Stellan Skarsgård reveals to THR on the 'Dune: Part Two' carpet how he had "some anxiety" about getting into costume again for the second film, saying he stood still for 8 hours. Plus, he shares the moment he met Austin Butler for the first time.

00:00What would you say was the biggest challenge between shooting the first film to now, part two?

00:05The biggest challenge was probably to get into that suit again because it was very uncomfortable.

00:11I think I painted the role quite well the first time, so I stuck to that guy.

00:21But I had some anxiety about going into that makeup thing again.

00:27Well, how long did the whole hair and makeup process take, and what was that like for you?

00:31When I had a full bodysuit, it took eight hours.

00:35I was sitting still for eight hours.

00:37How do you sit still for eight hours? What did you do to pass the time?

00:40I watched the guys doing my makeup, and they're painting it in by hand.

00:46It's very beautiful work.

00:48I can imagine. I know Austin Butler also joined the cast this time around.

00:52I heard he went partly method for this.

00:56What was your first reaction when you saw him in character?

01:00I didn't think he was method because he said that he was method?

01:08Nah.

01:10That's what we heard. That's what Denis Villeneuve said.

01:12Yeah, so he was evil for real.

01:17No, but I met him, and he talked to me in my voice the first time I met him,

01:23because he had been working on my voice to create a sort of familiarity with it.

01:30And he also had makeup on him, so he was fantastic.

01:36And he's such an intelligent actor and so good, and I really enjoyed seeing him,

01:44the pleasure he felt in being evil.

01:47Yeah.

01:47Did you give him any advice on nailing the bald look?

01:51No, I didn't.

01:53I don't even give advice to my kids.

01:57Fair enough, fair enough.

01:58I have to ask, finally, Josh Brolin, he described the film as

02:01robot lady and Willy Wonka falling in love.

02:05How would you describe the film using anything but the actual characters?

02:09Are you able to?

02:11No, I can't.

02:12That was very good.
