02:30Dangerous Liaisons
02:32And 101 Dalmatians now she stars in the latest knives out mystery wake up dead man. It is the great
02:54Nice to see you all leave the guests alone Miriam
02:58Are you paying homage to where's Wally why are you the scarf? It's Arsenal
03:09You've heard of Arsenal why have certainly the first part
03:19Yesterday there was a finger yeah
03:21An Arsenal supporter too. I had a driver called Mickey who drove me on three different jobs
03:25He said you have a team. I said no. He said you're an Arsenal supporter. So me too. So you are as well
03:30I don't know anything but in yes. Well the thing is I want to join the working classes
03:36I'm so middle-class, you know, I can't help it but Arsenal is working class
03:43Okay, and I thought if I support Arsenal, you know people will accept me
03:47There's nothing like a scarf over sequins to suggest
03:56It's lovely to see you Miriam. Glenn Close, I was saying to you, I feel like you're a frequent guest
04:00You haven't been here for what 18 years?
04:0218 years, yes
04:03What did you do to her the first time?
04:05Nothing bad happened, I don't do
04:07But now is it true you nearly worked with Miriam. Yes, don't you remember?
04:11Yes, I do. Well, it was, you phoned me. I think it was Albert Nobbs. Yes, Albert Nobbs, that's right
04:17Yes, movie Albert Nobbs, it was shot in Dublin and I was dying for you to play the hotel proprietor
04:21And why didn't I? What happened? I don't know. You would have been marvellous
04:24I would have loved to have done that. It's a beautiful piece of work
04:28Thank you. And I really admire you
04:32You know, I don't admire all those people in Hollywood
04:34But you I do. I don't live in Hollywood and I never have
04:39You work there, you know, we all work there at some times
04:42Yeah, but you're a class act, darling. Oh my goodness. Glenn Clas, I would say
04:54It's a first-time welcome to Alexander Skarsgård
04:57So hello. Hello. Hello. And now here's an odd thing. I think you know Miriam
05:03What's that about? I clearly made a strong impression on Miriam when we met
05:12Well, I
05:14We have actually met, yes
05:17I believe you own or used to own a condo in Santa Monica
05:22Is that correct? I did, yes, yes
05:24Were you looking to rent out a room in that at one point?
05:27This would have been like
05:28When I was coming back to England, yeah
05:31Okay, what were you doing there?
05:34You were because you were going back to shoot was it harry potter maybe yeah, I think so
05:40I
05:40It was an ad. I was looking for a room to rent. I was why didn't you take it well
05:46Tell her, tell her
05:50Was it not clean or something? No, it was incredibly, it's a gorgeous apartment and I remember that you were
05:58Very charming and I
06:00And expensive
06:01No, I don't think it was that I think it was
06:04I think and in hindsight I probably misread the cues, but I felt a strong
06:08Sexual connection
06:11And I think that
06:12No, no
06:13No
06:15It was probably a
06:17I probably misread the cues, but I felt this could potentially get messy if I rent a room in this apartment if I'm if I'm your tenant
06:23Darling, I'm 84 and gay
06:29I've been with my partner for 58 years
06:32Again, I probably misread the situation
06:37You're talking through your bottom
06:39You know, it is I was actually there and I do remember that we had a lovely afternoon which you obviously don't remember
06:47But it was um, it was
06:51That makes true miriam, he did have a lovely afternoon
06:55Yes, uh nikola have you nearly worked with miriam or nearly lived with her
07:01I'm your daughter
07:06And I am your father
07:09I
07:17Feel like it's a christmas special
07:23We've got lots to talk about tonight. We've got two great films a classic play and a new book from miriam
07:27So let's get started at glenglose brings us our new star-studded whodunit wake up a dead man a knives out mystery
07:34It opens in cinemas tonight
07:36And then it'll stream on netflix from the 12th of december
07:41So this is the latest benoit blanc
07:43Mystery played by daniel craig it's on all new cast all new story
07:48Who are you what's going on?
07:49Well, it's gothic it's more gothic than than the others and it takes place largely in and around a church and I am martha
07:59Delacroix the the woman who is I would call the church lady
08:03Yeah, she takes care of everything it's a great part for you. I mean it's it was fun
08:09Yeah, and like always the cast is amazing daniel craig you joshua connor is so good in this so good
08:18He plays a priest. Yes. Oh, there. He is. Uh, he's fantastic. I think he's kind of like a young jimmy stewart
08:25Oh, that's a yes, you know, he kind of you can't help but love him. Yeah
08:29Listen, we've got a little clip. Uh, this is joshua connor. Yes. He's just arrived. He's just right
08:34Uh, he's discovering something of the church's past. Yes
08:38So this is the crypt. Yep. It's a damn shame. Got to put up a security camera. Is there an entrance?
08:45There is
08:47This right here
08:49Lazarus door
08:50It takes construction equipment to open from the outside, but cantilevered is such that one push
08:57Send a tumbling to the ground from inside
09:00Who's in there then?
09:02Prentice
09:03Wicks's grandfather
09:05The founder of this church was like a father to me
09:09Makes me sick
09:11These kids painting rocket ships all over his sacred resting place
09:22And thomas had a church in that in that clip as as well
09:26But apparently and I know people always say this after films particularly when there's a big cast that it was a very happy
09:31It was but apparently you weren't hanging out in your own trailers. No, not at all
09:35In fact, it's kind of what ryan johnson does
09:38Wherever we were we had a movable green worm and that's where we would gather
09:43And laugh and sleep and tell stories and try those
09:47At one point somebody brought in those those really terrible british their piggy thumb the candies
09:54Peppa pigs yeah pepper pigs we were all trying
09:58Percy pigs percy pigs percy pigs percy pigs
10:00Things like that yeah
10:03Wow
10:03We had a wonderful yeah, we had a great time the bar was quite low
10:06But those things that were drawn on the
10:12Whatever it was they looked like genital organs
10:16Yes
10:18Am I right?
10:19Yes, yes. Oh, I mean there's an approximation, but yes
10:23It's a while since I've seen one
10:25And now the other thing it's a lovely cast and that you all hung out, but you also brought
10:33Your lovely dog pip my dog pip. Yes, who doesn't appear in the film. No, but he's backstage right now. Oh, is he? Oh, yes
10:41You should have brought him on. This is this is you and pip on set
10:45By the way, I should say this isn't a spoiler
10:48Did the dog do it?
10:51He wants you to think he did
10:53Hey
10:55Those I I get lost in those eyes. I know yeah, and uh now this
11:00Crucifix is this the crucifix you brought from another film? Yes. Yes, um, I have an incredible costume collection
11:06From my first movie and that crucifix was actually given to me by my father when he visited saint peter's
11:13A long time ago, and I wore it in house of the spirits
11:16And I said wouldn't it be nice to get it and wear it again in this
11:20Film and I did and it meant really meant something to me. And is it true the thing about your contract?
11:26Yes, but you know costume. Yeah, yes
11:29So everything I can pick whatever I want not if not if it's rented though. I have nicked a couple of things
11:36I have to say and what do you do with them all well, first of all I?
11:42I spent a lot of time in fitting rooms
11:45And especially in movies where you don't have a lot of time to rehearse if any at all
11:50It's in that costume room when they're constructing the character
11:54You're literally part of constructing the character as they're putting the clothes on you
11:59So I have kept all of them from my first movie plus I have a hundred and one hundred and two dalmatians
12:04So I have the original sunset boulevard costumes. It's an extraordinary collection
12:08Which has already been shown in two different?
12:11Museums, you know, you could raise money for charity. I could I could but she chooses not to
12:21Glenn hates charity
12:27Because otherwise they're rented out and torn apart and yeah, the only thing I kept from harry potter was a pair of socks
12:34Because they were nice kind of thick woolen socks. Yeah, I wear them in life. I do wear them in life
12:42Is that all you've kept from all the things you've been in? Yeah, because I don't
12:47Hang on to the costumes, you know
12:50Because alexander you like to collect things from films. You've kept some things haven't you?
12:54I do have a bloody g-string that I wore in the northmen framed in my bedroom framed framed
13:01By the costume department as a rap gift. You didn't take it into the framers
13:07Yeah, I got a couple of um
13:10I got my fangs from true blood
13:13um and uh
13:16Two heads one from infinity pool and one from uh murder bot. Do you hide it places to scare me?
13:21No, I yeah, well, no I do like I put him like I tuck him in if I have guests staying over
13:27I usually tuck one of them in in under the sheets in the guest bed
13:33And then I'll appear I'll appear in the middle of the night with the fangs
13:38You're glad he didn't rent the room now
13:42And Nicola that your barbie dress did you get to keep that?
13:45I didn't but they made me I had a two second role in barbie
13:49But a jacqueline duran the costume designer was like what do you want to wear?
13:52And she made me a record of a dress of a barbie I had as a little girl
13:56She was I know it was amazing. She was called sparkle eyes barbie
13:59Um, they didn't let me keep it, but i've stole knickers on every set i've ever been
14:04Because I got a text
14:07But you go home in them and then you get a text to be like hi nicola well done today
14:10Could you please bring back the underwear because you've taken all of the characters under and i'm like yeah fair
14:15Yeah, there's none left
14:17Actually, we've got a very cute picture of you is your barbie in this picture no
14:22But that's me uh i think i was about six and that's with my barbie convertible look how bloody delighted i am with myself
14:29I never knew you were rich nicola cocklin
14:31Yeah, pretty fancy
14:35It looks a bit red in that it does a little bit yeah
14:38It was my dad set up the camera in front of the christmas tree and i was posing thinking look i'm pretty cool
14:43Yeah, you are
14:44Thanks very much i mean look at the size of that thing yeah, it was huge it was amazing you could have driven it to school
14:50I've got a nightie in that material actually that's interesting yeah
14:55But i mean i just happened to know no no i know and please i share with the group uh yeah
15:00Now uh glenn close you have been in something else very fun uh all's fair
15:07Because kim kardashian and sarah paulson were here telling us all about it yes that was before
15:12Or it came out and
15:17Well no
15:18Listen we can laugh about it because it's an enormous success and uh there's a season two coming isn't there there is yes
15:28Were you slightly taken aback by the
15:30The reviews i didn't read any of them okay no one doesn't read reviews
15:37I won't say i won't say anything then
15:40You must have known something because you did post this cartoon yes which is critic bunny stew
15:45Yes did you draw this i did it's very good thank you yeah i thought it was appropriate
15:55Pretty good likenesses you can tell whoever it is and talking of critic bunny stew you had a movie night you and the rest of the cast
16:03Yes yes because it came out that kim had not seen fatal attraction
16:09So a lot of you probably haven't either if you're you know if you haven't you should yeah
16:13It's a really good movie it's a scary movie um
16:15So everyone said what what what and uh so so kim said i let's all go over to my mother's house
16:21In our skims pajamas
16:24And watch fatal attraction oh there you are there we are wow
16:30And we did was it awkward for you everyone just watching your movie well i hadn't seen it in a very long time
16:38I mean memories flew back into my mind especially i didn't know that i showed
16:43My breasts so much
16:46I mean they weren't anything spectacular to see but they were they were visible
16:51Good good
16:55It's still streaming miriam you can get it
16:58I've seen it
17:01But you didn't have an intimacy oh no counselor then or no what do they call them people
17:09Yeah intimacy coordinator
17:11I can't imagine such a thing either but they also don't you have those those when you meet somebody it's called
17:17If you get along or you want to okay a chemistry a chemistry read yes
17:23Oh that's absurd isn't that
17:28I don't understand i don't think i'd have a career if i had to have a chemistry
17:32But when you screen test isn't that like a chemistry read like do they make you screen
17:40Oh my god when i screen test for fatal attraction it was a nightmare i i've never known what to do my hair my hair was long
17:46And i didn't know what to do my hair was like and i took a valium because i was so nervous
17:51So i was walking across you know to the parking lot in l.a kind of like this
17:56And you walked into a room and there's a camera and there's michael douglas
18:01And i wanted to just
18:04Crawl into a hole
18:06Do you guys know each other at all or was that the first time you met no no and we do these scenes and
18:10edgy and live say hotter hotter hotter
18:13What do you do when somebody says hotter hotter i'd say fuck off
18:24You can see glenn and a great company of stars in wake up dead man and knives out mystery
18:28in cinemas now and coming soon to netflix but now alexander
18:33Skarsgard brings us what we've all been waiting for a gay biker rom-com
18:40Finally finally
18:42It's called pillion and it's in uk and irish cinemas from today and before we talk about it
18:49Let's watch a clip uh this is your character ray meeting the parents for the first time
18:55gosh you're tall uh sorry peggy uh uh peggy pj um nice to meet you right how do you do um
19:08time for a quick drink uh no thank you not when i'm writing no of course not i was i thinking
19:14good lad yeah well well something soft we better get going you uh you don't sound local ray where's home
19:22um chiselhurst chiselhurst that's very nice i've never thought of colin as a chiselhurst sort of
19:30person no he'll survive
19:35all right come on then colin all right you just all right oh uh right right sorry to fuss but uh you
19:42do have a spare helmet yes yes and he actually has to wear it dad because uh he's not getting on
19:48without one he is not getting on without one great nice bike plain black none of this neon crap
19:58not you see everywhere nowadays ain't you colin yep
20:06you sure you know what you're doing yeah don't worry dad i'm i'm not worried i rode a bike when i met
20:13colin's mom and sold it when the twins come along bought a very expensive pram i don't suppose you
20:21two need to worry about that
20:28douglas hart and leslie sharp there as the parents and harry melling as colin so colin and ray uh uh
20:36tell us about because it is kind of it's it's all sorts of things but there is a romance at the heart of
20:40it yeah it's a it's a sort of a love story it's a sub dom love story ray my character uh spots colin
20:49in a crowded bar and uh decides that this could be a potential great sub for him so he uh they go out
20:56on a date and uh and then um that's the beginning of something quite intense yes and it's it is very
21:04intense and it's quite out there but there's a kind of a sweetness to it as well well in a way it's a
21:11coming of coming of age story for for harry's character uh colin because it is his his first
21:17relationship and he's figuring out what ray wants out of this relationship and then
21:22as we get into the movie 30 40 minutes into the movie he starts to realize that well is this exactly
21:27what i want out of a relationship and then he's kind of um has to come to terms with with that and
21:32deal with that so um so yeah it's a it's a classic dom com
21:42you're not gay are you no not really
21:47you do you do remember that day 20 years ago
21:57not at all
22:00it's just fascinating because you know i've been enthusiastically gay for a very long time
22:07and i'm always surprised by fellas who who come across it later but you you you you're having to act
22:19it and how did you research it if you didn't know much about it because you do we all do research
22:26yeah i mean these are all the questions i was going to ask
22:29a lot has been made about uh the the sex in it and but it's but it's interesting it is it is really
22:44out there but it's always it is always kind of pivotal to the plot and the characters yeah i mean
22:49i find sex scenes are only uncomfortable if they if they if you don't understand why you're shooting
22:59the scene if it feels gratuitous or if you're like why am i walking around naked in this scene it
23:04doesn't really serve the story or the narrative it doesn't push it forward and um yes there are some
23:09graphic scenes in the movie but they're all kind of pivotal moments in the relationship and in colin's
23:14journey um so i was quite excited about shooting them because again it's like they were key components
23:21to the narrative you had a wrestling one and i was like you're gonna murder him it was i was like you
23:27have you wrestled before but then and then we ended up making sweet love you did make sweet love
23:34but like you yeah i was like you're gonna kill him that was the first time we met actually no yeah we're
23:39we met two days before we started shooting and we rehearsed that wrestling scene harry and i wow
23:44and really got to know each other well i would say so yeah because again harry's character um
23:51is very inexperienced and has to learn from ray in the in these scenes so it wasn't supposed to be
23:58good and and it's confusing so many harry's but harry lighten the writer director also wanted it to feel
24:05clumsy and had a thing which i love that like often sex scenes are it's too kind of polished and the lighting
24:12is always perfect and there's two like hands grabbing sheets that kind of crap like what was
24:18so great about this like he was like he's not seeing bridgerton
24:27nicolas sheet grabbing is second to none it's like the romanticized version of of sex and what was
24:34great about these scenes and what made me excited about it was yes they are hot and and intense but
24:42there's also room for awkwardness and when people change positions it can look clumsy and weird and
24:49it's kind of fun to leave that in rather than cut around it so it's like everything is not perfectly
24:53choreographed dance and why do we think we i think we all have an impression that the swedish people are
24:58unshockable that they're very kind of bohemian or have we just made that up i think that is not
25:05quite true i think it was um but you run around naked a lot don't you well my family yes but in general
25:13i think it's from a movie called the only thinking gul from the 60s that was kind of made a big impact
25:18around the world because it was like sexually very liberating and um and swedish so that kind of
25:25ever after that people were like oh they're so liberated and free so you are swedish are you um
25:30yes can you do the accent for us i'd like to hear that i think he has been yeah yeah anything for
25:37you miriam very sing-song in swedish it's kind of like that was gibberish but yeah
25:48yeah there is a sort of music in it like you know
25:51and here's the thing you're doing a press tour but you're not doing it by yourself because the
25:58the real gay bikers club that feature in the film uh they've been uh traveling around with you right
26:05they come to the show some of them were here i i think we can spot there they are hello
26:10oh that's amazing yeah hello guys hi hi hey love you we've got a picture of them all on the red
26:26carpet there they are the london film festival lovely are you is that matt is the pup is oh you are you the
26:32pup yeah honestly it's like the show back in the channel four days i'm having flashbacks and they've
26:42been biking around with you have they've been to various that's not the only one yeah a bunch of
26:48these guys came down to can for the world premiere which was pretty incredible wow that was the first
26:54time i watched the movie with an audience to to to do that with harry and harry and the guys and the
27:02fact that they came down was just meant the world to me it was an incredible night well it's a really
27:08special film uh it's very hard to describe but i really hope people see it because it's just terrific
27:13thank you you're you're great in it it's a pillion and it's in cinemas now very good
27:22always a treat when miriam marvelies puts pen to paper and this is a goodie it is called the little
27:29book of miriam it's out now and this is your third book i think it is yes but you've sold almost one
27:37and a half million books amazing it is amazing congratulations i feel quite humbled how do you
27:44write it on your computer computer on my computer yeah no i i never thought i was a writer and some
27:52people agree with that i've been immensely lucky actually and honestly being on this show helps to sell
28:01it that's why she's here ladies i thought you were going to say he inspired you no it's a flogging
28:15opportunity you are a writer also and your books are lovely oh that's right i really urge people to
28:27to buy graham's books and and read them read them people don't read enough you're scrolling and
28:33scrolling read read a book read this book yeah and you you tour the country with your books and you play
28:44these big theatres and this is night after night you do this and do you enjoy it or is it kind of
28:50oh i do i mean i think you would agree with that you're an actress and you're an actress it's
28:56wonderful to be in front of an audience you know i'm an old tired lady well i'm hardly a lady really
29:03but i i i love being in front of an audience it gives me a buzz a thrill i get energy from it i get
29:13joy from it i really do and i think most actors do i don't like cameras i'm not interested in them
29:20but to be with a live audience to get the response from them and to feel that they're listening to
29:26me and sometimes quite liking what i'm doing that is magical and the book is a kind of a to z of your
29:34thoughts and your stories and there's a story and i know people ask you to tell this story a lot when
29:39you're doing your live shows i think it was when you're on with will i am and you told the story
29:44and you know the one i'm talking about where you're going home in edinburgh late at night and you
29:49there's a man up a tree you assist him and but what you reveal in the book is there's more to this
29:57story i know i didn't i didn't tell it um on television because i felt nobody would believe me
30:04but after i had helped and supported the troop it was a soldier up a tree oh wanking miriam and and i
30:12uh he wasn't stuck he was just up a tree he was up a tree i heard the rustles i saw what was going
30:19on asked him to come down i finished him off very pleasantly and there was no threats i was wiping my
30:29hand in the in the grass and a voice from the bushes this is the new part of the story when we left
30:41this story you were wiping your hand on the grass yes i heard a voice come uh from the seat that was
30:49just where i'd been and a very nicely dressed gentleman came forward and said um i couldn't help
30:59noticing what you had done for that young man and i wondered if if it was at all possible
31:08whether you would do the same for me and um i said uh i thought to myself well i can't say no
31:21sorry about it but you can say no i just felt i couldn't okay that's the thing yeah
31:27i think you're gonna love pillion but this could be a scene from
31:34so i did what he asked me to do to right there no right there there was nobody else there you know
31:42so off he went and i was wiping my hand in the grass and lo and behold this is the bit nobody believes but
31:50it is true a voice from the same place said hey miriam and it was someone i knew he was a young student
32:02that i had known in oxford no i went to cambridge but he i met him in oxford because i lived there
32:08and he said listen we're old friends you know i said oh come on
32:18that's fair and he said oh come on miriam you know so i did
32:22three for the price of one beautiful story it's true it is honestly true
32:34i'm surprised you're not still there miriam
32:36i feel i feel you know you you tell these great stories we love having on the show but i feel
32:51that often it takes away from the fact that you are this great actor so i'm delighted to say that you
32:57are in a short film uh that's coming out in the new year i am very good in this film it's called
33:05a friend of dorothy but the real star is that young boy up there alistair nchoku yeah he's wonderful
33:15it's and my agent has taken him on he's so good so good and so lovely and he helped me to be good too
33:25as did the writer and director lee knight it's just a wonderful film so it i believe it's going
33:31to be on one of those streaming channels it is very soon yes i can't tell you which one because it's
33:37a secret but i know it's the first of january on the first of january yes rush to see it because
33:43it's really wonderful it is it's a very very sweet film and you're both so good and it's gorgeous
33:48absolutely gorgeous we look forward to that and don't forget the little book of miriam that is out
33:52now okay good news everyone miss nicola coughlin is returning to the london stage in the playboy of
34:02the western world at the national theater from the 4th of december 4th of december oh that's next week
34:08i know how are you all set you ready well we did our first sort of run this today in
34:14in the room was our last day in the rehearsal room they said you know two or three people
34:17people will be coming in and it was sort of three rows on either side of the room and i went oh no
34:21and it was terrifying but like you said very exciting to have an audience there to perform
34:26to and yeah it's very very exciting and obviously the playboy of the western world classic play
34:30i'm saying if people don't know if it's somehow passed them by who are you in it what's it about so
34:35i play a young lady called peguine mike and it's set in the west of ireland in 1907 and there was big
34:40riots when this play came out because um they talked about women's shifts so women's underwear
34:45in it and people were like no irish women you know they would never talk about underwear we couldn't
34:50be so crazy and then they tore up the theater to prove how not badly behaved um so yeah so she runs
34:57this pub in the country and everything's sort of going along a bit humdrum and then a young good
35:01looking man walks in and everyone sort of goes well who are you where did you come from and they barrage of
35:06questions and then he sort of said leave me alone i killed my father and instead of being horrified
35:11they'll go that's amazing that's really cool and exciting and we all fancy you yeah and you've
35:18reunited with dairy girls co-star siobhan sweeney have you ever been on stage with her before i never have
35:24but she is the queen of ireland we sort of play love rivals for christie played by the lovely anna hardwick
35:30in the middle which is great fun because my character we did a show together called dairy
35:33girls and she was i know that oh do you yes i do oh sorry oh my goodness thank you very much um brilliant
35:42all of you oh thank you thank you very much but my character in the show was very scared of her
35:47character because she was a nun very scary nun but in this we're rivals so we get to go toe to toe which
35:52is great fun and here's the thing it's a return to live theater for you yes yeah and so you'll be in
35:57front of a live audience and people are talking about how great that is yeah but it's also quite
36:02it can be quite intimidating because audiences have changed i feel but it's absolutely terrifying
36:06i mean i've done theater before a lot of direct address theater where you're just speaking it out
36:10to the audience and you have interesting things when that happens because people assume that you
36:13can't see them and you really can sometimes and i did a show once where i looked up in the audience
36:18and a man just took out a lunch box and just started eating like a microwave shepherd's pie
36:22but i was like right this doesn't make what i'm doing quite difficult but um so please if you come
36:27to the national just like don't eat the shepherd's pie before or after that would help like a lot and
36:32the phones thing is the phones thing oh yeah it illuminates your face i stopped the show once
36:38yeah did you yes i was doing sunset boulevard on broadway yeah and you know you prepare prepare and you
36:43have make a great entrance and it was a flash flash flash flash flash flash and as you're doing this song
36:49you're thinking what am i going to do about this what am i going to do about this and i walked to the end of the stage
36:53and i said we can either have a photo shoot or we can do the show you decide yeah
37:05alexander skarsgard have you done any theater yeah in sweden years ago it's probably almost
37:12well 15 20 years ago now wow you know temptation to get back on the boards it's a lot of work my friend
37:18it's a lot of work so no i'm incredibly lazy and you come from this big acting dynasty the the scars
37:26guards uh to your dad stellen but then how many of your siblings are yeah oh he is a good actor
37:35oh he really is my favorite scars guard yeah i didn't mean that in a nasty way no no i absolutely mean it
37:43it was wonderful but i i heard you were very jealous of your father being in mama mia oh god i mean who
37:49who wouldn't be i mean look at that it was yeah he was just obviously a big of a fan but was that in
37:56the film of mama mia yes oh what it's a great movie have you not seen it i did see it yeah you're not
38:05disappointed i thought it was dreadful it's not for my father's performance no no i i don't remember
38:13your father's performance but it really wasn't to my taste i think what i uh was jealous of was
38:27was the experience because i remember like he was having the most fun he's ever had i think they all did
38:33there were all the people in it and that's why that's also kind of why i appreciated the movie so
38:38much because you can tell it was kind of infectious like how much fun they were all having and yeah
38:43like my father is not a great singer but he was just belting it out and laughing and it just looked
38:49like it was a joyous experience i hesitate to mention nicholas new film but no you haven't seen
39:03this uh mama mia three no no you've got it this is such a posh it's a kid's film but it's a posh one
39:10uh the magic faraway tree yes it's you who else is amazing cast ridiculous cast claire foy andrew
39:17garfield rebecca ferguson uh jennifer saunders michael palin um it's honestly it was amazing
39:24i mean i read the script and had no idea who was involved with it but i thought it was simon
39:28farnaby who wrote paddington 2 which is one of the best movies ever in the world yeah and i was like
39:34desperate to be involved and yeah it was just a joy and it's a lot of people's favorite you know
39:40childhood book i'd never read it but i love meeting grown-ups they're like oh my god i got to play a
39:45fairy and i got lovely lovely ears well they got a picture of you have we there you are
39:52good yeah yeah great ears it was so much fun and there's three gorgeous kids who lead us and we got
39:58lots of magical lands and it was just a joy i loved it so much and when's that out it's out in march

47:58child with a strict mother um we were always taught not to leave any food on our plate and it was christmas
48:04day christmas dinner and as usual you would have sprouts on your christmas dinner which i hate
48:10um so everyone had left the the dining room table and i was left with my plate which had just had the
48:15sprouts left on there and we had a jack russell um terrier called timmy at the time and i thought
48:21well it'll be quite nice no one's going to see i can put the plate on the floor and the dog will eat
48:25the sprouts and i'll get away with it i put the plate on the floor the dog licked the gravy off the
48:30sprouts but left the sprouts but unfortunately i couldn't admit to the fact that i just got to try to get the
48:37the dog to eat the sprouts so i still had to eat the sprouts
