Kia unveiled the PV5 Chassis Cab at SOLUTRANS 2025 in Lyon, France, Europe’s leading trade fair for commercial vehicle innovations. This is the company’s first fully electric chassis cab model, marking a further step in its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy. It combines electric performance, modular versatility, and adaptability focused on Europe for professional customers.

The PV5 is based on Kia’s PBV-specific E-GMP.S (Electric Global Service Modular Platform). It was designed from the ground up to offer electrification, efficiency, and conversion flexibility. Depending on the configuration, this sub-5m vehicle offers up to 1,005 kg of payload* and up to 8 m³ of cargo space with a high cargo bed. This matches the values of larger D-segment vans while maintaining compact dimensions and a 5.5-meter turning radius for easy maneuverability in urban environments.
