03:39We have two bins that sit on the top of the boat

03:40Our night soil bins as we call them

03:43And then one fills up, we cap it off

03:45And start to fill the other up

03:47And by the time the other one is full

03:48We are, which is a constant cruiser

03:51Which is most of the boats on the canal are constant cruisers

03:53Means you have to be in a new location every two weeks

03:56Give or take

03:56I mean most everyone is on the canals like that

03:59So it's sort of musical boats always

04:01So obviously right now the canals are getting more and more full

04:04So when you have a really great spot

04:05You're always loathe to leave

04:08Because someone is going to

04:10Take that spot within

04:11The day

04:12Because there's so many boats on the canal

04:14Very much affects me and most of the boaters

04:17I mean it's a transient lifestyle at times

04:20As a boater

04:22And obviously when the

04:25You know we're all aware

04:26The higher the prices go

04:28The less and less people will be able to live on the canals

04:30And that is

04:32That's a bummer for us

04:35Because we live on the canals

04:35Because you know we're

04:36You know we're artists

04:38Or we're poor

04:39And we need a place to live

04:41And of course when the rates go up

04:43A lot of people will be priced off of the canals

04:47And that sucks

04:49But the canals are so full

04:51Right now

04:52You know Canal and River Trust

04:55Is

04:55It's a real spiraling problem

04:58They haven't figured it out

04:59But I don't have an easy answer for them

05:02So

05:02No I don't like paying more license fees

05:04If that's your answer yeah

05:05The tension between boaters and Canal and River Trust

05:08There's a large chunk of boaters who

05:10Don't adhere to the rules

05:13That Canal and River Trust have set out

05:15Which

05:17Just makes

05:19Any discussions that we

05:21Or arguments we want to bring to the table

05:23Much harder to have with CRT

05:25Because plenty of boaters are

05:27Anti-CRT

05:30In a lot of ways

05:31And the more CRT

05:34Then starts to slap rules

05:35And raise rates

05:36The more angry boaters are going to get

05:37And it just feels like a problem

05:39It's just going to get

06:23Well, I mean, I guess the advantage is that it is a lot cheaper.

06:28It's a bit of a different lifestyle.

06:30It's nice to be moving around to see different areas of London.

06:34The disadvantage is you have a lot less space and you need to organize a lot.

06:39Like you have to organize your laundry, toilet, water, gas.

06:46So you need to be a lot more organized.

06:49We saw it that it's possible in London.

06:52We've moved here a year and a half ago and lived in a flat and thought maybe we'll just give it a go and see how it is to live on a boat.

07:01Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, yeah, it's really nice. It's very interesting. Yeah, it's pretty good.

07:07Definitely the house prices in London. Yeah, it's very expensive here.

07:13So there was one major motivation, but also just to experience a different lifestyle.

07:19Yeah, yeah, everyone is super friendly. It's like a nice community.

07:23Again, we've only just started living on a boat, so I can't tell if we'll keep liking it, but everyone is super friendly.

07:33And yeah, yeah, it's good. It's good. We started from Heathrow and now we made a big jump here because there isn't really much between really Westbourne Park or Little Venice or Paddington.

07:45And yeah, so it's a big jump in the areas. Yeah, I love this space like this. This spot is great. Angel, I really like, but I also really like the Notting Hill area.

07:57It's just, it's just a great way of seeing different parts of London.
