The Australian is aiming to take Iraq to the World Cup for the first time since Mexico 86
Transcript
00:00I've been to three World Cups, two as an assistant, one as a head coach, and I don't care what
00:05anyone tells you, there's nothing better than going to a World Cup for a coach, staff member
00:10or a player.
00:11And, you know, as I said, my passion for doing this with Iraq is enormous because, you know,
00:18if it wasn't the fact that they hadn't qualified for 40 years, I probably wouldn't have taken
00:22the job at all.
00:23But it's one that really drove me to want to, you know, want to achieve something special.
00:31And I know, you know, how much it can change a country.
00:34We did it in Australia 2006 where we hadn't qualified for 30 years.
00:39And straight away, as soon as we qualified, it changed the sport, but also the nation of
00:43Australia.
