00:00Ahead of the Under-17 World Cup final between Austria and Portugal,
00:03I spoke with FIFA's Chief of Global Football Development, Arsene Wenger,
00:08about the tournament and what stood out to him.
00:17Thank you for speaking with us.
00:19Thank you, it's a pleasure.
00:21Well, with Portugal and Austria reaching the final of this year's Under-17 World Cup,
00:25what are your overall impressions of the tournament
00:27and its impact on the future of football?
00:30Well, I would say overall this tournament was really successful.
00:35It was a joy to watch and personally I felt in paradise
00:39was to have the whole world together in such a short compartment
00:45and being capable to watch football all over the world was fantastic.
00:49Were you surprised by Austria reaching the final?
00:53And what do you think contributed to their success?
00:55I would say, first of all, the quality of their players
00:59and secondly, they looked a real team who knows what to do
01:05to deal with every situation in a very intelligent way.
01:09I did see them patient, intelligent, not making stupid fouls,
01:16using the moments of weakness of their opponent in a very efficient way.
01:21And they looked a real team, capable to deal with all kinds of difficulties
01:27that you can face during the game.
01:29What stands out to you about Johannes Moser's performance,
01:31the top goal scorer of the tournament?
01:33What potential do you see in him?
01:35I think he's a killer, you know.
01:38He's a guy who puts his energy, first of all, to help the team.
01:43He works on the flanks and so that demands physically a very top potential.
01:50And on top of that, he's somebody who's not scared to want the ball.
01:55And when he has an opportunity, he goes to the end of it.
01:59He plays with belief, with belief and with a desire to be efficient.
02:03And so he looks to me a very generous type.
02:09And that's why I believe he has a bright future.
02:13He's a top gold star of the tournament.
02:15I think he's eight gold, so that is a remarkable achievement.
02:20So with the pitches close to each other at Aspire's Zone,
02:23what do you think of the vibes over there?
02:25I love it.
02:26I love it because for me it looks like a football festival, you know,
02:30where everybody's here, happy to be here.
02:32Every country thanked us for being here
02:37and for having the chance to watch their team as well, to watch all the teams.
02:42It was as well a moment of exchange of world football.
02:46Thank you very much.
