00:00I do believe, let me be very frank, that besides the optimism of thinking that there will be a ceasefire,
00:12there has not been a day of ceasefire since it was proclaimed.
00:16I see that the ceasefire that was proclaimed nearly two months ago, nearly two months ago, a little less than that,
00:25was a way to silence those who were asking to stop the genocide, the occupation and the apartheid,
00:32to stop the flotilla, to tell people taken to the street or others complaining, special rapporteurs, independent experts.
00:39There is peace now. There is peace. There is a ceasefire.
00:42There has not been a ceasefire for the Palestinians, the people to whom a ceasefire had to be meaningful for, right?
00:51So ceasefire has become a word to make people in this part of the world or in this institution and others similar content
00:59that they can continue being indifferent to the suffering of the people.
01:03And I also see that, let's be honest, the interests behind this are US and Israeli interests.
01:09So this is why I asked the European Union, what do we have to gain from this?
01:13And I'm afraid that, like the Trump plan, this is going to further distract and further lower the bar of what is politically acceptable
01:30and to work as a political pressure valve to suspend discussions.
