FIAT is celebrating the new Fiat 500 Hybrid with a series of events. The Heritage Hub in Turin is participating with the exhibition “L’Italia che piace: benvenuti nella casa di Fiat 500” (The Italy We Love: Welcome to the Home of the Fiat 500). Until January 18, 2026, the museum honors the significance of the Nuova Cinquecento, presented in 1957, for Italian culture. Tickets, which also include a guided tour in English or Italian, are available exclusively online (link).
For over 125 years, Fiat and Turin have shared a history shaped by people, ideas, and passion. The Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino (FIAT) was founded in the northern Italian metropolis in 1899. The Fiat 500 began rolling off the assembly line at the Mirafiori plant in 1957. The minimalist small car evolved into a social and industrial symbol of the country. Today, the new Fiat 500 Hybrid is built at the historic Mirafiori plant, opening a new chapter in the brand's history.
Former production buildings on the factory grounds now house the Heritage Hub, which contains the collections of the Italian brands of the Stellantis Group. The Fiat 500 history exhibition traces almost seventy years of Italian cultural history through the evolution of this automotive icon and looks to the future with renewed enthusiasm.
The exhibition's layout is designed like a house. Each room represents an era. At the heart of each scene are the Fiat 500 and objects that have shaped recent Italian history: radios, televisions, computers. The result is an emotional journey that reveals how the Fiat 500 has found its way into both the homes and the hearts of Italians.
