00:00Clearly, the demand for gorgeously animated fights is very high, so here is the long-awaited
00:22volume 7.
00:24As mentioned with previous videos, the criteria are purely the quality of animation, and not
00:28whether the choreography, or the fight in general, was good or not.
00:31If you have any suggestions for an 8th volume, then let me know in the comments below.
00:44FLCL is only a short 6 episode anime, but has a charming story.
00:50It follows a coming-of-age boy and a mysterious girl, who appears out of nowhere to shake up
00:55an otherwise boring town.
00:57The boy is tackling many issues associated with growing up, and the struggles of his
01:01brother leaving abroad.
01:03But to add to his plate, he ends up being dragged into a battle that could determine the fate
01:08of the universe.
01:09It's energetic, fast-paced, and filled with bizarre mecha action on the surface, but hides
01:15its simplicity, just like how reality hides behind the busyness and liveliness of life.
01:21Some love it and consider it a masterpiece, while others claim it to be a mess.
01:25However, both groups would agree that the animation was impressive, especially the over-the-top sequences
01:31and battles for a two-decade-old anime.
01:33If you ever wondered what the love child of Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon would be, this is it.
01:49Flip Flappers is a pretty underrated anime that, if given the chance, will take you on a relatively
02:04unpredictable journey.
02:05It follows two middle school girls, named Papeka and Kokona, as they travel to another dimension
02:11called Pure Illusion.
02:12Their task is to gather wish-granting fragments, but each episode tells its own unusual story,
02:18that all come together towards the end for a grand conclusion.
02:21For a relatively new studio, they did a great job of bringing this magical world to life, filled
02:27with energy, capturing everything from fantastical dreamscapes, to heated battles, to the subtle
02:32little gestures that are so often forgotten.
02:34Pokemon Twilight is a standalone online series consisting of seven episodes, and it does a fantastic job at capturing
02:57everyone's heart.
02:59These shorts were a breath of fresh air compared to the typical Pokemon TV series, reminding us
03:03all the essence of what Pokemon is really all about.
03:06The dream of a kid to discover the wonders and mysteries of these strange creatures by
03:11embarking on an adventure.
03:13The story consists of several unrelated characters that undergo great character development, but
03:18are gradually weaved together as the series progresses with a beautiful concluding episode.
03:23The animation and art were far superior to the typical TV series, with carefully drawn
03:28backgrounds and character designs, adding to the pleasant experience.
03:33Scissor 7 is a Chinese anime on Netflix, and is probably the weirdest, but a good show on
03:47this list.
03:48Even chickens can use ultra instincts here.
03:51Only in the world of anime can a battle between birds be this epic, especially thanks to the
03:56fantastic animation and choreography.
03:59This is a fight that takes place very early on in the series, at Chicken Farm, where all
04:03the chickens are destined to be killed and eaten by humans one day.
04:06Dai Bo ends up in the cockfighting ring against the undefeated champ.
04:10At first it may have seemed like a one-sided beatdown, but after a little doping induced digivolution,
04:16even Prominent's Burn Plus Ultra was no match against this angry bird.
04:20Gaurau the animation already had great animation, so it was no surprise that the movie Divine Flame
04:49was equally as great.
04:51Gaurau follows the story of a young knight and father duo, travelling and killing demons
04:55possessing humans.
04:57This movie is a continuation of the series, taking place four years after the events of
05:01the TV series, where Leo has now inherited the mantle of protecting the people from these
05:06demons known as horrors.
05:08Although this is a continuation, it doesn't necessarily add much to the story.
05:12While Divine Flame's narrative is fairly routine, its visuals often surpass the many strengths
05:17such as the staggering layouts and beautiful wide-shot compositions.
05:21Action lovers would definitely enjoy this movie.
05:37Violet Evergarden is an orphaned young girl, raised as a tool of war, and as a consequence,
05:42she not only lost her arms, but also never developed the emotions of a normal human.
05:47During her time as a child soldier, she had monstrous strength in combat, capable of killing
05:51multiple trained adult soldiers with ease.
05:54In fact, her strength and agility was so great that it was one of the fundamental reasons that
05:59ended the war.
06:00The main story takes place post-war, where she sets off on a journey trying to understand
06:04human emotions through her job of writing letters on behalf of others.
06:08However, her overall goal is to fully understand the meanings of the words left behind by the
06:13one she cared for most.
06:15This is one of the rare isekai anime that have fantastic animation.
06:36It follows the story of a 34 year old who was killed by the dreadful truck Kun, when attempting
06:41to change his life with heroism.
06:44On the surface, he may seem like a terrible individual, but he didn't exactly have a great
06:48childhood.
06:49However, his second chance of life not only gave him great parents, but a significant advantage
06:54over other kids, thanks to memory retention from his previous life.
06:58He embarks on a journey, slowly conquering his past traumas, creating new bonds, and discovering
07:04the beauty of this new magical world he finds himself in.
07:07There were only a few action scenes so far, but the artwork and animation make them very
07:12memorable, especially the final episode delivering a fantastic team fight between the Dead Ends
07:18and the Red Hood Cobra.
07:37This anime was a true hidden gem of 2021, and unbelievably underrated.
07:46The story revolves around a singing AI with the aim of making everyone happy with her songs
07:51at an AI theme park.
07:53However, things change with the arrival of a time-traveling AI attempting to prevent a war
07:57between humans and AI in the future.
08:00This anime has a great story, well-developed characters, and cinematic level animation
08:05for every episode.
08:07The fights don't just have great visuals, but amazing hand-to-hand combat and choreography.
08:12An amazing advantage that animation has over live action is that you can make characters
08:16move in ways unimaginable in real life, especially in hand-to-hand combat scenes, and this show
08:23is a prime example of how to fully capitalise on this advantage.
08:30A legend tells that a long time ago monsters could give the ability to certain elected officials
08:47to master the Five Elements.
08:49This is a battle between the Fire and Ice Envoy.
08:53Fog Hills of Five Elements is a Chinese anime with fantastic visuals.
08:57This is a short sequence that was released before the three-episode anime, but it was more
09:02than sufficient to capture many people's attention.
09:10The art style is very different from the typical Japanese anime we're used to, but nevertheless,
09:15the choreography and animation of this fight was definitely God-tier.
09:20The fourth episode is in production, and based on the trailer, we're in for another treat
09:24of epic action.
09:25Castlevania had already delivered some visually stunning fights in the past, and this epic
09:50confrontation between Belmont and Death was from the latest season.
09:55This final boss is probably one of the sassiest villains, delivering some of the greatest lines
10:00to lighten up a death battle.
10:02I'm going to eat your soul.
10:04Shit it out and use it to smother your fucking girlfriend to death.
10:09This is what happens when an ancient force of nature mingles too long with society.
10:13Trevor on the other hand, was a pure badass to take on death, without an ounce of fear,
10:18despite his slim chances of victory.
10:21The overall battle was beautifully captured with fluid camera movement, especially the
10:25smooth transitions between scenes, reminiscent of the game cutscenes.
10:29Overall, an epic encounter, and conclusion to a great adaptation.
10:39If you enjoyed that, a like would be a huge help in taking this channel to the next level,
10:48and remember to subscribe for many more top tens to come.
