Netflix is continuing the saga of 'Narcos: Mexico,' but with one major change at the top.

00:20However, there will be one major change at the top.
00:23Showrunner Eric Neumann is stepping aside for the new season.
00:27Co-creator Carlo Bernard, who has been an executive producer since the franchise launched in 2015,
00:32will step into the showrunner role,
00:34as Neumann focuses on his other upcoming projects at Netflix via his overall deal with the streamer.
00:39Neumann will remain involved with the series as an executive producer.
00:43The third season of Narcos Mexico marks the sixth one overall in the cartel drama,
00:47which remains a top global performer for Netflix among its original series.
00:52The season 3 news also answers the biggest question left hanging after season 2.
00:57Would co-stars Diego Luna and Scoop McNary return?
01:00Tuesday's announcement confirms that McNary is indeed among the returning cast.
01:04However, Luna, who will be starring in a Star Wars prequel series for Disney+, is not.
01:09Neumann told The Hollywood Reporter this of how the drama will continue to evolve.
