00:01Once a hare and a tortoise got into an argument about their speeds.

00:11The hare challenged the tortoise that whatever may happen,

00:15but the fast hare would always win the race.

00:20But the tortoise did not agree.

00:22So to prove that the hare was faster than the slow-moving tortoise,

00:30a race was held.

00:31On the appointed day,

00:33the animals of the forest gathered at the starting and finish points of the race.

00:39The lion was to be the judge.

00:43Soon the giraffe blew the whistle and the race began.

00:47The fast-hopping hare ran off at great speed.

00:53The slow tortoise had barely taken a step by then.

00:58Soon the hare got near a tree from where he could see the finishing line.

01:05He was tired after the run,

01:08so he thought,

01:09Home!

01:10As soon as I see him here,

01:13I'll just run and reach the finishing line.

01:17With these thoughts,

01:19the hare fell asleep.

01:21The slow tortoise kept crawling,

01:24never waiting to rest.

01:41Walking slowly and continuously,

01:44he soon reached the finishing line.

01:48The amazed forest animals clapped and shouted in joy.

01:53The hare heard the noise and woke up.

01:57He was shocked to see the tortoise at the finishing line.

02:02The lion was crowning him as the winner.

02:05Moral,

02:06slow and steady,

02:09wins the race.
