01:55coming and competing from 30 different states in India.

02:04And to see so many people getting into a new sport,

02:08and one day this sport might become an important sport at the Olympics.

02:11So Indians can really represent India in the Olympics

02:15and win us some Olympic medals one day.

02:17So as a sports person, I feel very proud that so many people are coming to support the game

02:21and also to play themselves.

02:23I tried it myself. It's a very fun game.

02:25And for all age groups, it's a very entertaining, fast-paced game.

02:34Hi, I'm here in Bangalore at the sports school for the Pickleball Nationals.

02:41We conducted under the aegis of Indian Pickleball Association

02:45and Karnataka Pickleball Association.

02:48This is a historic event for Pickleball.

02:51It's the first official nationals after IPA became the National Sports Federation

02:56for Pickleball in India under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

03:01This is also the biggest nationals so far.

03:04We've got more than 900 players from 28 states of India.

03:08We've got more than 1,500 entries, more than 20 state teams,

03:12more than 28 state representatives all converge here in Bangalore.

03:17I'd like to congratulate Karnataka Association for the great job they've done.

03:21And I'd like to thank all the sponsors, especially our main sponsors, Sabali Millets.

03:31Yes, this is the first nationals being conducted in South India.
