00:00A crew member on NBC's Law & Order Organized Crime has been shot and killed while working on location for the series.
00:07The incident occurred early on Tuesday, July 19th.
00:10The 31-year-old man, who's not being identified pending notification of family,
00:15was sitting in a car near the crime drama's filming location in Brooklyn.
00:18According to the NYPD, another man came up to the car and fired several shots.
00:23No arrest has been made as of publication time.
00:25NBC and show producer Universal Television said in a statement,
00:29We were terribly saddened and shocked to hear that one of our crew members was the victim of a crime early this morning and has died as a result.
00:36The statement continued,
00:38We are working with local law enforcement as they continue to investigate.
00:41Our hearts go out to his family and friends, and we ask that you respect their privacy during this time.
00:47Law & Order Organized Crime was set to film in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn on Tuesday.
00:51According to several media reports, the victim worked with the show to clear parking spaces for location filming and guard equipment trucks.
00:58Law & Order Organized Crime, starring Christopher Maloney, is set to begin its third season on NBC in the fall.
