00:09CBS's The Late Show host Stephen Colbert took a moment during Tuesday's show to address President Donald Trump's sons.
00:15The host issued a formal apology to Eric Trump, which, guys, I have to say, was so heartfelt and big of him.
00:22And I quote, we always thought you were the dumb one.
00:26We were wrong.
00:26This comes after the news that Eric's bro, Donald Trump Jr., shared emails proving that he was told the Russian government had incriminating information for him about Hillary Clinton.
00:37The emails tweeted by Trump Jr., along with his publicist Rob Goldstone, showed that Trump Jr. had corresponded with a contact in the Russian government who assured him he had damaging information.
00:48Trump Jr.'s response?
00:50If it's what you say, I love it.
00:51President Trump applauded his son's transparency after the fact and assured the public that Trump Jr. is a, quote, high-quality person.
00:59Colbert joked about the journalists who have been trying to dig up the emails for months and how they must be in disbelief that Trump Jr. just went out and published them on Twitter.
01:08That's right, fake news.
01:11You got scooped by Donnie Jr., ha-ha.
01:13Colbert also brought out his chalkboard, or the figure-it-out-a-tron, as he calls it, to break down the Russia controversy.
01:21Hey, we should have had one of those for Comey or co-thief.
01:24Anyway, he even used the diagram to predict Trump Jr.'s future.
01:28Bottom line from Colbert?
01:30Oh, yeah, he's going to jail.
