00:00:09Coliseum, the First Horizon Coliseum, is the greatest pro-wrestling venue in the entire world.

00:00:16Thank you for being here. So many great moments that I witnessed as a fan and as working in

00:00:23wrestling for many, many years. This would not be complete without one of the men who

00:00:29made this such a great wrestling venue and who made wrestling great here on TBS. Ladies

00:00:37and gentlemen, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat.

00:00:48Brian, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat is, I mean, he's a true legend of our sport. For the younger

00:00:54viewers that may not have had a chance to see him compete, a huge part. He was integral

00:00:58to the Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling that ran right here in Greensboro and a number

00:01:02of places here in the Mid-Atlantic. But he was somebody that, I mean, is considered by

00:01:06yourself, by myself, as one of the greatest of all time.

00:01:10Yeah, one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and also one of the greatest humans of

00:01:15all time. Always willing to give his time and energy to younger wrestlers. When I was coming

00:01:22up, when I was 20 years old, he pulled me aside and gave me some great advice. But I take

00:01:28with me to this day. What an incredible human.

00:01:32In April of 1978, I was here as a fan when he and Paul Jones became World Tag Team Champions.

00:01:39They turned 6,000 fans away at the final conflict May of 1983 with you and Jay Youngblood became

00:01:47World Tag Team Champions. You and Dustin Rhodes in 1991 became World Tag Team Champions right

00:01:54here on TBS. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the man. I'm honored to be standing with you, Ricky.
