00:00What are your guilty pleasures in Cannes?
00:07Frank was out till five in the morning last night.
00:09Yeah, I can barely think it's great.
00:11Croissants?
00:12For Frank it's nightclubs.
00:13He doesn't know.
00:14Croissants?
00:15Nightclubs and croissants.
00:16Croissants.
00:24I'm staying croissants.
00:25Oh no, and also mescal.
00:27Mescal, yes.
00:28Yeah, whatever that is.
00:29The tequila with the worm at the bottom.
00:30Yeah, it has the worm in it.
00:31Yeah.
00:32Yeah, and you have to eat it.
00:33Yeah, you have to eat the worm.
00:34We'll get that, Frank.
00:35That's what we're going to do.
00:49Very early on in the preparation of the shoot,
00:52we realized there was going to be a lot of limitations
00:54because we couldn't control the weather.
00:56It was like stormy and cold and some of the locations fell through.
01:02So very early on I realized that I was going to have very limited control over certain things.
01:07And it sort of fits the way I like to work.
01:10Usually I like to know how I want to start a scene and where I want it to end
01:15and when the next scene starts.
01:17But then it's really up to them to sort of like navigate through it.
01:20I just liked the way like we did it.
01:24You sort of plan it on the spot.
01:26But Vlad had it in his head.
01:29You knew what it was going to be.
01:30But then sometimes we had to change what it was going to be.
01:33Frank was the only one who knew how to properly handle the rooster.
01:36Yeah.
01:37To be honest.
01:38Like you were the one who knew how you could like lift it up the right way.
01:41And as soon as Frank was around the rooster, the rooster would like calm down.
01:44If I was around, the rooster would sort of like want to end his life imminently.
01:47Because you're so good with the animals.
01:49He threw one on her head.
01:50And it landed on my head.
01:52It landed on my head.
01:53It landed on my head.
01:54And Amy was just okay.
01:55She laughed.
01:56It was a real family feel too, you know, like we all love each other very much.
02:00And, you know, we meant to be a family.
02:03It felt quite easy.
02:04We spent a lot of time with each other.
02:06We were in isolation in the middle of Canada.
02:09I don't even know where we were exactly.
02:11No, you know.
02:12Miss it.
02:13Miss it.
02:14Yeah, you know.
02:15Yeah, you know.
02:16Also, it was lovely because for example during like if they had a day off or whatever,
02:21I would know that like, I would hear that like Callum had spent a day at the pool of the hotel.
02:26It was Frank.
02:27And so like they were, it felt like they were also sort of like learning to know each other as we were making the film.
02:32That was really important for us, right?
02:34It was like bonding and making that feel as real as possible.
02:38Sometimes, once I was with Callum and he had to go and he didn't even know it.
02:43Like a car came up and they told you you had to go.
02:46I'm professional like that, Frank.
02:51I'll see you next time.
02:52Bye.
02:53Bye.
02:54Bye.
02:55Bye.
02:56Bye.
02:57Bye.
02:58Bye.
03:00Bye.
