00:00Good afternoon, it's a high honor and a distinct privilege to be joined today by House Democrats

00:16will continue to support our men and women in uniform.

00:21We will continue to support hardworking federal employees.

00:25We will continue to support our law enforcement personnel.

00:30House Democrats will continue to support our air traffic controllers.

00:34We will continue to support our TSA agents.

00:37We will continue to support our civil servants who have been under attack since day one of

00:43the Trump administration.

00:46But we cannot support the Republican effort to gut the health care of the American people.

00:54Today House Democrats will introduce legislation to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits

01:00for three years to make sure that tens of millions of Americans don't experience dramatically increased

01:09premiums, co-pays and deductibles.

01:13Now Republicans control the House, the Senate and the presidency.

01:20They own the mess that has been created in the United States of America.

01:25They own it.

01:27And our message to the American people is no matter what happens on the floor later on today,

01:36our promise to you remains the same.

01:41House Democrats will continue to fight to make your life more affordable.

01:47House Democrats will continue the fight to address the Republican health care crisis.

01:52And House Democrats will fight to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits.

01:57This fight is not over.

01:58We're just getting started.

02:07But they recognize that as Democrats, we stand on the shoulders of many who decade after decade,

02:13century into century, have always fought to make life better for everyday Americans and

02:21to protect the health care and enhance the health care of the American people.

02:27That's the continuing and enduring legacy of the Democratic Party.

02:34FDR fought for it.

02:36Truman fought for it.

02:38JFK fought for it.

02:40LBJ fought for it.

02:42Carter fought for it.

02:45Clinton fought for it.

02:47Barack Obama fought for it.

02:50Biden fought for it.

02:53And no one fought harder in the House of Representatives than our Speaker Emerita Nancy D'Alessandro Pelosi.

03:00That's in the DNA of the Democratic Party.

03:06From FDR to Nancy Pelosi to these first-term members.

03:11And so our promise to the American people is that we are in this fight until we win this fight for all of you.

03:22Lower the costs.

03:23Save health care.
