00:00Well Warwick, what brings you to Cornwall today?
00:02I'm here to open the new Beacon Vet Care Practice in the park.
00:06And obviously you've got links with it, your sister is down this neck of the woods.
00:10I've found her down this way and she's got dogs and I've got a dog as well.
00:16So you always need a vet if you've got a pet.
00:18What have you made of the new practice here? It's a state of the art by the looks of it.
00:22Oh, it's beautiful. What surprised me is that you can come here with your animal and get the results instantly.
00:28They're not sending bloods away. They're not doing x-rays and sending them off.
00:33You know, if you've got something you're worried about with your pet, you'll get the results and the peace of mind instantly.
00:38And obviously they've done a lot of work around inclusivity and accessibility, which is what a lot of companies aren't doing these days.
00:46No, it's super accessible. If you're in a wheelchair, you can get right through the practice, the consulting rooms, the waiting area.
00:54And yeah, it's very accessible. So there's nothing to put you off coming with your pet to get it treated.
01:00Talk to me about your memories of Cornwall. You say family are down here. You come here a bit?
01:05Well, I used to come here with my parents in their caravan from a very young age.
01:10I remember lots of nice summer trips down here, going to the beach and the caravan. Absolutely amazing.
01:16And Cornwall has certainly not disappointed that I've come back.
01:19And obviously you've been educating some of my colleagues in the media about pasties and scones and the correct way of doing that.
01:25But Cornwall has riches throughout the county, not just food, but the landscape, the lifestyle.
01:32It's very culinary down here. I was surprised. Lots of nice places to eat, food everywhere. I mean, it's a delight.
01:39And also you're never further than about 20 minutes from the beach. And I love to see it.
01:45There's nothing more refreshing and recharging than sitting looking at the ocean.
01:49And as an actor, you would know it's got a landscape to die for in terms of filming and TV programmes films all the time.
01:57It looks amazing. I mean, I'm sounding like an old person now, but I'm sort of binge watching Doc Martin at the minute and enjoying seeing all the places I recognise in that series.
02:06You've got Wickett along with you today? I have today. Yeah, there he is with his poorly leg.
02:10But the vets here have sorted him out and it's good to say he walks again. Think about it.
