00:30Hello, lovely to meet you, I'm Jodie, this is very exciting.

00:52Oh my gosh, I'm over the moon.

00:54How excited were you when they said, I want to do this all over again, let's go.

00:58I mean, I did know that about nine years ago that we were going to make another one and

01:02I would call Disney every year and I'd be like, has Christmas come for me yet?

01:06And then it was truly in December of 2023 that they were like, here's your present.

01:10And how did it feel when you finally got to say, right, we're coming back?

01:14Oh my gosh, I fell out.

01:16People don't believe me.

01:17I physically fell out of my chair when they said it's really happening now.

01:20And listen, Jodie is such an icon.

01:22I mean, we've had little kids here dressed as Jodie.

01:25I mean, what does it mean to you that that character has made such an impact?

01:28I mean, I'm so moved.

01:30I look at Jodie as something so outside of myself.

01:33I aspire to be like the character, which I know is weird because she's funny.

01:37But I really do.

01:37I wish I was more like her.

01:38And I think that because she's, I mean, she's really worked on by 700 people at the studio.

01:46My voice is just a tiny, tiny part of what makes her her.

01:49And so I look at it as like the greatest honor that I get to help like carry her characterness.

01:56And when I see kids dressed up, when I see adults dressed up like her, I'm blown away.

02:00And I know when you're doing an animated movie, a lot of the time you're in the boys booth alone.

02:04Always.

02:04Always completely by myself.

02:05So how nice is it when the zoo crew get together?

02:08I mean, it's a delight.

02:09I mean, I never even got to hang out with Kian until we were almost done with the film.

02:14Jason, I hadn't seen until the press tour in like two years.

02:17Like the last of my song was at a basketball game.

02:19And we never even know what the other actor is doing in the scene.

02:22Like we're not listening to playback.

02:24So it's all just kind of a wild experiment.

02:28And I don't know how Disney does it.

02:30But they cut it all together brilliantly.

02:32What do you think it is about this franchise that makes it special?

02:36I don't know.

02:37I mean, I wish I did.

02:38There's something magical about it.

02:39There's some Disney magic.

02:41I just feel like it's people being empowered to be their most creative.

02:46And somehow it's like, I don't know, it's all the ingredients make a perfect cake.

02:55I mean, there's people I haven't seen here in ages.

02:57And then you get to do it with the family as well.

03:43How does it feel to join the zoo crew?

03:45It's incredible.

03:47I really, I mean, I don't know what to say.

03:50I was a huge fan of the first one.

03:52So when I got a call to play Gary the Snake, I was ecstatic.

03:56And just knowing, you know, movies like this that will be enjoyed by kids, millions of kids

04:04all over the world as an actor, that is a dream come true.

04:07And not only that, I mean, these films have such positive messages that kids can take away

04:14from, not only kids, adults as well, too.

04:16So to play a little part in people's childhood and to have an impact in a positive way, you

04:23know, that is incredible.

04:25Do you feel like you were always destined to be in this role?

04:29You know, I didn't think so before, but looking back in my career, how there are snakes in

04:34Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

04:35I played oral bores in Loki, which means a snake in his own tail.

04:412025 is the year of the snake.

04:44And for me to play Gary, I just feel like everything's meant to be.

04:48Somehow the universe is trying to tell me something.

04:51It was destiny and I'm loving the little snake details.

04:53I love the belt, I love the badge.

04:56Listen, you're owning it and I love to see it.

05:29Just as that happened, there was a fox that just came out behind you.

05:32Look.

05:32Oh boy.

05:33Do I look like that on film?

05:37Well, I think you're quite foxy in the best way.

05:39I feel like you were born to play this role.

05:41But listen, how nice is it getting the zoo crew together?

05:45Because obviously when you're doing a voice role, you're normally in a booth on your own.

05:49So when you come to these things, is it nice just to get the gang together?

05:52Well, yeah.

05:53And you get to meet all the other people that are in the movie because we don't do our recordings

05:57together.

05:58You know?

05:59So it's the first time you actually find out who's in the film with you.

06:02And then you get to say hi.

06:04A lot of them are people that I'm a fan of.

06:06And so it's nice to be in the group, you know?

06:08How nice is it when they say, we want to do this all over again?

06:12Oh, I'd love to do five of them.

06:14Yeah, it'd be great.

06:15Or ten.

06:16Whatever they want.

06:17It's a light lift considering how much work goes into this film.

06:23Just the little bit that we do.

06:27I really admire the amount of work that goes into it.

06:30I really love your dulcet tones as Nick.

06:33You lend them to him so well.

06:34How fun is it playing a character like this?

06:37Very fun.

06:38They really encourage me to just kind of make stuff up, too.

06:43But you don't really need to.

06:44Jerry Bush wrote a great script, and he's in the booth there with me,

06:48and also as the director.

06:49And he's kind of explaining to me what each scene is about.

06:54Without him, I'd really be clueless.

06:56And I feel like you're such a legend.

06:58You've done so many different things.

06:59But I mean, being in a movie like this, being in a Disney animation,

07:02that's got to be up there with the highlights, right?

07:04Yeah, it's the big leagues.

07:06So I was very excited and flattered when they called back before the first one,

07:12and surprised, because I really hadn't done any voiceover work before.

07:16So I'm very flattered that they didn't recast me for the second one,

07:20because I kind of wanted another shot at it.

07:22Amazing.
