00:00Dear Commissioner, What is happening in Pune? When will this surge of local goons be stopped?
00:21The Kohita gang continues to spread terror in the culturally renowned city of Pune with no end in
00:26sight. They are smashing parked vehicles in one place, committing robberies in another, and most
00:31shockingly, these acts are carried out brazenly, often right in front of the camera. Watch this
00:37special report and ask yourself, does law and order still exist in Pune? On November 26th at 8pm in the
00:44Vimannagar area, a shocking incident occurred. A gang of five to six individuals, the Kohita gang,
00:49went on a rampage, attacking a pan shop owner. The trouble began when the gang demanded cigarettes
00:55and wimmel from the shopkeeper. Fearing the aggressive mob, the shopkeeper complied. However,
01:01their demands escalated. Suddenly, one of the goons pulled a Kohita, Mashiti, from his shirt
01:07and immediately began to vandalize the shop. He violently struck the shutter, counter and
01:12merchandise with the weapon. Local citizens, witnessing the mayhem, fled the scene for their
01:16safety, after which the gang members ran away. As the traumatized shopkeeper was trying to recover,
01:22the same goon still holding the Mashiti returned. He brandished the weapon again, threatened the
01:27victim, took more items and finally left. All of this occurred in a crowded, high-traffic area
01:33and most critically, it was recorded clearly on CCTV cameras. This entire act of terror by the
01:38Kohita gang has been captured as evidence. Now, let's look at CCTV footage from a second
01:43separate incident in Adarshnagar, Fursung. On a recent Saturday night at Tipu Sultan Chowk,
01:49another Kohita gang unleashed chaos. Wielding Mashiti's and stones, the gang vandalized 20
01:54to 25 vehicles, not just one or two, but over two dozen cars, auto rickshaws and two-wheelers.
02:00They attacked everything in their sight. This massive act of destruction was also caught on CCTV.
02:06No one dared to intervene due to the weapons held by the goons. This large-scale vandalism has sent a
02:11fresh wave of panic through Pune city, prompting urgent questions about law and order and police efficiency.
02:17When citizens are terrified and criminals roam freely, the public is asking, where are the police?
02:23Following the massive outrage over the law and order situation,
02:26the police tracked down the perpetrators in the Fursungi case.
02:29It was revealed that most of the accused were juveniles.
02:32The one adult, Farya alias Farhan Sahab Lal Sheikh was arrested.
02:36Furthermore, the police made a show of force. They publicly thrashed the arrested goons at the
02:41very location where they committed the vandalism, making them vow not to repeat such acts.
02:46However, a critical question remains. Why do the police only seem to take action after a crime
02:51is committed? How long will this cycle continue where goons are taught a lesson only after the
02:56damage is done? In recent months, Pune police had been successful in cracking down on notorious
03:01gangs like the Andekar, Marane, Ghaiwar and Tipu Pathan gangs, with many of their members being booked
03:07under the stringent Makoka Act and subsequently locked up. Just when citizens felt the threat from
03:13organised crime was diminishing, these mashiti-wielding local goons have risen to spread fear,
03:19targeting ordinary citizens. The overwhelming public sentiment is clear. Pune's police commissioner
03:24must not only deal with the established crime syndicates, but also adapt effective measures to
03:30crack down on these local gangs so that every common Pune resident can feel safe again.
