00:00Hello and welcome to this Western Australian Janesweather update for Monday.

00:04We have got the heat there today. We have a trough that is running down the coast.

00:08It is going to slowly move inland and bring an end to these hot conditions.

00:12Things are looking very clear at the moment. We have extreme fire danger all in these areas north of Perth.

00:18OK, so let's have a look day by day what to expect.

00:21With this trough we have here, look where it is by the end of the day, all the way inland in through here.

00:26So that is a cool change that is coming in. So today on that west coast, this is the last day of the heat.

00:32Let's watch that as we move across the week. As we go into Tuesday, by the end of it, it is in through here.

00:38Into Wednesday, our heat is still in through here, but it's not in that southwest corner.

00:42The next ridge of high pressure is sitting in through here.

00:45Have a look at Thursday, ridging around, starting to see a bit of that sweep back.

00:49Into Friday, it doesn't make it all the way to the coast.

00:52Into Saturday, there it is running down in through there, so not quite making it to the coast.

00:56Into Sunday, it is still inland. And same thing for next Monday.

01:00So there's not a lot of wet weather in the week ahead, as we wouldn't expect at this time of year.

01:04In fact, here it is zero millimetres. Here, zero to one and one to five in that southwest corner.

01:10Let's have a look day by day. Here is the heat.

01:12Here is the cool change by the afternoon.

01:14We're in 26 at 7am, heading for 37, and then the cool change.

01:1929 is the top for tomorrow.

01:21There were 25, 24, 23 to finish off the week.

01:24So we've got those milder conditions coming on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

01:27All of this in a southwesterly wind.

01:30Jumping up a little bit across the weekend, but not the extreme heat that we saw yesterday or today.

01:34We're more in the mid to high 20s as we move across the weekend into early next week.

01:39Lots of sunshine all the way through.
