00:00Previously on Tiffany Haddish Goes Off, the last two years have been probably the most difficult years of my adult life.
00:16So I'm gathering up my real friends. We should take a trip all together.
00:20Spell it out, girl. Where we going?
00:22We're going to Africa.
00:27Welcome to the motherland.
00:29We're here.
00:30I'll be gone.
00:31You're swimming with sharks.
00:33Girl.
00:35Did it just show my forehead? It just shitted on me.
00:43My girl, Shimona, she acts like she's 10 years older than her sister, Sparkle, but they only one year apart.
00:50But you can swear, Shimona thinks she gave birth to Sparkle sometimes.
00:55Hi, Tiffany.
00:56Hi.
00:56My name is Primo.
00:57Primo is cute.
00:59I need to be your African affair.
01:01I'm looking over at Primo and looking over at Tiff. I'm like, what's up? What's up? What's about to happen tonight?
01:11What's up? What's up? I'm stepping off!
01:13I need to be their mom.
01:13I wanna be your dentist. I like you're on the lead.
01:16I'm looking over at the sunset that I said to you now.
01:17Bye-bye.
01:18What's up?
01:18Bye-bye.
01:19Bye-bye.
01:19Bye-bye.
01:20Bye-bye.
01:20Bye-bye.
01:22Bye-bye.
01:22Bye.
01:23Bye-bye.
01:29This is the view for my room in Cape Town, Saudi.
01:30This is the view from my room in Cape Town, South Africa.
01:41Can't put it into words.
01:44Just being here, it's just really, really, really got me just thanking God.
01:50I am truly blessed to have the friendships that I have.
01:56Girl, hey, look for me.
02:00She ready, she ready.
02:02I'm so good.
02:05I don't have a job now today.
02:08So look, what are we doing?
02:09So we are going to get traditional African massage.
02:14Whoo!
02:16Y'all ladies ready?
02:18We ready.
02:19Whoo!
02:21I'm already here.
02:25So we're going to have, it's called Seventh-day Heaven African Massage.
02:36We work with bamboo sticks.
02:39When we do the massage, it reminds us of whenever we've grown up, when you fight with a little
02:44one or either sister, then you go crying to a grandmother under the bamboo tree.
02:49She will start telling you stories while rubbing your back, massaging your hand.
02:55So that's what we hear for you ladies today.
02:57Oh.
02:58Well, let me get to crying.
02:59Oh!
03:02Oh, these bills!
03:05Oh, this one is going to work!
03:07He didn't answer my phone call!
03:09Oh!
03:11Like that? Like that?
03:12Yeah.
03:13You talk to Primo, Tiffany?
03:21Yeah, Primo.
03:22Last message I got from Primo's day, he left his jacket in the club.
03:26Dating has always been difficult for me. Now that I'm famous, it's easier to get a date. But
03:33it's like, what's the intention? What does this guy really want? Primo seems super nice. Then,
03:39once he kept trying to take pictures, I was like, ah, you one of these dudes? You want to be seen with me?
03:45They was talking about him online, saying that I followed him on Instagram.
03:49Did you? Oh, wow.
03:50Yeah, I did follow him on Instagram.
03:52You got them talking about we in a relationship, and I just met your ass two days ago.
03:57Besides, he was following me first.
04:00Oh, my God. It's the best massage ever. I can feel the bamboo.
04:03They say it's bamboo, but I feel like it's a rolling pin.
04:06I feel like I'm some bread getting rolled out.
04:10Roll that dough.
04:19Roll that dough, roll that dough, roll that dough.
04:23Ooh, chef out there grilling. You see the fire? Hi, chef.
04:27Hey, ladies. So the grill is going. I prepared our salads, and then I have
04:33two potato bowls here, because remember our discussion we had?
04:37Yeah. How do you make your potato salad?
04:39Because I bet you my potato salad better than your potato salad.
04:43If you want, I'll make it. That sounds amazing.
04:46So I was thinking that we have a cook-off.
04:49You're a chef?
04:50Yeah.
04:50Okay, all right.
04:51And then you guys can be the judges.
04:53Oh, you accepted my challenge.
04:56But let's do this, baby.
04:57Bell peppers.
04:58Bell peppers.
04:59We ain't got no large seasoning sauce.
05:01Already I'm at a disadvantage.
05:04Let me see what you got up in here.
05:05You don't need none of these bell peppers, do you?
05:07That's all for you.
05:08All for you.
05:11All right.
05:12So me, I'm simple.
05:13I just do the mayo.
05:16I do onions.
05:17I do coriander.
05:18Instead of having all those peppers and onions.
05:21He's talking mad.
05:24I hear it.
05:26But when he put it in his mouth.
05:27Ooh.
05:29American girl.
05:32My potato salad is the best potato salad on the planet.
05:37Now, my grandma showed me how to make it, but then I have put my own twist on her recipe,
05:41because her recipe, it was giving great depression.
05:45It was missing a few key ingredients, which I added in.
05:49I spent a majority of my childhood in foster care.
05:52By the time I was 15, my grandma got custody of us, and life was much better.
05:57My grandma was like, my rock.
05:59And whenever I eat that potato salad, it brings me so much joy,
06:04because my grandma taught me how to make it.
06:07All right, pictures up.
06:08Quiet on the set.
06:11All the way from the hills of Hawthorne, now residing in the lovely state of Arizona,
06:17please give it up for our number one judge, Sparkle Clark.
06:22And she loves making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and scrambled eggs for her son,
06:28Shimona Long.
06:30Our third judge hails all the way from South Central Los Angeles.
06:34She can't stand her mother's cooking, so you know she's going to keep it 100.
06:38Please give it up for Selena Marte.
06:46Which one are we going to taste first?
06:47Are we going to start?
06:48We can start with Tiff's that she handed to us first.
06:51We got to be honest, right?
06:53It's good.
06:57It's real good.
06:57Mm-hmm.
06:59We're moving on to Chef's.
07:00Mm-hmm.
07:02It is good.
07:03Mm-hmm.
07:04I like it.
07:05Mm-hmm.
07:06Okay, so we're going to go discuss.
07:09With Tiffany's, it was really good.
07:11This one was better than the one she make at home.
07:13Oh, interesting.
07:14So my vote is for Tiffany.
07:17My vote is for Chef.
07:20I think they're both delicious.
07:22It was like neck to neck.
07:24If I had to eat the potato salad with our dinner tonight, it would be Chef's.
07:30So I'm out-loaded.
07:34Okay, okay.
07:35Okay.
07:37Yeah.
07:38Woo!
07:39We came to a decision.
07:41Stop.
07:42The winner of the potato salad competition.
07:45Right.
07:46It's...
07:49Tiff's!
07:51What had happened was, we walked in there, and y'all saw y'all friend's face.
08:05Oh, okay, you were like that.
08:08Sorry, Tiff.
08:10Yeah, we love you.
08:11They apologize.
08:13They don't eat.
08:15Got some of your shit.
08:17I won.
08:21I can smell that wood chip burning.
08:35Yeah.
08:36Oh, guess who called?
08:38Who?
08:39Who?
08:40Miss Johnson.
08:41He says his love.
08:42He's like, I wish I could be there with you guys.
08:44Oh, my God.
08:44That would be cool.
08:46Yeah, yeah.
08:46Girl's trip.
08:47It is a girl's trip, but I'm saying just, you know.
08:50No man.
08:51Yeah.
08:52Yeah, no boy.
08:53And then maybe we do like a trip where we all go.
08:55Y'all bring y'all husbands.
08:56Yeah.
08:58You got any homeboys?
09:02So you just be in Arizona?
09:03Yeah.
09:04How many people do you know there besides Harmony?
09:06That's about it.
09:07Sparkle moving to Arizona is just like so crazy because Harmony was looking forward to going to college.
09:15Like Harmony going to college alone by herself.
09:18Like she did not want mommy to follow.
09:21Anytime she can get a break from school, I like drive down and pick her up and bring her back to the
09:26house so I could spend time with her.
09:28I know that sounds bad, but I have not been on a date in Arizona.
09:33I have.
09:34Sparkle not on a date?
09:37Who is this person?
09:38This is the new me.
09:40Me and Sharmona were raised in a Christian household,
09:43but I had so many questions about how things for me didn't make any sense.
09:48Doing the move to Arizona, I just became more spiritual, in tune with myself, thinking about
09:53being in a relationship. That wasn't a thought that crossed my mind.
09:58It's the new me.
10:00I don't mind spending time with myself.
10:01Yeah, I don't.
10:02I just learned not to waste my time or anyone else's time if I'm really not interested.
10:08I just don't want to go out on dates if I feel like it's just not the person or it's not going to be.
10:13Oh, you're so nice.
10:14I'm going on the free meal.
10:23You know, it's really been on my heart that we go see poor ourselves, see our people,
10:35see how they live, and then you'll find things for you.
10:37Yeah.
10:38Right?
10:39So guys, I'm taking us to a Sangoma.
10:43Okay.
10:43We're going to do a spiritual healing slash cleansing.
10:47One of the things the Sangoma can do is call upon your ancestors to give you messages that you
10:53really need.
10:54I grew up a Baptist Christian.
10:56I have no clue what a Sangoma is.
10:59So many people I would love to get a message from, but most importantly,
11:04I would love a message from my grandma, Alice.
11:07I'm pretty sure they're not witches, right?
11:12Well, we're getting close, guys.
11:13This is a township.
11:15They have their clothes hanging out on clothes lines.
11:27My grandma needs to do that.
11:28It's good to have them clothes hanging out there and getting their son to charge him up.
11:34And shipping containers, these are shipping containers.
11:36This is different from where we are staying.
11:41There he is.
11:42Very different.
11:45So these are all the local people.
11:46Yeah.
11:47All the fruit and veggies stood like that thing.
11:49Those were stood.
11:53Hello.
11:53Hi, my name is Guti.
11:55Good morning.
11:56Where are we going?
11:58We are going to see the township.
12:00Why do they call it a township?
12:02A township is a place where the black people stay.
12:07So no white people stay here?
12:09Nope.
12:10Not even one?
12:11Like, it's like, not like one white man that's in love with a black woman that's like,
12:14I'm going to be here.
12:15But what if it's like a white man that likes a black woman, he want to spend the night?
12:19You can't spend the night?
12:20Maybe they do spend the night, but I don't see them staying here.
12:24Yeah, it came from the apartheid era.
12:27Black people were not allowed to stay with whites.
12:31There was not much then to offer.
12:34But now the schools, there's everything, there's taverns.
12:39So like, are these the restrooms?
12:41Yeah, they are the restrooms.
12:42Yeah, they are the restrooms.
12:44So there's no like toilet in the, in the houses?
12:47Um, only those who afford to make a toilet inside the house.
12:52Mm.
12:53Yeah.
12:53But basically, we go to those.
12:55And you got to make it.
12:56Yeah.
12:57You got to make it yourself.
12:58Resourceful.
13:05Chicken feet.
13:06Chicken feet.
13:08Blame.
13:09Uh-huh.
13:10Sausages.
13:11Mm.
13:13There's like a, damn, I don't like this.
13:16But at the same time, I'm proud of them.
13:20You cannot take a, like, you can take a, take a, take, but we so resourceful.
13:25We will build.
13:26We will find a way.
13:29More love.
13:31Hi.
13:33I'm just soaking it all in.
13:35Everybody is just so happy and so joyful.
13:39It's making me feel good inside, you know, to see all the kids and to see the people.
13:45Just out living, you know, the best life that they could live here.
13:51This is a lady who makes the African, yeah, we call it .
13:56Do men try to, like, put, like, call you sugar mama?
13:59Like, try to come up and so they could get some free drinks, like, you know?
14:04What is the symbolism of the paint on her face?
14:07It's the protection from the heat.
14:11Yeah, sunscreen.
14:12Uh-huh.
14:12That's what I thought it was.
14:13She's doing a fake show.
14:15She's doing a fake show or something like that.
14:16It's sunscreen.
14:24You ready for the special class?
14:25Yeah.
14:26What I would love you to do is to wrap your waist around,
14:30because this is a holy place, and then we will need you to take your shoes off.
14:42Okay.
14:56Welcome.
14:58Um, my name is Mbinga.
15:00That's my clean name.
15:01I'm the spiritual name.
15:04But we feel and sense Africa within you.
15:07Um, so we'll just call our ancestors so that we invite your spirits so that to connect with
15:14our spirits.
15:14Um, we'd like to know who you are and where are you from.
15:18Um, Tomago.
15:20My name is Shimona Long, and I'm from South Central Los Angeles.
15:26I'm a little nervous.
15:27I mean, I understand that Sandomas are a part of African tradition, but being a Christian and
15:34things like that, this would normally be a no-no, but I'm open to it.
15:50I need to maybe not focus so much on trying to protect everybody and care for, and every time
16:04trying to see if everybody's okay.
16:06You just need to be careful most of the time.
16:10You give too much.
16:11You intend to forget about yourself.
16:13My name is Selena Martin.
16:14I'm from South Central California.
16:15I'm from South Central California.
16:28My name is Selena Martin.
16:29My name is Selena Martin.
16:29I'm from South Central California.
16:31My name is Selena Martin.
16:33My name is Selena Martin.
16:42My name is Selena Martin.
16:46The ancestors are showing that you easily feel agitated, you feel like easily get angry
16:59and emotional, but not in a way that you feel like, yes, sometimes you feel like crying,
17:05but at times even a small thing, you feel irritated, you easily feel irritated and agitated.
17:12Got a very low self-esteem because people don't really appreciate the efforts that you put
17:20and you feel anger.
17:22It isn't easy to hear that I still have anger issues surrounding validation.
17:29I think that anger comes from me sometimes not feeling like I'm valued in certain spaces.
17:47And that is preventing you from communicating with your spirits and your ancestors because
17:53most of the time you've got anger.
17:57Immediately I thought of my upbringing and not receiving the affirmations that I needed,
18:05you know, after performing at my absolute best.
18:09You need to make peace with lots of things.
18:12You need to let go with lots of things.
18:19My name is Sparkle Clark and I'm from South Central Los Angeles.
18:24The ancestors have got some message for you.
18:37You're somebody who's got a calling, a spiritual gifted person.
18:42The ancestors are saying that you were supposed to be healing people.
18:47But the ancestors at the same time, they're asking where are your kids?
18:53I have a daughter.
18:56Yes.
18:57She's back home.
18:58All right.
18:59So I just have one daughter.
19:00Okay.
19:01Did you have any miscarriage?
19:06Did you?
19:08Yeah.
19:13The ancestors are showing that, yes, there's a child who's crying.
19:18I had no idea that she would bring up that.
19:23Nobody knows but my mom and, of course, the father.
19:29My sister didn't even know.
19:31I'm sorry.
19:36She kind of needs an attention from you.
19:39And she's the one who's supposed to be protecting you.
19:42And she's the one who's supposed to be guiding you.
19:47But it feels as if you were never cleansed after that has happened.
19:51And so she's coming now as a negative spirit to you instead of being a positive angel.
20:04I don't want my daughter to be angry at me.
20:08I would have left her just as much as my daughter had happened.
20:15Don't worry.
20:16Don't worry.
20:17Don't worry.
20:18Don't worry.
20:40My sister went through this traumatic experience and I didn't get to help her work through it.
20:46So I'm feeling a little confused and a little shocked.
20:53I'm big sister.
20:54She can tell me anything.
20:55So the way for the ancestors is that you need to be cleansed first before taking any spiritual journey.
21:09Then after that, you need not to ignore the call for the ancestors.
21:16In terms of the way forward, you all need to make connection with your roots.
21:23But you need to let go.
21:25You all need to let go of lots of things.
21:28Any questions on your side for us?
21:31Where my grandma at?
21:32Is she calling in?
21:33Where my ancestors?
21:34Um, you are carrying lots of negative energy.
21:38There are brighter things in your future that are waiting for you.
21:41So that's why then you need to do a cleansing so that you have that connection, um, with them.
21:46They are there waiting for your call, uh, but then you need to be ready when you're making the call.
21:52Hold up!
21:54They talked to Selena.
21:56They talked to Shimona.
21:58They broke it down for Sparkle.
22:00They just told me I needed a cleanse.
22:02I am clean.
22:05It would be my family that don't show up.
22:08I'm disappointed.
22:22I was expecting, like, my grandma or my dad or an auntie or cousin, somebody to come through,
22:29because they should be showing up in my dreams.
22:31But, um, they didn't show up today.
22:33And it really kind of made me feel some type of way.
22:35There'll be other healers along the way.
22:37That's what I know.
22:39Hey!
22:41Hey!
22:43I love how the kids just came out of nowhere and started walking with us.
22:46Uh-huh.
22:48I don't know what they're saying, but I was like, yeah!
22:52One of the ladies came up to me at the end, and she told me, she's like, you ain't Shangona.
22:57Yeah, man.
22:58Because you're supposed to be helping to heal people.
22:59Yeah, you said you're a healer.
23:00You said you're a healer.
23:01You know, it's really been on my heart about what they were saying about needing to be cleansed and about going to the water.
23:10Where we going next is perfect for that.
23:12Okay.
23:13Tomorrow morning, we are getting out of Cape Town, and we are going to Zimbabwe.
23:18Zimbabwe!
23:19Zimbabwe!
23:20Zimbabwe!
23:21Zimbabwe!
23:22Zimbabwe!
23:23Yeah!
23:24But listen, but listen, we are going to one of the tallest, largest waterfalls in Africa.
23:30Yes!
23:31Victoria Falls.
23:32Okay.
23:33And we're going to get cleansed.
23:34Okay.
23:35Yeah!
23:36Okay.
23:37Bye-bye, Cape Town, South Africa.
23:53You sure was good to me.
23:55Shimona Long.
23:56Out.
23:57Oh, wow.
23:58Love that.
23:59Oh, it looks pretty.
24:00Wow.
24:01Water is cool.
24:02Oh, this looks nice too.
24:03I love this.
24:04We're going to be hanging out.
24:05Yeah.
24:06Yeah.
24:07Yeah.
24:08We're going to be hanging out.
24:09Yeah.
24:10Yeah.
24:11Yeah.
24:12Yeah.
24:13Yeah.
24:14Yeah.
24:15Yeah.
24:16Yeah.
24:17Yeah.
24:18Yeah.
24:19Yeah.
24:20Yeah.
24:21Yeah.
24:22Yeah.
24:23Yeah.
24:24Yeah.
24:25Yeah.
24:26Yeah.
24:27Yeah.
24:32Which room are you taking, Shimona?
24:34Um, I would love to be on the top floor.
24:37Okay.
24:38I'm spending the night.
24:39Cute.
24:40Yeah.
24:41You might actually see animals.
24:42The new house is super dope.
24:45Now, apparently in Victoria Falls, the animals just go wherever they feel like it.
24:51Elephants just walking the streets.
24:54Your giraffes just chilling.
24:56We in they place.
24:58You guys, if y'all see any animals, let me know.
25:00I'm going to go like this.
25:01Oh, the table's looking nice.
25:02I hope we're not going to pop anyone's head.
25:03Twist, twist.
25:04I know.
25:05I'm so nervous.
25:06I'll be like this.
25:07You know how many people die a year getting popped in the head?
25:08Wait, die?
25:09Die?
25:10What?
25:11I would say injured.
25:12Really?
25:13Yeah.
25:14There's a few hundred people who die a year.
25:15A few hundred.
25:16A few hundred.
25:17A few hundred.
25:18A few hundred people.
25:19Come on, Tiff.
25:20Make it pop.
25:21Make it pop, Tiff.
25:22You can do it.
25:23Oh!
25:24Oh!
25:25Oh!
25:26How are you guys all feeling about the overall trip so far?
25:30I feel like we're doing a lot.
25:32We're learning a lot.
25:33Experiencing a lot.
25:34Yeah.
25:35How you feeling?
25:36I feel like we're doing a lot.
25:37We're learning a lot.
25:38Experiencing a lot.
25:39Yeah.
25:40How you feeling?
25:41I keep looking for the opportunity to talk to Sparkle about what happened at Sangoma,
25:58but the information is, like, so heavy.
26:01I feel like I can't even put it into words.
26:03It's so bomb.
26:04Mm-hmm.
26:05Us as women, we go through things that are so tough.
26:08If she needed to keep that information to herself, that's okay.
26:11I'm not necessarily sure if that's the most healthiest thing to do, but to go through
26:17a miscarriage, I mean, I can't even imagine.
26:22You know, it's really been, like, getting to me and, like, why I'm, like, so happy we're
26:26here.
26:27I feel like my whole life, it's been, like, under somebody's dictation of what I should
26:31and shouldn't be doing.
26:32Like, when I was in the foster care system, it was, like, the judges saying, oh, you shouldn't
26:37be here, you gotta live there, the social worker.
26:39Like, when I got my driver's license, the social worker had to sign my thing, and then
26:43she was like, I'm not gonna sign it.
26:44Then I had to go to court and ask the judge if I could get it, if I could, like, get my
26:49driver's license.
26:50I got big-time abandonment issues.
26:53When I was about three, my father disappeared.
26:56My mom remarried, and I got these cool sisters and brothers, and that was great.
27:00And then my mom had a car accident.
27:03She ended up in a mental institution.
27:06We ended up in foster care, and I was by myself.
27:09I felt abandoned.
27:11I felt left behind.
27:13I know the Sangoma said I have a lot of blockage.
27:17To me, it's not blockage.
27:18To me, it's protection.
27:20All I ever wanna do is just, like, bring joy, bring happiness.
27:23But it gets frustrating sometimes because it's like, I'm in the spotlight.
27:27When Girls Trip first came out, I was like, oh, she's a devil worshiper.
27:31She not sold her soul.
27:32That's why she came out of nowhere.
27:34And it's like...
27:35I don't think they say that about every successful black person.
27:39Right.
27:40To get there.
27:41To get to that point.
27:42Not your hard work.
27:43Not 250 auditions where they tell you no.
27:46Right, yeah.
27:47Not, like, all the hours and hours of acting classes.
27:50All them times you get bumped.
27:52Can't do your set because somebody big done came in and you get bumped from the show.
27:57And with the success, it's like, now, everybody got an opinion.
28:01Everybody wanna try to tell me how to live my life.
28:03Everybody wanna say something about this, say something about that.
28:06And it's like, get the fuck out of my business.
28:09You know what I'm saying?
28:10I mean, like, just when I'm around you, like, sometimes I forget, like, who you are.
28:15You are of a high status.
28:16And we're, like, somewhere and even people just come up and grab your arm.
28:20And I'm like, I'm ready to fight.
28:22And then I'm like, oh, hold up.
28:23Like, we are super protective of you because people are crazy and they're obsessed with your life.
28:31And, like, with you, you know, as a celebrity.
28:34And I just really wanted to, like, be with people I feel safe with.
28:39You know, I don't have to perform for anything.
28:42Just be.
28:43Yeah.
28:44Yeah.
28:45You know, from the beginning.
28:46Yeah.
28:47It's been really hard.
28:50It's been super duper hard.
28:53Mm-hmm.
29:13Get your ass in the car.
29:14Come on.
29:15Let's go.
29:16We cross over the train tracks, Tiffany?
29:31Cross the tracks and let's go up those stairs.
29:35Come on, guys.
29:36We about to have some food.
29:38Beware if hazardous drop their head.
29:41Tiffany, where are we?
29:43I'm trying to read every sign.
29:45Where we need to be.
29:48Is this where the swing is?
29:50Yeah.
29:51I'm, like, shaking right now.
29:54The Sangoma said we have blocks.
29:59We have things we need to cleanse.
30:01Yeah.
30:02So I was thinking this is a way that we can, like, get over some of those blocks.
30:06Let it go.
30:07Scream it out.
30:08Ah!
30:09I'm gonna take the girls ziplining and bungee jumping.
30:13And as you're zipping along, maybe you can drop some of that stuff off in the Little River.
30:18I'm gonna leave behind my fears.
30:20And there's a lot of them.
30:21So I'm gonna just leave behind four.
30:23I'm gonna leave my need to be validated.
30:28I'm welcomed and I'm loved.
30:30Any blockage that I have that's hindering me from becoming the person that I need to be.
30:35And I'm hoping to gain more power within myself and to be more adventurous and outgoing.
30:43Let's go.
30:44We ready on three?
30:45Woo!
30:46All right.
30:47One, two, three.
30:48We ready!
30:50Woo!
30:51This clip look real steep.
30:56Hello.
30:57Hi.
30:58How are we?
30:59We are good.
31:00Welcome to Sherwater Bungee Jam.
31:01I am your slide master.
31:02I'll be taking you in your course of your zipline.
31:04Okay?
31:05Okay.
31:06All right.
31:07So I'm harnessing you up onto a full body harness.
31:09So this is your safety harness.
31:11Step foot in there.
31:12The other leg group in there.
31:14You'll be sliding from Zambia into Zimbabwe without a passport.
31:18Good.
31:19You're looking awesome.
31:20You ready?
31:21The next person up front.
31:23For you.
31:24Hey, Tifa.
31:25Hey, Tifa.
31:26She ready.
31:27She ready?
31:28To rock and roll.
31:29Step foot in there.
31:30Good boy.
31:32So this is the mighty Batoka Gorge as you're sliding from Zambia into Zimbabwe.
31:41I just want you to enjoy the environment.
31:44Hey, Sparkle.
31:45Are those tears for joy?
31:47No.
31:48Yeah.
31:49Okay.
31:50They will be sooner, right?
31:51Those are tears because she's saying goodbye to all the blockage.
31:54It's the farewell tears.
31:55So how thick is that rope?
31:57And it's strong.
31:58You look thin.
31:59Sparkle.
32:00Yeah, baby.
32:01So this is what we have.
32:02So this is your pulley.
32:03With this pulley.
32:04I got a pull on it or what?
32:05No.
32:06With this sliding pulley.
32:07Okay.
32:08You get to load it with the full body harness allowing you to sit.
32:12Then you get to sit down like this.
32:14Yeah.
32:15So then you're going to point your legs in that point.
32:18Then we're going to send you off.
32:20Okay.
32:21Okay.
32:22Sparkle.
32:23I'm inviting you to come through.
32:24Here, my dear.
32:25All right.
32:26I'm having so much anxiety.
32:30I'm thinking something tragic is going to happen.
32:33Is the line going to snap?
32:35Go ahead and cry if you've got to cry.
32:37Remove the mobile leaves.
32:38So this is the first safety connection.
32:40All right.
32:41I'm right behind you, sis.
32:43I'm going to go next.
32:44Take a deep breath.
32:45Sparkle.
32:46Oh my God.
32:47Okay.
32:48I'm going to go first.
32:49Let me go first.
32:50My mama has always told me,
32:51Shimona, you are the eldest.
32:53You know, Sparkle's going to be looking to you.
32:55You need to make sure that you're leading.
32:58And I've been doing that since a young girl.
33:01Sorry, not sorry.
33:02Before?
33:03Listen, you all right.
33:04Stop tripping.
33:05It's okay.
33:06You did dip lying before.
33:07It's nothing.
33:08Okay?
33:09All right.
33:10So I'm going to go first.
33:11You don't see.
33:12I'm the heaviest.
33:13God damn it.
33:14I'm the heaviest.
33:15Okay?
33:16So you're going to be all right.
33:17Look.
33:18Okay?
33:19Okay?
33:20Okay.
33:21Okay.
33:22Okay.
33:23I need some water.
33:24I need some water.
33:25I need some water.
33:26Stop.
33:27I'm going to feel like about to pass out.
33:31Sitting.
33:32Walk forward slowly.
33:33Look, Sparkle.
33:34Shimona got it.
33:35Slowly forward.
33:36Will I slide?
33:37I think this is important.
33:38Don't let me go right now.
33:39Just let me.
33:40Get up going.
33:41Get up going.
33:42Slow.
33:4341-handed.
33:44Yeah.
33:45This is it.
33:46Now I'll be counting down, all right?
33:47Three.
33:48Two.
33:49One.
33:50One.
33:51One.
33:52One.
33:53One.
33:54One.
33:55Oh, my Lord.
33:56Yeah.
33:57Yeah.
33:58One.
33:59One.
34:00I can't even believe I did it, but I believe I did it.
34:03And I feel fucking good right now.
34:05It's crazy.
34:06One.
34:07One.
34:08One.
34:09One.
34:10One.
34:11One.
34:12One.
34:13One.
34:14One.
34:15One.
34:16One.
34:17One.
34:18One.
34:19One.
34:20One.
34:21One, two.
34:22Second.
34:23One.
34:24Two.
34:25Three.
34:26Two.
34:27Oh, shit.
34:28Oh, shit.
34:29Oh, my God.
34:30Oh, stop it.
34:31Oh, fuck.
34:32Oh, my God.
34:33Somebody better get here.
34:36Oh, shit.
34:37I'm still trying to, like, recover and get over, like...
34:47But you glad you did it?
34:49Yeah, I'm glad I did it, and I'm glad I did it with you.
34:51I love you. I love you, too.
34:53I'm so proud of my girls. I'm so, so proud of them.
34:56They each went across.
34:58And see, when you have the right support system around you,
35:01you can do anything.
35:03We got to do the swing.
35:05Let's go to the gift shop.
35:09Shimoda, we gonna swing.
35:10We gonna go to the gift shop.
35:11We gonna swing.
35:12We got a cafe.
35:13We gotta do the swing.
35:16Ready?
35:17Yep.
35:18Ninth grade Tiffany is so happy right now
35:21to be able to bring the people I love the most,
35:25the people that have been there for me
35:27throughout this whole journey is fulfilling.
35:30We've done a lot of things together.
35:32Never done this.
35:34Jumping off the bridge, never.
35:36But I do remember my mama saying,
35:38if Selena gonna jump off the bridge,
35:40you gonna jump off the bridge, you too?
35:42But I was like, well, it depends, mama.
35:44Pop, pop, pop.
35:45I remember being a kid, and Shimoda would bring me with her
35:51to her family functions.
35:53I would go with Selena, with her family,
35:55to dinner at their house.
35:57Little stuff like that was so important for me
35:59and so, like, because I felt so alone.
36:02It felt like I'm wanted.
36:04But they wanted me around.
36:06They wanted me.
36:07So remember not to let go each other.
36:09If it happens to let go, you might bang.
36:11Any questions?
36:12Never, ever let go.
36:13Never, ever, ever let go, Selena.
36:16Don't let go, Selena.
36:17Don't let go.
36:18Don't let me go.
36:19Don't let go.
36:20A saying to each other, never let go,
36:24it symbolizes nothing can scare me.
36:27I will forever be here for you,
36:29and I felt that's what she meant as well for me.
36:34Oh, my God.
36:35Do not let go.
36:36Don't let go.
36:37What?
36:38Don't let go.
36:39Three, two, one, swing.
36:44Oh, my God.
36:45We did the shit.
36:47Oh, it's beautiful.
36:52I'm holding them so tight.
36:57I love you, girl.
36:58I love you, too.
37:04I love you.
37:14Okay.
37:15Ted, this is nice, baby.
37:17Let me give a photo.
37:18Hold up.
37:19Come on.
37:20Okay.
37:21It's an alligator.
37:22I'm playing.
37:23Girl, stop playing.
37:24Hello.
37:25Well, Selena, you're welcome.
37:27This boat is beautiful.
37:29This is.
37:32Oh, we got vodka.
37:33Hi, guys.
37:36Wow.
37:37To continued adventures.
37:39Yes!
37:40This is so relaxing.
37:46Mm-hmm.
37:47I know.
37:48Sparkle, can I talk to you over here real quick?
37:50Like...
37:51We'll be right back, y'all.
37:52Yeah.
37:53Okay.
37:56Hey!
37:57I've been wanting to talk to you about when we went into the townships and we went to go see the Sangoma, and they were asking, like, where are your kids? Like, plural.
38:18I didn't know about that.
38:19Oh, I didn't know about that.
38:20I don't really talk about it to nobody, like, at all.
38:24But is it a reason why you didn't share it with me?
38:27Because I thought, like, you share, like, everything with me.
38:32Yeah.
38:33I didn't really share anything much with anybody.
38:35Like, nobody, like, knows.
38:37And mama only knows after I was, like, you know, lost the baby.
38:42How far along were you?
38:43Like, three or four months?
38:45It was before Harmony.
38:47You think you're an artist?
38:48I was, like, 20 years old.
38:51I think it was just, like, a lot of fear, and me saying, I'm not ready, I'm not ready.
38:56So it was like my body was rejecting, you know?
39:01The energy that I get from my sister is almost like, why didn't you tell me?
39:06You should have told me just like my mom would do.
39:10You know, that's it.
39:11Yeah.
39:12You know, I really didn't like when you moved away to Arizona.
39:20Yeah, I kind of figured.
39:22Yeah.
39:23But I needed to, for me, I had to make that choice just for my own, like, sanity, because
39:31if I was to stay back, remember, I felt alone anyway.
39:36And my daughter going off to college, it's not like I'm married or any relationship with
39:43anybody.
39:44And being in a house alone, like, my everyday life was Harmony.
39:48So if I was there, I would be depressed.
39:50I would be unhappy.
39:52I knew that you didn't want me to go.
39:55But in that case, it wasn't about you.
39:58It was about me.
40:01I feel like you can be a little bit controlling.
40:05I just had to go.
40:07Sometimes I need to separate myself from people.
40:13Next on Tiffany Haddish Goes Off.
40:15Let's go to Hoorayi!
40:17Yeah!
40:18Tiff, how long do we have to stay here?
40:20We're going to be here for about six days.
40:22Style love is just like not for me.
40:24It's like your house.
40:25What the fuck that's supposed to mean, Shimona?
40:28I want the traditional garb or that.
40:31I want to marry myself.
40:33Is this a joke?
40:34Because it's not funny.
40:36Why you look at me like that?
40:38What you thinking, Shimona?
40:39You know what I mean?
40:41You know what I mean?
