00:20almost complete what's next is the search and rescue operation the fire burned through a
00:26multi-building public housing complex called wang fuk court within hours at the time the
00:32residential high-rises were undergoing massive renovations the buildings were covered in bamboo
00:37scaffolding and a layer of green netting material authorities suspect that these materials did not
00:43meet safety standards which contributed to the fire's rapid spread authorities are looking to
00:49hold people accountable with police having already made arrests police arrested three men around their
00:5750s at midnight who are the company executives in charge of the renovation at wang fuk court
01:02they're being detained at the moment police went to their office to collect evidence and conduct
01:06investigation the suspects are all being investigated for manslaughter at the same time city officials
01:12announced they are stepping in to help affected households in order to provide immediate help to
01:19the affected residents we will start to distribute an emergency fund of 10 000 hong kong dollars to every
01:25housing unit but the money may only be a short-term fix for a long-term problem hong kong's deadliest fire
