00:00Trump Vice President Rips Cheney

00:02Vice President J.D. Vance wasted no time criticizing Dick Cheney.

00:07Less than two weeks after the former vice president died,

00:11the Trump VP said Cheney's time under George W. Bush didn't go very well.

00:15At the Make America Healthy Again Summit in Washington, D.C.,

00:19Vance spoke with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,

00:24who said,

00:24You know, the job of the vice president has been called the worst job in the country.

00:29Vance laughed and joked,

00:31I think we're out of time, ladies and gentlemen.

00:33After the audience settled down, Kennedy went on,

00:36claiming that Lyndon B. Johnson felt sidelined by his uncle, John F. Kennedy.

00:41He added that Spiro Agnew and Gerald Ford had similar experiences under Richard Nixon.

00:47However, RFK said that some former VPs, including Cheney, seemed to be running the country.

00:52While a few audience members laughed, others appeared unamused.

00:56The vice president's comment caught some off guard,

00:58especially considering Cheney had passed away only nine days earlier.

01:03Cheney, who's survived by his wife, two daughters, and six grandchildren,

01:07died due to complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease.

01:11His family shared.

01:13He was 84.

01:15Shortly after, Vance targeted Kamala Harris,

01:17noting that the role of vice president is incredibly contingent on the president.

01:21You can have a president who effectively just passes off big swathes of responsibility.

01:27You can have a president who delegates,

01:29or you can have a president who has no trust in their vice president,

01:33he said, before pretending to cough and mumbling,

01:36Kamala Harris.

01:37The jab earned a few more laughs from the audience.
