സ്ത്രീകൾക്കും യുവജനങ്ങൾക്കും അധിക പ്രാധാന്യം കൊടുത്തുളള ഇത്തവണത്തെ തദ്ദേശ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ യുഡിഎഫിന്റെ തുറുപ്പുചീട്ടാണ് 27കാരനായ മുബാസ് ഓടക്കാലി. എറണാകുളം ജില്ലാ പഞ്ചായത്തിൽ മത്സരിക്കുന്ന ഏറ്റവും പ്രായം കുറഞ്ഞ പുരുഷ സ്ഥാനാർഥി. കലാലയ രാഷ്ട്രീയം മുതൽ ഇതുരവരെ പ്രതിപക്ഷ സമരങ്ങളിലെ നിറസാന്നിദ്ധ്യമാണ് മുബാസ്. തദ്ദേശ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ സ്ത്രീ സ്ഥാനാർഥികളെ നിർത്താൻ മുന്നണികൾക്കുള്ളിൽ നടക്കുന്ന മത്സരത്തെ കുറിച്ച് വ്യത്യസ്ഥ അഭിപ്രായമാണ് മുബാസിന്. പുല്ലുവഴി ഡിവിഷൻ പിടിക്കാനായാൽ സാധ്യമാക്കേണ്ട വികസന പദ്ധതികളിലും വ്യക്തമായ ധാരണ. നിലവിൽ ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധി ലാ കോളേജിൽ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയാണ് കോൺ​ഗ്രസ് തട്ടകത്തിൽ സീറ്റുറപ്പിക്കാൻ ഒരുങ്ങുന്ന യുവ നേതാവ്. | In this year’s local body elections, which give special importance to women and youth, the UDF’s trump card is 27-year-old Mubas Odakkali. He is the youngest male candidate contesting for the Ernakulam District Panchayat. From campus politics to major opposition protests, Mubas has always been an active presence. He holds a different view regarding the competition within political fronts to field women candidates in the local elections. He also has a clear understanding of the development projects that need to be implemented if he wins the Pulluvazhi division. Mubas, currently a student at Indira Gandhi Law College, is a young leader preparing to secure a seat in a Congress stronghold.
