00:07Now it's time for our Explosion Featured Match of the Week.

00:10We saw him at an incredible pay-per-view match in which he faced AJ Styles.

00:15He comes to us from New Japan. His name is Tanahashi.

00:17He's up against Roderick Strong.

00:24The following contest is scheduled for one fall, about to make his way to the ring.

00:32And hello once again, everyone, from ringside at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

00:38It's by today, joined by Don West as the Messiah of the Backbreaker.

00:43Roderick Strong enters the ring.

00:45DW, we've got a lot to get caught up on here in this Explosion exclusive match-up.

00:49We're going to talk about Final Resolution, how great it was, and Against All Odds is on deck.

00:55Introducing his opponent from Japan, representing New Japan Pro Wrestling, this is Tanahashi!

01:07He returns to the six-sided TNA ring after an impressive match-up at Final Resolution on pay-per-view.

01:17You see him wearing the championship belt of New Japan Pro Wrestling's U-30 division.

01:25U is an under, the under-30 division, it's an open weight class.

01:29Heavyweights, light heavyweights, junior heavyweights, as they're often known in Japan.

01:35Similar to the X-Division style that we have here in TNA.

01:38What Tanahashi quite is showing at Final Resolution against AJ Styles.

01:44And TNA management puts him right back into the ring against no soft touch in Roderick Strong.

01:50You know, you mentioned it about his debut at Final Resolution against AJ Styles.

01:54And what I was most impressed about from Hiroshi Tanahashi was how much offense he has,

02:00how many different rules, how many different ways he can beat you.

02:03And then the class that he showed in that crazy ending of that match when the Prince of Punk got involved,

02:10but he showed the class and the respect with the phenomenal AJ Styles that just makes you really appreciate a guy like Tanahashi that much more.

02:17Hiroshi Tanahashi is 29 years of age.

02:20He's been competing in professional wrestling for six years as Roderick Strong puts the shoulder directly into his chest.

02:26You know, New Japan Pro Wrestling, they realize they have something in this young man.

02:30They see the charisma, they see the look, and they see the in-ring ability, the most important part.

02:35Don, I think back many years ago, a wrestler named The Great Muda, representing New Japan Pro Wrestling at the time.

02:42He was sent to the United States, he worked for WCW, World Championship Wrestling.

02:46He made his name in the U.S., he made his name internationally, returned to Japan,

02:52became one of the biggest scars in Japanese wrestling, check this double underhook count.

02:56Butterfly over by Strong, lateral press, barely a two count, if that.

03:00Tanahashi recently spending well over a month in the country of Mexico.

03:05And now competing here in the United States with TNA.

03:10You know big things are ahead for Hiroshi Tanahashi as Roderick Strong.

03:14Going to apply the reverse chin lock.

03:16Thought he was going to take him up full into the air with the upside down with the inverted surfboard,

03:21but instead going to rely on the chin lock.

03:23Look how he just pulls back on that chin right there, and then just pushes him away.

03:27He's like, he's had enough of it at this point.

03:30I'll tell you something though, we saw Tanahashi, and we know what he can do,

03:33and you mentioned that he's the champion over there in the under 38 classification,

03:39and this guy can beat you so many ways.

03:43He's got so many different variations.

03:45I mean, he can go ex-division on you, he can go heavyweight on you.

03:49The guy's incredible.

03:50Nice shot.

03:51And this guy, he goes airborne.

03:53Flying forearm shot.

03:55Drops Strong right in his tracks.

03:56He's going to go right back to the offensive with a scoop and a mid-ring slam.

03:59And jumps directly into the air.

04:02Wow!

04:03Drops down the elbow first.

04:04Then into the somersault.

04:05Splash in the pin.

04:06But Strong powers out at two.

04:08Yes, final resolution was great.

04:10But against all odds, Don shaping up to be yet another great Sunday pay-per-view event.

06:37In a matter of three seconds,

06:39Roderick Strong could become a sought after property over in the Orient as well

06:43if he's able to put Tanahashi away.

06:46Tanahashi though is able to counter that

06:48and he's now in control.

06:51Roderick Strong has been one of the three.

07:35because it was over.
