Jenna Ortega almost had Zendaya's role in the 'Dune' films. The 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' actress said in a recent Buzzfeed interview that she was pretty sure she went out for the role when she was 15 and auditioned for a part in the film. "I think it was Chani, I think it was Zendaya's. But they weren't saying that, everything was very secret." Ortega added that she remembers being "really excited" for the possible opportunity citing Denis Villeneuve as "one of my favorite filmmakers."

00:40Dune Part II released earlier this year.

00:43Elsewhere in the interview, Ortega spoke about her experience

00:46filming Netflix's Wednesday with legendary director Tim Burton.

00:49Tim Burton also directed the upcoming Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,

00:53in which Ortega stars as the daughter of Winona Ryder's Lydia.

00:56Of her relationship with Burton, Ortega said,

00:58on Wednesday, we were just trying to get to know each other a bit.

01:01On Beetlejuice, he seemed a lot more playful,

01:03and I think it actually helped our relationship a lot.

01:06It was just a very joyous, happy shoot.

01:08Ortega is also currently in production on Wednesday, Season 2.

01:11We're shooting episodes 201 and 204 right now,

01:14and there's a lot happening in those episodes,

01:16and they feel very prominent.

01:18It feels like every day we're tackling a big scene.
