00:00They made headlines across the world back in September, after fleeing their care home
00:04to return to their former convent.
00:07Now the three Austrian nuns in their 80s have been told they can stay in the convent near
00:11Salzburg until further notice.
00:14In December 2023, their superior had insisted they be placed in a Catholic care home for
00:19health reasons and accused them of breaching their vows of obedience, accusations that
00:24the sisters have repeatedly rejected.
00:27Sisters Rita, Regina and Bernadette returned with the help of a locksmith and local supporters
00:57– some of whom helped with supplies, including food.
01:00I have offered me for today to cook and have a pasta-shutter for the sisters and for the
01:05supporters.
01:06We have a number of 100 and 150 supporters that the sisters are currently supporting.
01:12Officials have said they would provide medical care for the trio.
