01:10This is actually the 23rd graduation, that means since the NIT signature,

01:16earlier it was the Regional Engineering College, since it became the NIT signature,

01:31And in this communication, we award degrees to B.Tech students, M.Tech and M.Sc students and M.B.S students,

01:39and also P.S.E students.

01:41So, this year 841 B.Tech students received B.Tech degrees,

01:50and 134 M.Tech degrees, and 60 M.Sc degrees, and M.B.A. 48, and total 127 KG degrees.

02:01And this 127 KG degrees number is the highest ever in NIT signature.

02:07Last year it was 119 KG degrees, and this year it became 117 KG degrees.

02:12And in addition to that, because of their best performances, actually we also give various awards,

02:21two derivatives of three gold medals are given, the best UG students.

02:28And in fact, this year there was a tie, both of the two persons did the same, achieve same CGPA,

02:38because of that we have given to both of them, and won the best PLT.

02:44There are many other awards also.

02:46And out of these numbers, you know, these are awards, you are given,

02:50and, but physically taken degrees around 600 degrees.

02:54In various B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.B.A. or B.S.B. all together, it is around 600 degrees.

03:01Physically presented, I was present, and received that degree.

03:07I was present, Professor and Dr. Sutamita Majundar, the Ministry of State,

03:12the Ministry of Education.

03:15Though, because of his, some, of his sudden, some busy schedule,

03:21he could not reach, but we have sent messages.

03:25And another guest was there, our Dr. B.K. Das, of BRTO.

03:32And beside me, we have Professor Ramacharya.

03:37He was former AICP chairman, also throughout Professor of IIT Kharagpur,

03:43and he was also director of IIT Kharagpur.

03:46So, this is our today's event completed, sir.

03:50So far, technological, whatever knowledge we have received so far,

03:57now, we give them through curriculum and all.

04:01And now, industry is requiring that industry ready.

04:05So, because of that, we are also doing a lot of modifications in our curriculum.

04:09And as a result, they are also becoming useful directly.

04:12And the result is that our, out of, one of our B.Tech students,

04:17around 900 plus students, we have 80 percent students from campus,

04:22we have got a job.

04:24And some of them, of course, did not sit in our placement,

04:27mainly because they want a government job at all.

04:29Like UPSC, then CINCLA, so, IMPED OIT, Irrigation.

04:34So, many students did not sit.

04:36But out of whatever number, 80 percent students got job in placement.

04:41And NIT, since actually, we have now 32 NITs.

04:46We are in the 10th position.

04:48Till last year, we were 8.

04:50This year, a little bit of change moved here.

04:53But I am sure we will be again back.

04:56In fact, we will do better than the next NIT.

04:59Initiative and montage among NEP implementation was changed.

05:04Then your multiple entry, multiple exit, means actually there are,

05:09then your credit transfer.

05:13So, as we are now on to this, join a particular institute.

05:18They have to complete the entire curriculum there.

05:22But now, the ministry through NEP, given some provision,

05:27there are now that though, any number of sources are available,

05:29like some of MIT, some courses available,

05:31or even India also, through NEP, there are courses available.

05:36If students go through that course, register,

05:40appear in exam, get some degree,

05:42that degree can be also transferred to our,

05:45our institute curriculum, equivalent.

05:49So, that flexibility we have added.

05:52In concept, students can go for one semester,

05:57almost like they will join in job,

06:00and at the same time they will do internship,

06:03and finally they will be offered to job also.

06:06So, these are the different mechanisms.

06:08There are N number of things we are doing.

06:10These are a few important things.
