Central Vietnam is facing one of the worst floods in decades.
Record rainfall — more than 1,000 millimeters in 24 hours — has submerged the historic cities of Hue and Hoi An. Streets have turned into rivers, homes are underwater, and rescue teams are struggling to reach trapped residents.

At least nine people have died, several are missing, and hundreds of thousands are affected. The disaster highlights the growing impact of extreme weather and climate change in Southeast Asia.
