00:00Hey guys!
00:02Welcome to another video here on the channel.
00:06I hope you are all well.
00:09In this video, I will teach you how to configure Cura for the EZ3 X1 printer.
00:14A beginner-level printer that can do some pretty cool things.
00:19The printer comes with its own software, and you can use it without any problems.
00:24However, if you want something more professional, even for when you have a more professional printer,
00:29You'll already be familiar with Cura, which is one of the slicing software programs with an easy and beautiful interface.
00:35And it's free too.
00:37Since I'm a Linux user, I couldn't use the program that came with the printer.
00:42because it's only available for Mac and Windows.
00:49So I had to install Cura.
00:52Unfortunately, it doesn't have the EZ3 printer in the settings, and you have to configure it manually.
00:58I couldn't find any tutorials on how to do this.
01:02So I'm making this video for anyone who is having the same problem as me, or who just wants to use Cura because they think it's better.
01:10Downloading Cura is very simple.
01:14If you are a Linux user, like me,
01:16Just go to the app store, search for Cura, and install the Flapag version.
01:21because it is the most up-to-date and recent.
01:23If you are a Windows or Mac user,
01:47Just search for Acura online, go to the official website, and look for the option.
01:51Download it, choose your system, and download it.
01:54When you start the program, this screen will probably appear.
02:22where you can select what type of printer you use.
02:27Select the non-last option here.
02:40You will find two options for adding a printer; let's add it manually.
02:45You won't find the printer in that list.
02:48She won't be here.
02:57Let's select the Custom option and then select the Custom FFF option.
03:02Let's rename it to add our printer.
03:11And we will move forward.
03:25This part is important because this is where our printer settings will be configured.
03:30Most of the information we're going to put here can be found in the instruction manual.
03:36So it's important to have it to check if your printer has the information we're providing.
03:42Let's set this up first.
03:45Here is the size of the print bed, let's leave it at 100 millimeters.
03:49because that's the size of our printing bed.
03:51Let's leave the printing table in a rectangular shape.
04:00Leave these boxes unchecked.
04:06We'll leave you in Amarling here.
04:09Here, we'll set the minimum X and minimum Y values to 0.
04:22We should leave these 3 options at 100 and the last one at 100.0, as it is here.
04:52Leave this box checked and this one unchecked.
05:22Leave the number of instructors at 1.
05:33This part of Gode is important.
05:37You will enter the instruction code for the printer.
05:39I'll leave those two codes in the description for you to copy and paste here.
05:56Copy and paste the initial code into the initial Gcode field and the final code into the final Gcode field.
06:01Remember to erase the code that was written in both boxes before pasting.
06:09This part is already configured.
06:37Make sure you have configured it exactly as shown here.
06:50Now let's set up the second part.
06:53It's very simple here.
06:55You will only need to define the nozzle size and the material thickness.
06:58This information can be found in the printer's manual.
07:00And there
07:05And there
07:06And there
07:07And there
07:08And there
07:12And there
07:14Now just click next and you're done.
07:36Our printer is already configured.
07:44Let's add a model for testing.
08:14Your model must fit within this camera's limits, as that's the print width.
08:22Here you can see the print size in millimeters.
08:45Up here we have the print quality settings, media options, and other settings.
09:01In this section, we have the type of material; please specify the material your printer uses.
09:31Here you choose the printers.
09:45To slice the model, just press the slice button.
09:48He will determine the printing time and the amount of material used.
09:58I can't say if this information is accurate, because I printed a template, and it took longer than expected here.
10:05You can preview your sliced model and the printing process.
10:17You can use the controls to speed up the viewing process or go back.
10:28So, let's go.

11:06To save the file for use on the printer, go to Save to disk.
11:15And save the BOD file to the SD card that came with the printer.
11:20Remember that the file name cannot contain any special characters.
11:36Also, the printer will only print the most recently saved file on the card.
11:48So the file I saved earlier won't be read by the printer.
11:52Just save it and you're done.
11:56Simply insert the SD card into the printer and start printing.
12:00I'll leave you with the printing process I followed using these same settings.
12:06I hope this video helped you.
12:09If so, leave a like and subscribe to the channel to help me out here on the platform.

12:16Until next time
