00:00From Jay-Z to Taylor Swift, Beyoncé to Bad Bunny, here are the biggest snubs and surprises from the 2023 Grammy Awards.
00:08DJ Khaled and Jay-Z closed out the Grammys with a dramatic performance of God Did,
00:13but the two rappers went home from the award show empty-handed, as both lost out on all the awards they were nominated for.
00:19Khaled went into the show with six nods, while Jay-Z had five.
00:23Similarly, past Grammy darlings Taylor Swift and Adele each only won one award despite multiple nominations.
00:30While Swift is the only solo female artist to win three Album of the Year Grammys,
00:34she failed to collect the much-sought-after Song of the Year prize for the 10-minute version of All Too Well.
00:40Elsewhere, while it was a night to celebrate for Beyoncé, who broke the record for most wins in Grammy history,
00:46and won four awards during the night, the singer lost out five awards for which she was nominated for,
00:52including the coveted Album, Record, and Song of the Year categories.
00:56Another big upset was arguably one of the biggest artists of the year, Bad Bunny,
01:00who failed to win the top prize of Album of the Year, losing out to Harry Styles.
01:05This was the first Latin album to be nominated in the category,
01:08and Bad Bunny ended up only earning one award in the night to the disappointment of many of his fans.
01:14And as far as surprises are concerned, Dave Chappelle won Best Comedy Album at the Grammys
01:18for his most recent special, The Closer, which received major backlash over material focused on the transgender community.
01:26The award serves as Chappelle's fourth Grammy and follows Louis C.K.'s controversial win last year
01:31for Sincerely, Louis C.K., his first comedy album since his sexual misconduct revelations.
