00:09In an interview with A Prox published Monday, the 56-year-old actress revealed that she

00:13was diagnosed with COVID-19 in the middle of filming HBO Max's The Flight Attendant,

00:18which subsequently had to shut down production due to her diagnosis.

00:21She revealed she had contracted COVID when she flew to Bangkok for filming, explaining

00:25that at the time, COVID-19 was an unknown virus, so it was being described as a new respiratory

00:31tract infection.

00:32She said at the time, no one knew what the virus was and the symptoms other than it attacks

00:36the respiratory system first and then travels to other parts of your body.

00:40And I was like, oh my God, it was terrifying.

00:43She recalled pleading with her manager to not let her die in Bangkok and the doctor informing

00:47both of them that they should be frightened over the virus.

00:50The head of the ICU says, you should be scared, sir.

00:53This is serious.

00:54We're going to have to put her in a separate room.

00:56She also reflected on how much of an ordeal it was to have production shut down.

01:10When production for The Flight Attendant continued, the actress admitted she felt very nervous

01:14to return to set.

01:15However, she felt content after realizing everything was run so efficiently.

01:19Standing in line for the COVID test, having hair and makeup with the goggles and the face

01:23masks, and then the face shield and the blue emergency room gowns, they took every precaution

01:27possible.
