00:00Securities which are important for the country, food security, water security, energy security,
00:04healthcare security and strategic security.
00:07So CSIR will take utmost care in addressing all the five securities through indigenization
00:15of technologies.
00:17So though Viksit Bharat is the objective, the first step to realize Viksit Bharat is
00:22Atmanarbarata.
00:23So we are now in that process of ensuring indigenizing technologies by means of which
00:30India will become the developed nation in 2047.
00:34So this is the target with which CSIR is going ahead.
00:39CSIR has twin targets.
00:41Whatever we do in lab, that should find its application to Indian industries in the form
00:48of indigenous technology.
00:50Point number one.
00:51Point number two is, it should touch the life of the common man through a societally implementable
00:58technology.
01:00So these are twin objectives of CSIR with which we are working.
01:04But it's a good news.
01:05It is almost, because cabinet approval is to be given.
01:08So that is called CCUS mission.
01:10Carbon Capture, Utilization and Sequestration.
01:13That is the name of the mission.
01:14National CCUS mission will be launched in 2026 after cabinet approval.
01:19Please don't write that, because it is the future.
01:23Because already the DPR every submission is over.
01:26Meaning is, here, why am I telling is, here not only the R&D institutes, but also industries
01:31we have worked with.
01:32Power sector, then cement production industries.
01:36Almost every industry I would say.
01:38So chemical industries.
01:39So every industry's inputs we have taken.
01:41And the DPR has been prepared in such a manner.
01:44There are three ways.
01:45Number one is carbon capture.
01:47How will you capture the carbon?
01:49There again, there are two ways of capturing the carbon.
01:52From the industry exhaust, how will you capture the carbon?
01:55Every industry is, especially if you just talk about the thermal power plants.
01:58They will be having carbon related, nitrogen related, sulfur related.
02:02We call it as cocks-socks-knocks.
02:05So how to capture carbon from the mixture?
02:08This is one.
02:09Second thing we are thinking, how this carbon could be captured from the air directly?
02:13So this is what meaning is, atmosphere is full of carbon now.
02:16So direct air capture.
02:17So this is carbon capture.
02:19Utilization.
02:20Once you capture carbon, what are you going to do with the carbon?
02:22So you have to make the carbon, captured carbon, into a useful chemical.
02:28So this we call it as a utilization or valorization, value addition of the captured carbon.
