have the service fee
04:25be at least another hundred and a half to two hundred that's a way it saved money
04:33so what I did you got to be very careful shut off the heat when you're switching a valve and
04:44just take the wires because you got to bend them or certain way it's got a curve goes under the screw
04:52and do one at a time you know the one you're replacing they can actually give it a twist
05:03to take off and you also can open or shut the valves and do one at a time but don't mix
05:14up the wiring or you'll be calling your heating place anyhow let me get a light there
