00:00Welcome to our video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog on the topic of Full Hybrid Cars and the most interesting new products for 2025.
00:11Full Hybrid Cars are no longer exclusively found at Toyota.
00:15They are increasingly conquering the product ranges of numerous manufacturers who want to appeal to customers seeking low fuel consumption,
00:23the advantages of electrification, and convenience without having to worry about recharging the battery.
00:30Thanks to Toyota, which was the first to popularize Full Hybrid technology, in which you drive in electric mode for more than half the time,
00:45so-called HEVs achieved a share of around 12% of European registrations in 2024, compared to less than 5% in 2020.
00:53However, the widespread presence of full hybrids is not supported by an equally broad range of new products,
01:01which is why several redesigned models and a few completely new vehicles have been introduced in recent months.
01:06The Dacia Bixer, the Romanian brand's largest SUV to date, is one of the most eagerly anticipated new cars of the year,
01:20further developing the concept of a practical and affordable vehicle.
01:24The new Hybrid 155 combines a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with an electric motor for the first time,
01:33producing a total output of 156 horsepower.
01:36The Dacia Bixer Full Hybrid is equipped with front-wheel drive and an automatic transmission.
01:41It achieves a homologate WLTP fuel consumption of 4.6 liters per 100 kilometers and boasts an impressive length of 4.5 meters.
01:50In Germany, the base price of the full hybrid model is around €29,000, and first deliveries are scheduled for May 2025.
02:03The Honda HR-V was also recently updated with a modified front-end, new headlights, revised lights, fresh equipment, new colors, and modified trim,
02:14while the full hybrid drivetrain remains unchanged.
02:22The EHEV Hybrid system combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors, an automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive,
02:32resulting in a combined power output of 131 horsepower and a combined fuel consumption of 5.4L, 100 kilometers.
02:40The base price in Germany is under €35,000.
02:47Furthermore, the Honda Civic is expected to receive a mid-cycle facelift that will modernize its styling and equipment,
02:54while the existing 2.0-liter Atkinson Full Hybrid engine, combined with front-wheel drive and an automatic transmission, will remain untouched.
03:03It is still unclear whether power will remain at 184 horsepower or increase to 203 horsepower in the U.S.
03:13The JQ-5 is planned for some European markets in mid-2025.
03:18It is a Chinese compact SUV with a length of 4.5 meters and is designed as the smaller sister of the JQ-7.
03:30After the market launch, a full hybrid version with an output of 147 horsepower and an electrified unit of the 1.64-cylinder is expected to be added to the model range,
03:41with the as-yet-unofficial base price starting at around €30,000.
03:50The facelifted Kia Sportage, which has already been presented in South Korea and the USA,
03:55will also debut in Europe at the end of the year and will feature extensive race styling that will change the front end,
04:02the Starmap light signature, the interior screens and parts of the cockpit.
04:06Although official details are still pending, it is assumed that the 1.6 TGDI H-IV engine will be confirmed as a full hybrid,
04:18now developing 215 horsepower and coupled with front- or all-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
04:24In the premium class, the Lexus ES, a Japanese sedan that is not sold in great numbers in Europe,
04:35is hoping for a facelift by the end of 2025, which will focus on the front end, the headlights, and a 14-inch infotainment screen.
04:43The redesigned Lexus ES, which was already seen in China, is expected to retain its full hybrid powertrain,
04:54featuring an electrified 2.5-liter gasoline four-cylinder engine producing 218 horsepower,
05:00while front-wheel drive and an automatic transmission remain standard.
05:04The new Renault Clio, expected in summer 2025, is already causing a stir, with CEO Luca Deo hinting at a striking design.
05:20The French subcompact car is focusing on electrified powertrains, both mild and full hybrids,
05:27with the new 1.8-liter hybrid engine producing around 160 horsepower making its debut in the Clio.
05:34Renault is also planning further full hybrid innovations, starting with a recently unveiled ES,
05:40which will change its design in terms of the front end, headlights, sound insulation, and the availability of a solar-bay glass sunroof.
05:50The ES will use the familiar 102-turbo full hybrid engine with 200 horsepower,
05:56combined with an automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
05:59Planned, while the base price is expected to differ only slightly from the outgoing model.
06:09Another facelift from Renault for 2025 concerns the Austral,
06:13which is expected before the summer and will receive several styling and equipment updates similar to those of the larger ESPAS and the Symbiote.
06:20Although it will also use the 102-etc. full hybrid engine with 200 horsepower, front-wheel drive and automatic transmission.
06:32Toyota will present two new models in 2025, both of course as full hybrids.
06:38The new Toyota RAV-FIO, the sixth generation of one of the world's best-selling SUVs,
06:46is expected between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026.
06:51So far, only test vehicle photos and an image from Chinese social media exist.
06:56However, it can be safely assumed that the 2.5-liter full hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines will be confirmed for Europe,
07:07possibly with a slight increase in power.
07:12Another new model planned for 2025-2026 is a race-styled Toyota Corolla Cross.
07:19So far, it's only known that it shares similarities with the version recently shown in Thailand.
07:29Several full hybrid variants with 1.8 or 2.0-liter engines and front- or all-wheel drive will be available.
07:40The Toyota Cross, another compact SUV from the Japanese brand,
07:45will be offered in a slightly revised version from May 2025.
07:49This version will feature updates to the interior, body panels, and lightweight wheels,
07:55while the 1.5-liter full hybrid engines will remain in the 115 and 130 horsepower versions,
08:01with front- or all-wheel drive.
08:07Likewise, the Toyota Corolla Touring Sports will see minor changes in color, trim, and accessories,
08:13with 1.8 and 2.0-liter full hybrid engines confirmed.
08:20The new Volkswagen T-Roc, which has been the subject of much discussion lately since the German manufacturer
08:26confirmed the arrival of the second generation for 2025,
08:30will also feature a previously unknown full hybrid.
08:33Its debut is scheduled for the second half of the year,
08:39and its styling will borrow some cues from the Tiguan,
08:42as suggested by renderings and leaked images.
08:47The full hybrid engine, presumably a modified version of the well-known 105 TSI,
08:52is not expected until 2026, following a mild hybrid.
08:56Finally, the Chinese Great War Motor Group, also known as JWM,
09:04plans to introduce the previously unknown full hybrid powertrain in 2025
09:09for a model already sold as the WI-3 in some markets.
09:16The WI-3 hybrid could be a plug-in hybrid with a 243-horsepower 1.5-liter electric motor,
09:23which is already used in the Haval H6 from the same group.
