00:04So what have we got? We've got compulsory voting.
00:07Preferential voting.
00:08The secret ballot.
00:09The democracy sausage.
00:11The Australian Electoral Commission.

00:20The Prime Minister is expected to call an election.
00:23It's a funny sort of relationship between pressmen and politicians.
00:25He could just go down to the Prime Minister's office and say,
00:28I've got this story that's going to kill you.
00:30What do you say about it?

00:43And beats Amy Thiefen dead.
00:46Influencers were invited to yesterday's media lock-up.
00:48It feels quite elitist to be so in shock and horrified that influencers would be allowed anywhere near Parliament House.
00:57There's always been disruptors.
00:59And now there's disruptors to the disruptors.
01:01It seems like that's the end of the game.
01:03In Denmark, we have a lot of parties.
01:05We just like parties.
01:06There's been a remarkable shift away from the major parties and towards independents and minor parties.
01:12There was some talk about, well, do we do a four-candidate preferred or a five-candidate preferred?
01:16This could be a big win for Labor.
01:18Voters are seeing more and more the power in their vote.
01:21Our democratic system has excluded Aboriginal people for so long.
01:25Modern day Australia looks very different to what it did 30 years ago.
