00:07According to DOLE, Director Alvin Curado of Bureau of Working Conditions, private sector employees must receive their 13th month pay on or before December 24,
00:17explaining that an employee is entitled to this benefit if they have worked for the company for at least one month within the year.
00:24However, the official clarified that government workers are not included in this provision as they have a separate scheme,
00:31and neither are those working on personal service of another and purely on commission basis.
00:36Meanwhile, workers who receive a combination of wage and commission are entitled to the 13th month pay for the wage portion.
