00:00:00She don't like her legs or money She thinks crossing her legs is funny
00:00:16She looks down on her nose of money Gets it on like the Easter bunny
00:00:22But she's my baby, I'm her honey I'm never gonna let her go
00:00:30He ain't been late in a month or Sundays I called him once and he was sniffing my eyes
00:00:37He ain't too sharp but he gets things done Drinks his beer like it's oxygen
00:00:43He's my baby, I'm her honey I'm never gonna let her go
00:00:49In spite of ourselves, I'm gonna end up sitting on a rainbow
00:00:55Again, it's your hearts Honey, we're the big, big prize
00:01:00We're gonna spike Our nose is right off of our faces
00:01:07There ain't gonna be nothing but big old hearts That's in our eyes
00:01:12She thinks all my jokes are corny Convent movies make her horny
00:01:42She likes ketchup on her scrambled eggs Swears like a sail when she saves her legs
00:01:47She takes her licking Keeps on kicking I'm never gonna let her go
00:01:53He's got more balls than a big brass monkey He's a whacked out weirdo and a lumberjack
00:01:59Crazy as a fox and sly as a loon A lady comes and he's a howling at the moon
00:02:05He's my baby, he's my baby I don't mean me I'm never gonna let him go
00:02:12In spite of ourselves, we'll end up sitting on a rainbow
00:02:17Against all hearts Honey, we're the big, big prize
00:02:23We're gonna spike Our nose is right off of our faces
00:02:29There ain't gonna be nothing but big old hearts That's in our eyes
00:02:36In spite of ourselves, we'll end up sitting on a rainbow
00:02:41Against all hearts Honey, we're the big, big prize
00:02:47We're gonna spike Our nose is right off of our faces
00:02:53There ain't gonna be nothing but big old hearts That's in our eyes
00:03:00There won't be nothing but big old hearts That's in our eyes
00:03:05In spite of ourselves
00:03:08Welcome, thank you, welcome
00:03:20Welcome to the launch of our new lyric book
00:03:24Which in the design, I've had about as much to do with as the housework
00:03:30We've noticed the pants down there already
00:03:33But, well that is, I'm gonna explain that first of all
00:03:37So, um, Sarah said, um, I would really love to, like, I wanna decorate the stage
00:03:43And I wanna make it look all nice
00:03:45Like our living room
00:03:46Yeah
00:03:47And I said, I, my first reaction was, oh for fuck's sake Sarah, why do we have to do that?
00:03:52Can't we just play the fucking songs and not make extra work for ourselves?
00:03:56She said, no, I really do wanna make it look all nice
00:03:59And I said, but I said, well, if you can do what you want with your half
00:04:06In the interest of equality, I must be able to do what I want with my half
00:04:13So what, what have you done?
00:04:14There's a toilet run
00:04:16So this is, it's not quite the state of our bedroom
00:04:19Because
00:04:20It's really not, it's not, it's not, not authentic, um, bedroom mess out of ten
00:04:26This is more like a three, to be fair
00:04:29Can you describe it for the people at the back?
00:04:31It looks like a festival
00:04:33For the people at the back, my side of the room, we have some vinyl, my lovely leather jacket, my hat
00:04:40Some pretty things, fairy lights, and maybe a throw here or there, some joysticks
00:04:45Early outside of the room, we have pants, um, toilet roll, kitchen roll
00:04:51And some very, very well thumbed books
00:04:54And a bra, which I think he needs to explain
00:04:56Later
00:04:59So welcome, welcome very much, all of you
00:05:06Uh, it's lovely to see you upstairs again at Hennenschick
00:05:09And this really does feel like a home from home
00:05:11Because obviously we, we run the open mic downstairs once a month
00:05:14So we're here all the time
00:05:16And it's lovely to be upstairs
00:05:18And my birthday gig, which has been running now for years
00:05:21And I only do it to get all the love from you
00:05:24So, which I've been given, which is amazing
00:05:26Thank you so much
00:05:28Um, so we just have to decide now who's gonna play first
00:05:32So like any good
00:05:34So I, I think we should just vote on who's your favourite
00:05:37No, no, don't do that, no, don't do that for God's sake
00:05:43So like any, um, like any good show
00:05:45We're gonna start with, um, a diplomatic process of rock, paper, scissors
00:05:50To decide who goes, who goes first
00:05:52Can you remember how to play it though?
00:05:53You might break in at this yesterday when we practiced
00:05:55You were terrible
00:05:56I think so, I think so
00:05:57Hand behind the back
00:05:58Best of three
00:06:00Ready?
00:06:02Right
00:06:03One, two, three
00:06:05What?
00:06:09What the hell is that?
00:06:11Snappy dragon
00:06:12Snappy dragon burns paper
00:06:14One nil to me
00:06:17You can't, you can't just use this
00:06:18Dragon can't beat everything, that's not fair
00:06:20Let's try again
00:06:22One, two, three
00:06:23Rock beats everything
00:06:25Dragon melts rock
00:06:29We've had many of these games
00:06:30So far the score is 937 nil to me
00:06:34Yeah, I haven't done too well to be fair
00:06:36Have I?
00:06:37I haven't
00:06:38Can, can I ban the dragon or?
00:06:40No
00:06:41Okay, tell you what, I'm gonna start
00:06:43There you go
00:06:44I'll make a decision
00:06:45It is your birthday
00:06:46There we go
00:06:47It is your birthday
00:06:48Yeah, that is my birthday
00:06:49Actually
00:06:50Gotta be honest with you guys
00:06:52It's my birthday week
00:06:54Is that alright?
00:06:55Yeah
00:06:56Yeah
00:06:57Yeah
00:06:58Come on
00:06:59No
00:07:00No
00:07:01The thing is, right
00:07:02The whole ageing process
00:07:03Is very odd isn't it?
00:07:06I mean there I was thinking
00:07:08Oh my god
00:07:09I'm 51
00:07:10This is quite freaky
00:07:11And then like
00:07:13Three of the most glamorous women in the entire world
00:07:16Are in the audience
00:07:17And they're a lot older than that
00:07:20I mean like we have some very, very glamorous women in the audience today
00:07:24And two of, I think two of our audience members are over 80
00:07:29Seriously could give me a run for my money and the glam mistakes
00:07:33So I can't really complain, I'm a spring chicken to be fair
00:07:38So, okay
00:07:40Can you hear me okay?
00:07:42Yeah?
00:07:44Can you hear me in the back?
00:07:46Alright!
00:07:47Okay
00:07:48See we've got some young people at the back
00:07:49Look at them, they're in their 20s
00:07:51Wow
00:07:54Are you all in your 20s?
00:07:56Yes!
00:07:57Wow
00:07:59Okay, so I'm gonna start with my
00:08:02The Anthem of My Life
00:08:04So this is Too Old to Die Young
00:08:06This is
00:08:07I'm gonna say
00:08:08I'm gonna guess whether or not stuff's in the book
00:08:10Cause I don't know, I made it ages ago
00:08:12There went to the printers since then, you know
00:08:16So this is Too Old to Die Young
00:08:18I wrote this about my life
00:08:22On my birthday, it seems appropriate
00:08:24So here we go
00:08:25Here we go
00:08:47I've always been easy
00:08:49If you say something, I'm likely to agree
00:08:51Oh no, I don't like the word no
00:08:55And it's led me to problems
00:08:59I've been caught in some terrible situations
00:09:03Because I didn't know how to go
00:09:08But now those days are over
00:09:10And my rock and roll dreams are too
00:09:12So if my mascara is running
00:09:15It's because I'm telling you
00:09:18That I'll never make a record now
00:09:21I'll never be on MTV
00:09:23Cause I'm too old to die young now
00:09:27Well I guess this is me
00:09:30Yes I guess this is me
00:09:32When I was a young girl
00:09:34A man approached me and promised me the world
00:09:38A record man
00:09:41But I had my problems
00:09:44I had troubles in my home
00:09:47And had a jealous boyfriend
00:09:49Who said I'd never make it on my own
00:09:52And I believed him
00:09:54But now those days are over
00:09:56And life has turned the page
00:09:59If you want my advice
00:10:01I would see a rage
00:10:03My darling, rage
00:10:05Cause I'll never make a record now
00:10:08I'll never brand a clothing line
00:10:10Cause I'm too old to die young now
00:10:14But I thank God for his time
00:10:16Yes I thank God for his time
00:10:19If I saw a younger me
00:10:22Walking down the street
00:10:24Flowers in her hair
00:10:26And no shoes upon her feet
00:10:29I'd say run and get your guitar baby
00:10:33You're gonna be a star baby
00:10:35Cause if no one else believes in you
00:10:38You gotta have some faith in yourself at least
00:10:44I've always been easy
00:10:46It's been said many times
00:10:48People work all over me
00:10:50But I just try to be kind
00:10:54And as for my record deal
00:10:58I let someone else persuade me
00:11:00That it wasn't real
00:11:02And it's too late now
00:11:04I'm gone behind
00:11:06Cause all those days are over
00:11:09And all of those doors are closed
00:11:12I have my beautiful children
00:11:14And I'm grateful for those
00:11:16But I'll never make a record now
00:11:20I'll never be on MTV
00:11:23Cause I'm too old to die young now
00:11:27And I guess this is me
00:11:29Yes I guess this is me
00:11:31Hello
00:11:33Yes this is me
00:11:35Yee-hoo
00:11:36Thank you
00:11:46Thank you Kylie
00:11:52So about a year ago I was thinking to myself
00:11:55And I was thinking
00:11:57Wow the world's not in a very great state
00:11:59And I thought well
00:12:01Why is it not in a great state?
00:12:02What are the big threats?
00:12:03What are the big threats?
00:12:04And I guess there's the possibility of
00:12:07Of a nuclear war
00:12:10There's the possibility of
00:12:13Something happening with the environment
00:12:15There's the possibility of AI
00:12:18And all of these things are supposed to be a big threat
00:12:21To the human race
00:12:23And I thought about it for a while
00:12:24And I thought
00:12:26Well
00:12:28We've made zero progress
00:12:30Of any of those things
00:12:31At all pretty much
00:12:33I mean they're all at the highest thing that they've ever been
00:12:35And um
00:12:37My first thought was like
00:12:39Oh fuck we're all gonna die
00:12:41And I got really really miserable
00:12:43And then I started to think like
00:12:45Yeah but there's just a load and load of shit
00:12:48That I don't have to worry about anymore
00:12:50I don't have to worry about saving for the future
00:12:54I don't have to worry about all these kind of things
00:12:57My health in my old age
00:12:59All those sorts of things
00:13:01And it became a really liberating thing
00:13:03I started to think oh
00:13:05I can just pay the rent for the next year
00:13:08And any leftover money
00:13:10You can just spend and have fun
00:13:12So while I was going through this thought process
00:13:14Where I wrote this song
00:13:15Let's go with this song
00:13:45The prophet said
00:13:48The prophet said
00:13:50On the first day of July
00:13:53The sun won't rise no more
00:13:56And the wind won't fill the sky
00:13:59Better live before you die
00:14:01Before you die
00:14:19And the prophet spoke
00:14:21Through the morning mist
00:14:23He said
00:14:24You can measure life
00:14:26By the moments that you kiss
00:14:28The sun don't turn away from this
00:14:32And the prophet said
00:14:35The prophet said
00:14:38The prophet said
00:14:40I don't give a damn
00:14:45About your changing world
00:14:47Or the fate of man
00:14:52The prophet said
00:14:53About your changing world or the fate of man
00:14:59The prophet wants what the prophet gets, he said
00:15:05All your life is just a product of sex
00:15:23The prophet told me that the veil is thin
00:15:31But there's another world behind your melting skin
00:15:37And we end where we begin
00:15:53But the prophet said, now it's your turn
00:16:00You build your bridges, now you must watch them burn
00:16:06And the prophet knows the truth he reflects, he said
00:16:12Your heart will come to love what your head now rejects
00:16:23And the prophet said, from so far off hill, he said
00:16:38All your life is just obligations to fulfill
00:16:43Yet your heart is beating still
00:16:47Yet your heart is beating still
00:16:53Yet your heart is beating still
00:17:23Before we go any further, Elliot, I do think you need to answer the red bra kind of query
00:17:30that's circulating, I mean, all I can hear is, like, what's that red bra doing on Elliot's
00:17:35side?
00:17:35Red bra, red bra.
00:17:38It brings me comfort in times of trouble, that's all I'm going to say, sir.
00:17:43Oh, great.
00:17:44So it's not that you're actually wearing this red bra?
00:17:49Well, Andy, my uncle, says he has an image of it in his mind.
00:17:53I also teach him guitar.
00:17:55He wants me to wear it, and price is going up by £10.
00:18:02So, yeah, it's a different format tonight.
00:18:04You might know us from playing in the Heart Rain Band, doing the Dylan songs, or Lovercombe
00:18:11and Hall playing together, and with Charlie Rose, our violin player and keyboard player,
00:18:15but we're doing something different tonight, because we always like to mix things up a bit
00:18:20for the birthday gig, and thank you for being here.
00:18:22And so, yeah, we're doing our solo material, which is really nerve-wracking, believe it
00:18:28or not.
00:18:30So my next song I'm going to sing is Heavenly, and this, well, I was asked to write this for
00:18:39a charity called Elijah's Star, and this is a premature baby charity, and it's a little
00:18:48baby who lost his life, certainly.
00:18:51But I was thinking about this song when I was rehearsing it a bit, and it starts, some people
00:18:57want to set the world on fire, walk the high wire, shine on the silver screen.
00:19:01And, you know, like, especially now, celebrity, I don't know, do you know any celebrities?
00:19:07Like, I literally don't.
00:19:08If I turned on I'm a celebrity, get me out of here, I'd be like, who, who are you?
00:19:11I wouldn't know any of them, I really wouldn't.
00:19:13And, you know, the important stuff, even more now, it seems to be getting smaller and smaller.
00:19:19It's the people we know, and it's you guys here tonight, who are here supporting real,
00:19:24original music.
00:19:26Like, we're not electronic.
00:19:27We just pick up a guitar.
00:19:28We could do this.
00:19:29If the internet breaks, yeah!
00:19:32You're coming to us.
00:19:33If the internet breaks, you come to our boat.
00:19:35We just don't give up.
00:19:36Break the internet.
00:19:37Yeah, break the internet.
00:19:38And, yeah, and it made me think, you know, although this song is about somebody passing
00:19:45away and tragedy, actually, this song was also about the links and bonds of humanity from
00:19:53human to human and person to person, and the love that is still so important, much more
00:19:58important than all this AI crap.
00:20:00We're not very impressed, are we?
00:20:03Anyway, this is Helen Me.
00:20:07Some people want to set the world on fire, walk the high wire, shine on that silver screen.
00:20:30But fame and fortune, what are they worth?
00:20:35We're so little time on this earth, it don't mean anything.
00:20:42And if I had a dream, what good would it do?
00:20:47Cause it couldn't bring back you.
00:20:50When it comes to life's ambition, you were its fruition, so now what do I do?
00:21:01I'm trying to grow our wings, so I can fly up to where you are.
00:21:09Part of me believes, part of yours, and every single star shining for me.
00:21:24You're so heavenly, you're so heavenly.
00:21:36Summer built with so much light, they burn so fast and so bright
00:21:50They blaze a trail across your soul
00:21:53Burn too bright and unburned out, leave a breath of stars in your mouth
00:21:59Too much, too beautiful
00:22:01I look out on the horizon to where the sea and sky collide and I think that's where you must be
00:22:11Where the surfers ride white horses, where the heavens kiss the boats is, where you and I fly free
00:22:21Trying to draw ways, so I can fly up to where you are
00:22:31Part of me believes, part of you's in every single star, shining for me
00:22:45You're so heavenly
00:22:55You're so heavenly
00:22:59You're so heavenly
00:23:05You're so heavenly
00:23:15You're so heavenly
00:23:19You're so heavenly
00:23:29Thank you, Greg
00:23:31So this is the first of our, I guess this is the first of our travel songs
00:23:47I think it was 2020 we went to Argentina
00:23:52And we didn't really know an awful lot to expect
00:23:56But we didn't know that it was, the country was going through a very bad time
00:24:01At that particular time and it still is
00:24:05Historically in South America
00:24:09Argentina is one of the better off, has been one of the better off countries
00:24:14But in recent years it's had a lot of problems
00:24:18And if you take a country like Brazil
00:24:21People often say Brazil is the third world country
00:24:24The poverty rate in Brazil is about 15%
00:24:27Which is pretty high, basically needs to need food and shelter
00:24:31But in Argentina it's 50%
00:24:34And in some areas 70%
00:24:37And I think out of all the places that I've been to
00:24:42And it's not good to generalise about another kind of culture generally
00:24:47But I think if you've got something nice to say
00:24:49I think it's, I think it's okay
00:24:52And I think out of all the people that I've met in my life
00:24:55The Argentinians, they were just, they were just the best
00:24:58I love them, they love me
00:25:00Even though we got, the first thing that happened there was
00:25:03I got robbed, which was the first time I got robbed
00:25:07So you remember trying to figure out how to use the metro?
00:25:10Yeah, yeah
00:25:11That was very difficult
00:25:13But, so this song is basically, it's been a big thing
00:25:17This is that day
00:25:18I never, after going to Argentina
00:25:19I never had the same fears ever again
00:25:22About losing money actually
00:25:24Seeing what, what kind of, some people are living there
00:25:28Well they were going through the bins with their babies at 2 o'clock in the morning weren't they?
00:25:31Yeah, yeah
00:25:32And yeah, completely beautifully friendly
00:25:35If there was any chance to party
00:25:38They were really amazing at it, you know
00:25:41Yeah, I remember the time in San Taomo
00:25:43Yeah
00:25:44Watching the blues band in the square
00:25:46So those of you who know my song Boy With A Fish
00:25:48And I mentioned the blues band in the square
00:25:50That's the same place
00:25:52But this is um
00:25:53Sorry Elliot, but I just got to mention this
00:25:55Everywhere we go all over the world
00:25:57People come up to Elliot and go
00:25:59Oh it's you
00:26:00Oh yeah, I love you
00:26:01You're amazing
00:26:02Loving your work
00:26:03Can I have your autograph?
00:26:04Who do they think he is?
00:26:06Who do you think you are?
00:26:08But it happened in Argentina as well
00:26:11And he went to sleep on a wall
00:26:13Which is very Elliot type of behaviour
00:26:15And the blues band came up to him and go
00:26:17Do you want a gig on Saturday?
00:26:19They never heard him play
00:26:21They didn't even know I could play
00:26:23But a lot of the art in that region
00:26:26I've been far more influenced by the art
00:26:29That comes from that big river
00:26:31Than the Mississippi over the years I think
00:26:35And this is what I would want to say
00:26:37To the person that wrote me on the first day
00:26:40I met him on the subway
00:26:56It had just turned New Year
00:26:58It was hard in one's eye leaves
00:27:01Or the climate was fear
00:27:03Me in my shorts
00:27:07And him without shoes
00:27:09I should have known him
00:27:11But one of us would lose
00:27:13He looked me in the eye
00:27:15With a look soft and true
00:27:17Told me to grab the rail
00:27:18Cause that's what other good folk do
00:27:19I smiled at him kindly
00:27:20Pleased I understood
00:27:21I never thought my Spanish
00:27:22Was up to much good
00:27:23The Atlantic Ocean between us
00:27:24We stood shoulder to shoulder
00:27:25Wishing we was younger
00:27:26Both getting older
00:27:27My right hand grabbed my wallet
00:27:28My left hand grabbed the wall
00:27:29My right hand grabbed my wallet
00:27:30My left hand grabbed the wall
00:27:31And I thought I'd be so good
00:27:32We stood shoulder to shoulder
00:27:33We stood shoulder to shoulder
00:27:35I never thought my Spanish
00:27:36Was up to much good
00:27:40The Atlantic Ocean between us
00:27:43We stood shoulder to shoulder
00:27:46Wishing we was younger
00:27:48Both getting older
00:27:52My right hand grabbed my wallet
00:27:55My left hand grabbed the wall
00:27:57Making sure to be vigilant
00:27:59Making sure I didn't fall
00:28:01Well I got off at the next station
00:28:08When I heard the cello play
00:28:10Well I've always loved street music
00:28:14On his arms is good that way
00:28:16I thought of my family
00:28:19How I'd send a picture home
00:28:22Put my left hand in my pocket
00:28:24But there was no phone
00:28:26I felt slightly sick
00:28:32Like I was stranded in time
00:28:357,000 miles from home
00:28:39A victim of crime
00:28:54The feeling slowly faded
00:28:56As hours turned to days
00:28:59The city turned to coast
00:29:02I got lost in fortune's haze
00:29:05When my memories came to meet me
00:29:08On the corner of time
00:29:10I remember his eyes and how they looked away from mine
00:29:15There was a shame that I saw
00:29:21Before he turned his face away
00:29:23And if he was here now
00:29:26And if he was here now
00:29:27This is what I'd say
00:29:29I've seen your people suffer
00:29:35And I have seen your people burn
00:29:38And when you look at me
00:29:40You must think that it's my turn
00:29:42When over half the children
00:29:44Live under the poverty line
00:29:46Maybe it was justice
00:29:49When you took what was mine
00:29:51Maybe it was justice
00:29:52Maybe it was justice
00:29:53When you took what was mine
00:29:55Maybe it was justice
00:29:57Would you say you are a protest singer, would you describe yourself as a protest singer?
00:30:17I don't think I have enough logical thought to be a protest singer.
00:30:24Do you think it needs logical thought to be a protest singer?
00:30:27I think it's a combination between protesting and I know an amazing stripper, which is a heavy combination, I will have you know.
00:30:37The brass truner certainly raises a question, doesn't it?
00:30:42I think most of my songs are about my life and I don't think I really realised that until I came to write down the songs we were doing tonight and I thought, God, I'm selfish or self-obsessed or something.
00:30:54But maybe, you know, maybe that's natural for a songwriter.
00:30:59But the next song I'm going to do is not about me or him, but about two people in this room.
00:31:06And this is not about you guys at the back there, no, sorry.
00:31:11They got very excited then.
00:31:14It's about me!
00:31:16So, two of our audience have been coming to see our gigs for a long time.
00:31:21I think, I'm going back eight or nine years now, that one of these two first came to see us playing as Hard Rain Band at the Green Budge doing the Bob Dylan songs.
00:31:33And then the other one started coming along and then both of them were at every gig for years.
00:31:41Both of them looking at each other thinking, I kind of like you.
00:31:45And never really doing anything about it until eventually they did.
00:31:50And when they came to me and said, you know, we met at your gig and now we're together.
00:31:55I thought, I've got to write them a song.
00:31:57So this is the Ballad of Arthur and Mary and they're right over there!
00:32:02We love you! We love you! Oh my God!
00:32:05I didn't get my way on this one. What I kind of wanted was, I was kind of thinking, what would be amazing?
00:32:13Because they're dear friends to us and they're very, very kind people.
00:32:17And probably like, so what I wanted was for them to get on stage and then have to stay there smiling through the whole song.
00:32:27But Sarah just said that would be mean and we can't do that, so you have to look at them from here.
00:32:32Well, I was thinking you could come and dance down the front, the two of you.
00:32:36You're a striking couple.
00:32:38No, I won't make you do that either.
00:32:40Shall I just stare at you the whole time while I play it?
00:32:44This is the Ballad of Arthur and Mary.
00:32:46I saw you weaving through the tables looking for a chair.
00:33:02You looked like you were kind of lost, but like you didn't really care.
00:33:06And I guess by the time you get to our age, you know exactly who you are.
00:33:12But there's a wild light still shines in your eyes and makes you look less like a star.
00:33:18And you are so beautiful.
00:33:22And you wouldn't believe how long I've waited for this.
00:33:28Cause in my long life I've been happy and sad and lonely and waiting.
00:33:36Well, I didn't know I was waiting for your kiss.
00:33:46Waiting for your kiss.
00:33:52I saw you watching me.
00:33:55Did you think I wouldn't see?
00:33:57I thought you'd offer me a chair by the way you were smiling at me.
00:34:02And I guess by the time you get to our age, you would have learned how to be bold.
00:34:08But your smile wraps itself around my heart and make me feel sixteen years old.
00:34:13Cause you are so genuine.
00:34:18And it's hard for a girl to find one of them.
00:34:23And in my long life it's been complicated.
00:34:27I'll admit, but if I've waited, I don't mind if it's for this.
00:34:33If it's for your kiss.
00:34:37If it's for your kiss.
00:34:44But let's not wait any longer.
00:34:48People waste time all their lives.
00:34:54One thing I've learned getting older.
00:34:58Every day is a sacrifice.
00:35:03Without love.
00:35:04Without this.
00:35:05Without this.
00:35:08Without yours.
00:35:10Without yours.
00:35:12Without yours.
00:35:16Without your arms.
00:35:19Without you både and off.
00:35:23Without you.
00:35:24Without your knees.
00:35:25Theatre.
00:35:27Hey there, Mary, don't you like to sit down? It seems like many nights like these I've seen you hanging around.
00:35:41Oh, hey there, Arthur, you know I love the music, I do. But the real reason I've been hanging around is because of you. And this is so beautiful.
00:35:56And you wouldn't believe how long I've waited for this. Because in my long life I've been pretty much everything, but I've been waiting for when.
00:36:12Well, I didn't know I was waiting for your kiss. Waiting for your kiss. I didn't know I was waiting for your kiss. I said I didn't know, I didn't know I was waiting. Well, I didn't know I was waiting for your kiss.
00:36:42Can you show us how you kiss now, please, for the clown?
00:36:57No more waiting.
00:37:01That was lovely, Sarah. Thank you.
00:37:03You're welcome, guys. Thank you.
00:37:08So, um...
00:37:09I sometimes kind of proudly, proudly boast that I've wrote over 2,000 songs, which is sort of true.
00:37:22But in reality...
00:37:23Is it not true?
00:37:25It's true.
00:37:26But in reality, I don't really see it that way.
00:37:29I don't think I've really ever wrote one song properly.
00:37:32Um, because I don't believe in, um, I believe music and the arts has a magical power, and I believe it has far more magic and power than I would ever have as a person.
00:37:48So I believe the nature of being an artist is really to, um, to get out of the way as much as possible, and to be subservient and serve a greater force than you.
00:37:59And to try and let it come through you, and, um, so, often when I would write a song, um, like, I have a song that's quite well done, called Cold, which is about Alzheimer's.
00:38:11And people thought, I thought about Alzheimer's, and then I wrote the song about how I thought it would feel, or something like that.
00:38:20But the reality was completely different.
00:38:22What happened was...
00:38:23So, um, I got shown a picture, and there was a path, and there were two people, um, uh, they were about two-thirds of the way down the path, on the left-hand side.
00:38:34Is this an actual picture, or is it like a mental picture?
00:38:36It's a mental picture.
00:38:38And because of my mental illness, um, which is schizophrenia, it enables, um, you to, kind of, lose contact with reality in some way.
00:38:46And you can make the world inside your mind more, um, more real than what's actually in front of your face.
00:38:54And so I would just focus on this picture, and kind of go, whoa, this, um, into a trance.
00:39:00I wouldn't be really aware of what I was doing.
00:39:03And then I would write the song, and it was only right at the end I would even know that it was actually about Alzheimer's.
00:39:09So that was kind of, that's often how I'd write it would be from the picture that I was showing.
00:39:14And I guess, and sometimes it would end up being something very specific, like that song.
00:39:19In other words, sometimes it would just be a collection of, um, strange images, which I guess is this one.
00:39:25No one will be a...
00:39:26No one will be a...
00:39:27Caught between the packet of lies
00:39:42The man with the rain in his eyes
00:39:44I heard the sound of a noble whiff
00:39:47Just before my senses slipped
00:39:50When the chaos that stretched before me
00:39:52Was a new and different kind
00:39:55I hesitated, I stumbled and I fell
00:39:58Have a crack in my mind
00:40:01It was then I took to wander in that valley of fear and doubt
00:40:08Where shadows play with circumstance
00:40:11And the air can haul you out
00:40:14But now I'm playing underdog
00:40:17In a game of chance in the wind and fog
00:40:20But you know you just can't criticise
00:40:23The man with the rain in his eyes
00:40:26And I know it ain't no good
00:40:30To see redemption and brotherhood
00:40:33It's a crooked road that leads to the river's mouth
00:40:37And I know before the stare
00:40:42I have a memory of a voice aware
00:40:45And I know I should be heading north
00:40:47But I'm heading south
00:40:48Torn between a walking sun
00:40:53And the ancient mind at a funeral drum
00:40:56The scent of heaven, the blood of Christ
00:40:59On the thickest hair draws the deepest lies
00:41:02When all is said and done
00:41:04I guess the bad guy won
00:41:07And there ain't no golden prize
00:41:11For a man with the rain in his eyes
00:41:14I'm hoping he won't smoke me out
00:41:19Turn me loose to this desert drought
00:41:21Cause all I got is water in my mind
00:41:25And I know the face of God
00:41:30Can be found in a clump of sod
00:41:33Seek and you know you shall find
00:41:37Hanging by a single fret
00:41:41I have joined the ranks of the waking dead
00:41:44The jury's out
00:41:46But the judge is fast
00:41:47To take me through the looking glass
00:41:50And I know it's only hell
00:41:53To be found at the vine
00:41:55Well, the wishing well
00:41:56And everything lives and dies
00:41:59Except the man with the rain in his eyes
00:42:02Except the man with the rain in his eyes
00:42:06Except the man with the rain in his eyes
00:42:10So if you've written 2,000 songs, Elliot, do you remember...
00:42:27Oh, by the way, has anybody got a question for us?
00:42:29I know I said that we'd do a Q&A
00:42:31And I forgot to remind you...
00:42:32Apart from what the bar's there for...
00:42:34Yeah, the bar, Spanish Bags, that's another thing
00:42:37Do you remember, if you've written 2,000 songs
00:42:39Do you remember your own songs?
00:42:41Yes, I do
00:42:41They were terrible
00:42:43Of course they were
00:42:43Beyond belief
00:42:44So am I
00:42:45Can we hear one now?
00:42:46Why?
00:42:48I know
00:42:49This is my brother, my mum and my stepdad down the front
00:42:52Oh heck yeah, let's give them a round of applause
00:42:54Because they're being related to me, why not?
00:42:57And do you remember my song, Radioactive Toothpaste?
00:43:00I do
00:43:01Radioactive Toothpaste
00:43:02So me and my brother were in this band called...
00:43:05Well, actually just us two
00:43:07It was a band, it was just us
00:43:09Do you remember what we were called?
00:43:11Eternity
00:43:12Eternity
00:43:13Eternity
00:43:14The original
00:43:15Eternity
00:43:16And the original Eternity
00:43:18And we actually did a gig at the Hippodrome though
00:43:20When we were tiny
00:43:22I know
00:43:23Yeah, thank you
00:43:24Yeah, I know
00:43:27And do you remember what happened?
00:43:30No
00:43:31With Leslie Crowther's dressing room
00:43:33Does anybody remember the name Leslie Crowther?
00:43:35This is going back decades now, decades
00:43:38But he was comparing the night
00:43:40And he had the dressing room opposite ours
00:43:42And Matt thought there was nobody in there
00:43:44But it had a nice springy sofa in front of the mirror
00:43:47So he went in
00:43:49He was jumping up and down in front of the mirror doing his hair
00:43:52And Leslie Crowther walked in
00:43:54He was like
00:43:55Right
00:43:56Yeah
00:43:58I can't remember what happened after this
00:44:00No, nor me
00:44:01I'm really quite glad that I don't remember actually
00:44:02Because you never know with those old presenters and stuff, do you?
00:44:05I know
00:44:06Exactly
00:44:07I know
00:44:08I know
00:44:09I know
00:44:10My guitar street
00:44:11Yeah
00:44:12Yeah
00:44:13My guitar street
00:44:14Yeah
00:44:15Would it be possible to just share a couple of lines from
00:44:19Radioactive toothpaste
00:44:20An early poem of yours
00:44:22An early poem
00:44:23I don't remember radioactive toothpaste actually
00:44:25But I know it was like a protest song
00:44:27Just really badly worded
00:44:29Can we just invite the audience in?
00:44:31No, I don't think you need to tell them
00:44:33But I know you're going to tell them
00:44:35Oh, lotus eyes, let me fall upon your sword
00:44:41Did you?
00:44:42Or did you not write lotus eyes that you fall upon your sword?
00:44:47I have to be honest my love
00:44:51Oh no, oh no
00:44:53Is it terrible?
00:44:54It's so terrible
00:44:55I don't want to admit to that
00:44:57I am lotus eyes by the way
00:44:59If I knew them, well I know now
00:45:02Oh my god
00:45:03Oh my god
00:45:04Yeah
00:45:05Yeah
00:45:06My brother is
00:45:07Some of you might have heard Matt sing
00:45:09Because he sang with me last year
00:45:10But he was an absolutely amazing singer
00:45:11Yes
00:45:12Yes
00:45:13Everybody's like yes
00:45:14So we are going to do a
00:45:17We're going to do a gig next year
00:45:19We have a venue sorted out
00:45:20So you'll keep an eye out for that
00:45:22But my next song is
00:45:26And also I think I have somebody else in the audience tonight
00:45:28From my long distant past
00:45:30Ruth are you here anywhere?
00:45:32Yeah, Ruth
00:45:33From my A-level days
00:45:35I mean
00:45:36That's going about five years
00:45:39So
00:45:43This is a song about
00:45:45I guess
00:45:47I mean
00:45:48Trying to keep the arts alive
00:45:50Which isn't easy today
00:45:53In fact
00:45:54An awful lot of the
00:45:56Kind of acoustic musicians that I've known
00:45:59are moving on to electrical and bands or they're going or they're like full-time
00:46:03work and they don't really play anymore and you can't blame them I can't blame
00:46:07them because it's hard it's getting harder all the time and tonight is
00:46:11amazing because I'm looking out at this sea of faces and you've come to see
00:46:15original music and you come to take a punt on on songs that you don't know and
00:46:20it's absolutely amazing which makes you guys the coolest people in the universe
00:46:24right now so give yourself a pat on the back for that seriously yeah I know it's
00:46:29I mean it I mean it man it's getting very very difficult to keep like without art
00:46:34we have nothing without art we have nothing think about what music is think
00:46:38about where it started music started as a form of communication thousands of years
00:46:43ago probably before we could speak do you know what I mean it's really really
00:46:47important it sounds like I'm preaching now should I shut up this is a song about
00:46:53when me and Elliot first moved in together and that is going about 14 years
00:46:56ago now and I was living with Finn over there at the back raise your hand Finn you
00:47:03could and Ben next to you you were there most of the time as well and I was
00:47:08working in a cafe right across town in Staple Hill and we lived here we lived on
00:47:13North Street we live on a boat now but then we were living on North Street and the
00:47:18cafe was in Staple Hill and I'd have to get up at five o'clock in the morning to
00:47:23get the bus this is a song this is a song but it's also true it's true life it's
00:47:29true it's a true song and Elliot would still be asleep so I wrote this romantic
00:47:37song about leaving my mom sleeping and about how he was dreaming but actually I
00:47:41I was like you fucking want to go to stay asleep
00:47:44I want to be there
00:47:46the white ghost hub the dead man's soul rises out of the bridge
00:48:07The white goes tall, but the dead man's soul rises out of the Bristol docks
00:48:17And she walks across the spring bridge, and the bells chime six o'clock
00:48:22And it's vaguely snowing, but it isn't really cold
00:48:27And the girl's got twenty-one coming, but she's feeling twice as old
00:48:33And at home, a man likes sleeping, but she doesn't like to leave him there
00:48:41Cause she'd rather be in his warm, loving arms than anywhere
00:48:45And she knows that he'll be dreaming, but it probably won't be sweet
00:48:52Cause Lord alone knows the demons that make him cry out in his sleep
00:48:57And night after night, the devil rakes his flaws across his back
00:49:02One day she'll learn to protect him, and drive all the demons back
00:49:08But it's a hard time for the dreamers
00:49:21And it's a hard time for the dreamers
00:49:32Early morning, shop sprays on, and it's warming for the breakfast train
00:49:35Early morning, shop sprays on, and it's warming for the breakfast train
00:49:47When she hurries across Broad Street, and down towards the old arcade
00:49:52It's just another day, working for next to nothing, another day away from home
00:50:11A broken man cries out for change, she wishes she had some
00:50:16And she's thinking they'll bop a fortune as she runs across the road
00:50:22And the bus pulls out a bristle in the snow
00:50:26And she knows that he'll be dreaming, but it probably won't be sweet
00:50:33Cause heaven and all knows that demons support a blackness around his feet
00:50:38And night after night, the devil draws his cloak around his head
00:50:43One day she'll learn to protect him, and bring glory there instead
00:50:49But it's a hard time for the dreamers
00:51:02It's a hard time for the dreamers
00:51:13It's a hard time for all the dreamers
00:51:43All the dreamers
00:51:45All the dreamers
00:51:49All the dreamers
00:51:57Thank you so much!
00:52:13I think we've got a competition going on here.
00:52:26Samuel, he just won that one.
00:52:29It's usually Finn at the back.
00:52:33We had somebody else there who was
00:52:35going gunning for the prize of the longest clutter.
00:52:43So after this one, I am going to cheer it up a little bit.
00:52:48Just a bit.
00:52:52So this is a kind of weird sign that I normally play very often.
00:53:00It came after watching a documentary.
00:53:03It was a documentary that my dad said that I should watch.
00:53:08It's a true story of a young man from Cornwall
00:53:12who went what he's called helljumping.
00:53:16And helljumping was a specific thing that people came from all over the world.
00:53:24And they weren't trained to fight.
00:53:28So they would go to Ukraine.
00:53:32And they were normally aid workers.
00:53:35And they would kind of stay in the pocket of the aid workers.
00:53:39And then there's these other people that would want to do more.
00:53:43And they would go to the front line on their own without anything.
00:53:46And that's the story of this boy from Cornwall.
00:53:51How old is he? Can you remember him?
00:53:52He was 28, yeah.
00:53:54So this is his story.
00:53:56I've watched the documentary.
00:53:57And I just think he was such an amazing inspiration and person.
00:54:01So I kind of like this to celebrate him really.
00:54:03So I kind of like this to celebrate him really.
00:54:04He was a helljumper and his name was Chris.
00:54:24After 28 years on earth, he'll be surely missed.
00:54:31He was better than me.
00:54:34He was better than you.
00:54:37The things we would speak of, Chris would just do.
00:54:43For me and for you.
00:54:47Now Chris didn't like no one to feel such pain.
00:55:01So we left his home in Cornwall bound for Ukraine on a plane.
00:55:07Now everyone knew Chris couldn't find no gun.
00:55:22So he went to the front line without one.
00:55:27He lied to his mother who told them he was safe.
00:55:56Close to Poland's border, far from the mass graves.
00:56:06Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:56:09Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:56:12Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:56:14Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:56:17Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:56:22The victims they lay stranded.
00:56:24Was christened to their homes.
00:56:27A one-man rescue mission.
00:56:31Filmed on a mobile phone.
00:56:33He was deep in washing fire.
00:56:37When he took his last breath.
00:56:39I saw it on my TV.
00:56:43A thousand miles from what is left.
00:56:48Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:56:50Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:56:51Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:56:52Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:57:06Of war-torn Ukraine.
00:57:09Here we go, and part Ukrainian does that feed into the song, do you think you're good?
00:57:30Yeah, of course.
00:57:31Yeah.
00:57:32That's amazing.
00:57:33Yeah.
00:57:34So we went to, obviously, we go to, say obviously, we have Spanish flags here, we spend a lot
00:57:41of time in Spain.
00:57:42We spent about a third of our time in Spain this year, maybe?
00:57:46Not quite that much.
00:57:47The wishful thinking.
00:57:48Yeah, yeah.
00:57:49It's a lot less than that.
00:57:51It's like maybe a week, two weeks, two weeks, and one of the times we went to a festival
00:58:02of the countries, I think it was called, in Andalusia, in Fracarola, and one of the, and
00:58:09it was a festival with lots of different countries represented the food, the music.
00:58:13So it's like 40 tents, and in each tent you have the food from the country, and the music.
00:58:19Yeah.
00:58:20And one of them was Ukraine, which was a real surprise, didn't expect it to be.
00:58:24So we had like, can you remember what there was, Argentina, Brazil, and England, oh England
00:58:29was there.
00:58:30England, England was hilarious.
00:58:31That was close.
00:58:32It was close at nine o'clock.
00:58:33It did a fine effort job of representing, which is because you didn't close at nine o'clock,
00:58:39it was the only store that was closed in the whole place.
00:58:42But we went to Ukraine, the Ukraine tent, and it was quite amazing actually, because the bone
00:58:49structure, evident in Elliot, and his mother, Halla, who's doing the door, she's a wonderful
00:58:54lady.
00:58:55We put her on the door, like we do the door, we trust you, we trust you with our money.
00:59:00And the bone structure is really evident, and the food was, yeah, that was lovely.
00:59:04It was lovely to try that, because it's a massive part of your upbringing, but it's so, obviously
00:59:10it's just so difficult to go to, we can't go to Ukraine, so yeah, that was lovely to experience
00:59:16that.
00:59:17So we've got two songs left before the break, and after the break I'm going to do some more
00:59:21of my sing-along songs, and we're going to get you guys involved, whether you like it
00:59:26or not.
00:59:27So when I wrote, I'm going to level with you guys, I'm going to share something very personal
00:59:32with you now.
00:59:33When I wrote The Ballad of Arthur and Mary, Elliot was out, he came back and I said, I want
00:59:39you to listen to something, and just tell me if it's too corny, can you just be my sounding
00:59:43board here, because I don't want it to be too corny.
00:59:47And he, and I didn't tell him what it was about, and he listened to the song and I looked
00:59:51up, and before I get to the last verse when I mention their names, and he's got little
00:59:55glistening, glistening eyes, and I'm like, oh shit, he thinks it's about him.
01:00:02And then I have to sing the last verse, hey Mary, would you like to sit down, and Elliot's
01:00:09like, what?
01:00:10And she's like, hey Arthur, and I'm like, what the fuck, I thought this was about me.
01:00:15I thought this was her declaring her love for me.
01:00:17Well, I did that a long time ago, darling, but he was getting all soft and misty, and I
01:00:22felt terrible.
01:00:23So I thought, well I better write no song.
01:00:24So I did.
01:00:25And I'm, this is a lot of our travels in this song.
01:00:30It's called Days of Our Lives.
01:00:36I know sometimes you think I might want a more normal man, but you were my knight in
01:01:01a beat up old camper van, and money couldn't buy me all of the silver moons that we've carved
01:01:10in our long nights together.
01:01:17Sunsets and silks, the Arabian skies, I'm done on a mattress with you sleeping outside
01:01:28to get closer to nature.
01:01:32My animal boy, do you think I would swap you whatever?
01:01:40Other folks say that better days are coming.
01:01:45Hold tight, they say, cause they're on the horizon.
01:01:50But baby, you know, baby, I think that they're wrong.
01:01:59Cause these are the best days.
01:02:05These are the sweet days.
01:02:10These are the rhythm that we taste.
01:02:14These are the days of our lives.
01:02:21These are the best times.
01:02:27These you and me times.
01:02:32These are the times we'll look back on and wish we had over again.
01:02:39When you first picked me up, sir, in your thought, was it Green Stratocaster?
01:03:02Us VHS Kiss, us of the old ghetto blaster.
01:03:07And I think I was just waiting for my life to begin.
01:03:13When you swaggered in.
01:03:19And I'm not one of those who was born to be bold, but with you holding my hand.
01:03:27I've been bold as an otherwise planned.
01:03:30Midnight's in Mexico, old Amsterdam, Paris and Bruges in our first camper van.
01:03:36Andalusia, Argentina, driving to the borders of Africa.
01:03:41Fado in Lisbon, flamenco in Spain, running for cargo in the Yucatan ring.
01:03:47Barcelona, San Sebastian, dancing beside the walls.
01:03:53So I'll bite you thin.
01:03:56Other folks say that better days are coming.
01:04:02Hold tight, they say, cause they're on the horizon.
01:04:06But baby, you know, baby, I think that they're wrong.
01:04:15Cause these are the best days.
01:04:21These are the sweet days.
01:04:23Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:04:26These are the real, real days.
01:04:29Oh, these are the days of our lives.
01:04:33These are the sweet times.
01:04:42These you and me times.
01:04:45Yeah, yeah.
01:04:47These are the times.
01:04:48These are the times.
01:04:49We'll look back on.
01:04:51And wish we had home again.
01:04:54The way that you love me.
01:05:10The way that you touch me.
01:05:20The way that you trust me.
01:05:26Is proof.
01:05:40It is her birthday, so I think she deserves a song about her.
01:05:50The song has a bit of a strange origin.
01:05:54So there have been many times in my life where I've thought like my surname is either no or don't.
01:06:03Cause it seems to come after my first name so often.
01:06:07Don't.
01:06:08Don't.
01:06:09No.
01:06:10This is, so this was on our honeymoon.
01:06:14And we went to Barcelona on our honeymoon.
01:06:17And I read the guidebook beforehand.
01:06:21And it said the best way to introduce yourself to the passions of the Catalan people is to watch Barcelona play football.
01:06:30Well we did do that.
01:06:32We did that.
01:06:33But I wanted to get deeper into the passions of the Catalan people.
01:06:37So I got the laptop out.
01:06:39And I watched Barcelona play football.
01:06:42And I was patient and I wrote poetry.
01:06:44She went in the other room and we had a guitar with us.
01:06:47And she wrote a song.
01:06:48It's about the breakup of a relationship.
01:06:51And I'm going back.
01:06:52Probably a coincidence.
01:06:53I'll put another game on.
01:06:55She gets another song.
01:06:57And it's about committing suicide.
01:07:00And I'm thinking.
01:07:01So fluffy as of me.
01:07:02Still.
01:07:03And then she comes in.
01:07:04She says.
01:07:05Elliot.
01:07:06For fuck's sake.
01:07:07Will you please get out of that bed.
01:07:10Stop watching Barcelona play football.
01:07:12And can we please fucking do something.
01:07:14I said.
01:07:15Do you know what he said?
01:07:16No.
01:07:17I'm watching a game.
01:07:18What?
01:07:19Do you hear that Elliot?
01:07:20Do you hear the response?
01:07:21Eventually.
01:07:22Do you hear that Elliot?
01:07:23Do you hear the response?
01:07:24Eventually.
01:07:25She managed to prise me out.
01:07:26And I just said that.
01:07:27She said.
01:07:28We've got to do something now.
01:07:29Or I said.
01:07:30Okay.
01:07:31Let's go.
01:07:32Let's go now.
01:07:33Let's go down and use this beach.
01:07:34And hang out with amazing looking Spanish chicas.
01:07:36It was then I realised I was seriously in trouble.
01:07:40So we go up to the train.
01:07:41And I'm trying to work out how I can save my marriage.
01:07:44Three days in.
01:07:46And I said.
01:07:47We're this for Sarah.
01:07:49It is actually.
01:07:51It is actually true.
01:07:52I often say to her.
01:07:54Do you know how many.
01:07:56Fucking things there are.
01:07:58In the whole world.
01:08:00How many people.
01:08:01How many fucking things.
01:08:03And you're the best one out of all of them.
01:08:06That's what this song's about.
01:08:19Well I've never been a praying man.
01:08:24That much is true.
01:08:26But God got help to pay.
01:08:30If he laid a finger on you.
01:08:32Cause I've never seen the heavens.
01:08:36The world of rust and tin.
01:08:38And I don't believe in Adam.
01:08:39And any original sin.
01:08:40But the band has started playing.
01:08:41And we got time to dance.
01:08:42And I could make you happy.
01:08:43To give me half a chance.
01:08:45So hello.
01:08:46Destiny.
01:08:47Welcome.
01:08:48Father.
01:08:49I think you are the best thing.
01:08:50God put upon the world.
01:08:51Well I've never been an easy man.
01:08:53But the band has started playing.
01:08:54And we got time to dance.
01:08:56And I could make you happy.
01:08:57If you give me half a chance.
01:08:58So hello.
01:08:59Destiny.
01:09:00Welcome.
01:09:01Father.
01:09:02I'm thrilled.
01:09:03I think you are the best thing.
01:09:05God put upon my world.
01:09:10Well I've never been an easy man.
01:09:17That much is true.
01:09:19But if an even head is what you need.
01:09:23Well I'll learn it just for you.
01:09:25Cause I've spent some time in Paris.
01:09:29And I've spent some time in Rome.
01:09:32And when you're hanging off my arm.
01:09:36I'm always right back home.
01:09:39So hello.
01:09:41Destiny.
01:09:42Welcome.
01:09:43The new birth.
01:09:45I think you are the best thing.
01:09:48God put upon the earth.
01:09:52Now madness is a serpent.
01:10:07Knits snakes right through my days.
01:10:10With slight of hand it cuts me down.
01:10:14A thousand million ways.
01:10:16But I won't take your haunted heart.
01:10:20I'll take it out to Spain.
01:10:22With hands under a thousand suns.
01:10:26The world flee a pain.
01:10:27So bye bye.
01:10:28Grey skies.
01:10:29Hello sea and sand.
01:10:30I think you are the best thing.
01:10:31God put upon the land.
01:10:33Thank you very much.
01:10:34We're going to allow ourselves to replenish our glasses.
01:10:40We'll be back here in about 15 minutes or so.
01:10:41There's some cakes and chocolates and stuff at the back please help yourselves.
01:10:55If they haven't all been eaten by my son Gus who's at the bar.
01:11:10We'll see you shortly.
01:11:11Cakes.
01:11:12Cakes.
01:11:13Cakes.
01:11:14Cakes.
01:11:15Cakes.
01:11:16I don't know.
01:11:18Absolutely.
01:11:19It's between 90 or 50.
