00:00I'm sure that Morgan McSweeney, Keir Starmer and everyone else is absolutely delighted with the news today.
00:05The NHS waiting lists are falling.
00:08One of the great things about being here in the North West today is I can leave all the trivial Westminster bubble stuff behind
00:14and instead focus on what we are doing, which is the change the public voted for.
00:19They told us they wanted their NHS back on its feet and fit for the future.
00:23That's what we're delivering.
00:24Waiting lists down by almost a quarter of a million since I became Health Secretary.
00:28Ambulance is arriving around 10 minutes faster to heart attack and stroke victims than this time last year.
00:34And where I promised to recruit a thousand more GPs in my first year as Health Secretary,
00:39I've recruited two and a half thousand and patient satisfaction with general practice is rising.
00:44Now, I'd be the first to say a lot done, a lot more to do, but the NHS is on the road to recovery
00:50and that's the only job I'm interested in.
