Kilauea Volcano is showing signs of another massive eruption — and it could happen any moment
According to the USGS, this would be the 37th eruption since December 2024. Lava overflows, massive gas plumes, and even volcanic glass called Pele’s hair are already spreading across the area. With lava fountains reaching up to 1,500 feet, Kilauea’s activity is far from over. Scientists have issued a Code Orange alert, warning of possible danger across roads, parks, and downwind communities.

:bell: Stay tuned as we break down everything you need to know — from volcanic warnings to where debris could fall!

00:00Something explosive is brewing beneath Hawaii's surface again.
00:03Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, is rumbling with signs of another major eruption.
00:09The U.S. Geological Survey says this could be the 37th eruption since December 2024.
00:15Over the weekend, lava began spewing from Kilauea's south vent.
00:19Plumes of gas are rising from both sides of the crater, and the ground is cracking from pressure deep below.
00:25Some past eruptions in this current series have been jaw-dropping.
00:29Lava fountains shot as high as 1,500 feet in the air.
00:32One eruption even covered two-thirds of the Halema-Uma-U crater floor.
00:36Right now, scientists have issued a code orange alert.
00:40That means an eruption is either happening or very close.
00:43And it's not just lava, volcanic gas, hot, glassy fragments, and even Pele's hair, sharp strands of volcanic glass, could travel more than 10 miles from the vents.
00:54Roads like Highway 11 have already seen falling debris.
00:56And the area around the caldera remains closed due to rockfalls and instability.
01:01Kilauea isn't just waking up.
01:03It's warning us.
01:04And the next eruption could be just hours away.
