13:36in my opinion here and who am I to judge Gunther
13:40on the way he processes matches but to me
13:44Carmelo Hayes is someone you have to be careful of despite the fact he might not have been a former

13:49oh it delivers the big kick as Gunther came running into that corner
13:53these are two guys who both dominated successive eras in NXT and from very early on in their time
14:00here in WWE were highlighted and predicted to reach the very top of the industry Gunther's done it
14:08I promise you Carmelo Hayes time is coming but is that time now
14:14of course Carmelo Hayes get to win a title on the main roster former NXT champion while Gunther
14:20the longest reigning intercontinental champion and a two-time world heavyweight champion and
14:25looking to advance right here in the kick out by Hayes who gets that left shoulder up
14:30some real frustration in the face of Gunther

15:58can Gunther make just a few mistakes that open the door and can Hayes capitalize
16:05well Gunther really has made a ton of mistakes with his approach to this match in my opinion
16:12he's acting like he has a divine right to win this and progress through to the semifinals it simply
16:19doesn't work that way certainly not against someone as talented as Carmelo Hayes
16:24although that talent is slowly being beaten out of him by the two-time world heavyweight champ who
16:31is now looking for a count out let's not forget that it's fast count Jessica Carr in the ring
16:38keep an eye on that cadence
16:41Becky Lynch has said plenty to say about Jessica Carr this week all unwarranted as Lynch
16:47failed to retain her intercontinental championship and was blaming the veteran referee as Hayes easily beats the count
16:57rather unimpressed Gunther having to go back to the coalface here
17:02clearly making a concerted effort to attack the arm of Carmelo Hayes
17:08look at that leverage that he's applying with all that weight in those long levers that Gunther has
17:15I'll tell you right now Joe in wrestling school that is exactly how they teach you to do it and it's really easy
17:22to get it right in wrestling school this deep into a match when you're beaten up you're exhausted
17:28and the fact that you're against an opponent who is simply not cooperating with you it is incredibly difficult
17:36Gunther just finds a way as technically astute as they come but right on the money
17:42with that grounded dropkick there was Hayes right back to it Hayes mounting offense deep in the match
17:51that changes things quickly doesn't it changes a whole lot of things including the
17:57bone structure of Carmelo Hayes's face who has been completely wiped out with the size 15 boot at the ring

18:14you see the general demeanor of Gunther just changes this match has gone on
18:20acted like it was a stroll in the park in the early goings
18:25but now that pitiless look deep in the eyes of the Austrian has come out to play and that does
18:30not bode well for Carmelo Hayes's health
18:36nor did that collision with our desk
18:47and keep fighting on here and the last time is now tournament against Gunther
19:01it's a couple of times Gunther has tried for a counter against Hayes I sense some frustration on the part of
19:07of Gunther perhaps exhaustion starting to kick in thought he was going to have it easy tonight
19:14first 48 out of nowhere first 48 is this case closed Hayes is thinking about it
19:22oh but not this time wrote out the second one with that extreme power but that amazing movement those
19:29reflexes of Carmelo Hayes saved him there as he was attempted to be dumped to the outside
19:35this time able to get out of the way and deliver a kick in the zone as Gunther was in that compromised
19:39position oh here we go here we go Joe
19:42Carmelo Hayes is thinking about it he's lining it up oh but the chop
19:49just has his body draped awkwardly back onto the apron just sense that Carmelo
19:56Hayes smelled glory there perhaps going up for that nothing but net to finish off Gunther

20:32at this point went for I think a DDT on the apron didn't get it at all but landing hard on the knee
20:40there was Gunther flush on the outside but the count is rising remember that is how Hayes advanced
20:46he won by count out against big Bronson Reed and now could he pull a similar upset right here
20:52whatever gets the job done counts getting high and so is Carmelo up and over onto Gunther
21:00running flush on the back of the neck and head of Gunther who came crashing down face first
21:07onto those thin mats that cover concrete
21:11and now with a major upper hand is Carmelo can he make it stick could this be the signature win
21:19that Carmelo oh no oh no looking for the power bomb out on the floor oh and steady sets him in the timekeeper
21:31oh look at this well the count is still rising here we're up about five or six the battle continues
21:38oh it's the barrier DDT out to the floor we're at seven both men down but Melo is stirring

23:11wow it is always an exhilarating watch when Carmelo Hayes is in that ring but he showed us something

23:38was the moment Carmelo Hayes thought he had it won that springboard DDT on the outside Gunther just about
23:46beating the count then turning the dial up to 11 stacking offense upon offense followed by a stacked up pin and
23:55Gunther who had to put in a real shift tonight gets one step closer to Saturday night's main event and a
24:03date with destiny in John Cena's final appearance
