Jennifer Lawrence May Skip Ryan Seacrest on the Oscars Red Carpet

"I don't know about the Ryan Seacrest thing," the actress told Howard Stern about the E! News host, whose sexual harassment accuser recently went public.

00:04Oscars red carpet coverage on Sunday, given the resurfaced sexual misconduct

00:08allegations against him. Last year, a former E! stylist accused Seacrest of harassment

00:13and unwanted touching. She claims that she was fired in 2013 after she brought his

00:17behavior up to HR. E! concluded an investigation into the matter last month

00:21that ultimately cleared Seacrest of the accusations. The stylist is now claiming

00:25that the investigation was not thorough. Lawrence was asked about Seacrest during

00:29an interview with Howard Stern Wednesday. After Stern detailed the allegations to the

00:33Red Sparrow actress, she said,

00:34I can't imagine him being sexual. When pressed further about whether or not she would speak with him on the

00:40red carpet, she added, I don't know about the Ryan Seacrest thing. Lawrence continued,

00:44I think it is scary, you know. He has not been to trial for anything. I am not a judge. I am not a jury.

00:49That is where this stuff gets tricky. However, Lawrence's issues with E! run deeper than just

00:53the allegations against its long-standing red carpet live host. The 27-year-old has publicly

00:58supported former E! News host Kat Sadler, who announced her resignation last year after

01:03discovering she made significantly less than male co-host Jason Kennedy. Lawrence and Sadler

01:08recently revealed that they were producing a docu-series based on the Me Too movement.

01:12Lawrence told Stern,

01:13I mean, there is a lot to think about with E!, you know? She added,

01:16I have noticed that they keep cycling these women and I am going, is that so you don't have to pay

01:20another woman equally to Jason Kennedy? Is this just a way to still maintain that you are not paying

01:25women equally? The actress also noted that she always had a problem with the now-defunct

01:30show Fashion Police saying, I don't have a problem with talking about what women are wearing.

01:34There was a time they were just mean about people's bodies. Things you shouldn't say.

01:38Regardless, it appears that Lawrence doesn't seem to be stressing over the situation if she were to

01:42skip Seacrest on the carpet. She added, there are already news outlets that I'm just like, nah,

01:46so it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Seacrest has continued to deny the sexual harassment

01:51allegations and E! announced that it has no plans to remove him from his Oscar duties.

01:55He said in part in a statement,

01:57I don't want to accuse anyone of not telling the truth, but in this case, I have no choice but to

02:02again deny the claims against me, remind people that I was recused of any wrongdoing,

02:07and put the matter to rest.
