00:05Kids Say the Darnest Things is coming back, but this time with Tiffany Haddish.
00:09The comedian and actress is set to host and executive produce a reboot that will take
00:13the 8 p.m. slot on Sundays this fall. The announcement comes as the network
00:17unveils their fall lineup on Tuesday. ABC Entertainment president Carrie Burke
00:21spoke about the news saying,
00:30The actress also chimed in on her excitement saying,
00:41Kids Say the Darnest Things dates back to 1945 when it was a regular part of a radio show
00:46hosted by Art Linkletter. He then took the bit to television in the 1950s as part of his
00:50daytime variety show, Art Linkletter's House Party.
00:53Elsewhere, Jimmy Kimmel is staying put at ABC. The late-night host inked a new three-year deal
00:58with the network that will keep him at ABC through the end of 2022 and will take
01:02Jimmy Kimmel live through its landmark 20th season.
01:05Another show returning is American Idol, which was picked up for a third season.
01:09But whether current judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan return remains to be seen,
01:14although sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that ABC has made offers to them.
01:18ABC made minor tweaks to its schedule and the lack of big changes show a confidence
01:22in their returning roster, which is 19 of the 23 programs coming up at the top of the
