00:00Are you okay? Yep, yep, I'm fine.
00:04Hi, Real Short fans. My name is Rebecca Stoughton.
00:06I play Cindy in The Virgin and the Billionaire,
00:08and today I'm going to be answering some of your questions.
00:14So there is a scene where I'm supposed to walk into a bedroom
00:17and Jeannie Carr, who plays Janet, is supposed to tackle me from behind
00:21and then wrestle me onto a bed, and we're supposed to fight,
00:24so I'm trying to get away.
00:25And I remember Casey, the director, asked us,
00:27like, do you guys want a rehearsal for this scene?
00:30And this is my second time working with Jeannie.
00:31She's played my evil stepmom before.
00:33We've done tons of stunts. I love her so much.
00:35She's hilarious.
00:37We kind of looked at each other, and we're like,
00:38nah, I think we're good.
00:39Like, we got it. We'll figure it out at this point.
00:41We, you know, we're good.
00:43We go to do this scene, and she hits me so hard
00:48and tackles me onto this bed that we were both kind of, like,
00:52stunned at how hard that it was.
00:54And so we go flying onto this bed,
00:57and pretty much just, like, pancake splat and do not move.
01:00To where, like, a solid three or four seconds go by,
01:02and the directors are like,
01:05what? Are you guys okay?
01:07Once we, like, snapped out of that, like, oh my god,
01:11we could not stop laughing.
01:13And I am sure there's BTS footage out there somewhere,
01:15and I would love to see it if you find it.
01:18Between that scene and another scene,
01:19that Lauren Bonham, who played Nikki,
01:21had me absolutely crying.
01:23Actually, all of her scenes.
01:24And she got Aaron, too.
01:25Oh my god.
01:26Um, she, her comedic timing is,
01:28shucks kiss.
01:30But one particular scene she got me
01:32was when she came into the room,
01:34and she was supposed to beg Charles Kane to take her back.
01:36I'm a traitor.
01:37She chose to just take it all the way to a fall
01:40that was super dramatic,
01:42and she did it differently every single time,
01:44and it was, it was so good.
01:46Lauren, he got me on that.
01:48And I know she got Aaron on another scene.
01:50I think it was when she was, like,
01:52leaning in to kiss him,
01:53and she fell, and it was,
01:55ugh, she's so good.
01:59I had a lot of fun working with Aaron.
02:02I, uh, I love my Iowa boys.
02:05He is a true and blue Midwest,
02:07super nice, super easy to go along with,
02:09really funny.
02:10I think because he's so positive
02:12and loves the craft so much,
02:15it made it easy for the director to be like,
02:16hey, let's try something new.
02:17Let's play with this scene.
02:18Let's do it this way.
02:20And so that led to us doing some scenes
02:22more times than I'm used to,
02:24which was great.
02:25It was so much fun to explore that.
02:27And, um, there was one scene
02:28that I did feel bad
02:29because we kept wanting to play
02:31with this one particular scene
02:32where he would pick me up
02:33and carry me out at the end,
02:35and we must have been on, like,
02:37ten takes or something,
02:38and I just remember looking over him
02:40and being, like, a lot of lifting and airing.
02:42And he was not out of breath at all.
02:45Totally fine.
02:46Just not even a bead of sweat broke.
02:48He was just like, yeah, huh?
02:49Yeah, I'm fine.
02:50And I just remember thinking,
02:52you must be really freaking in shape.
02:54So I gotta give him his kudos for that.
03:01I love this question.
03:02My favorite scene to watch Cindy go through
03:05was when she was in the kitchen with Charles
03:07and he was teaching her
03:08how to stick up for herself
03:09and basically telling her
03:10she always had it in her.
03:11She just needs to learn to let it out.
03:13And then moving into
03:16when she's cleaning up
03:17and she confronts Janet for the first time
03:19and sticks up for herself.
03:20I absolutely loved it.
03:21I feel like that was a huge turning point for her.
03:24And it was just,
03:24it was so much fun to see someone
03:26who's been through so much stuff
03:27come out of it
03:28and be stronger because of it.
03:30Before I go,
03:31I just want to say thank you so much
03:33to everyone who watched
03:34The Virgin and the Billionaire
03:35and to everyone who sent me a DM
03:36or left me a comment.
