00:00In the movie Elphaba says that she learns to look at things differently.
00:05I would like to ask you, what did the film teach you?
00:09What actually happens is, it's a mirror.
00:13So when Fiera and Elphaba in her lair, he says that she's beautiful,
00:19and she says not to lie, and he says it's not lying,
00:22and she asks him what it is, and he says it's looking at things in another way.
00:26And the same thing happens when she sees him as the scarecrow,
00:28and he asks, she says you're beautiful, he says that you don't have to lie,
00:35she says it's not lying, it's looking at things in another way.
00:38And what it is, is I think it's not that she learns to look at things in another way.
00:43I think she always has looked at things in another way because of the way she has to exist.
00:47And so for me, that's what I believe.
00:50I believe that we have to look at things in another way.
00:53Sometimes what we see on the surface isn't what is.
00:56is sometimes we look at things from a different angle.
00:59We take a minute and take a breath and open our minds to what actually can be.
01:04Reading a book by its cover is never the best way of learning about what's inside.
01:09So when we take a step back, we can take a look at things and see things differently if we open our eyes
01:15and we allow what really is to come into our view, you know.
01:22I think that's something that I know, but I know for sure now, you know,
01:27that I am really like adamant about, that we don't prejudge things.
01:32We take a second and we take a breath and we look at things with a wider lens.
01:37Thank you very much.
