00:00I think it's always important to take a step back and I think you know when we
00:12built this league you know the whole objective was to build South African
00:16cricket back up to see fans come back to the stadiums to see our player group go
00:21from strength to strength and we were very fortunate at the time to attract
00:24the six IPL franchises that you've referenced today and you know they've
00:28played a huge part in you know supporting the league and developing it in the
00:32first three seasons and we know that MI is probably the biggest franchise if not
00:36the one of the biggest franchises in the world so we were very fortunate to have
00:40that winning culture with us it's the standards that the owner the people in
00:45administration the coaching staff all live up to or try your best to live up to
00:50obviously the first two seasons we didn't live up to it too well but certainly last
00:54season things fell into place and we managed to do well the standards they
00:58set but the tactical now that's required in a very fast moving game Aiden is a
01:03highly regarded captain strategic captain he's a player that leads from the front
01:09he's got a terrific record and he's pretty proven that and there's a
01:12connection obviously with Aiden with the Super Giants with regards to the IPL and
01:17and now with with Durban Super Giants so there's nice continuity there there's a
01:22nearly like a family connection so we certainly hope that you know his
01:27leadership style will you know work perfectly with other great leaders that
01:32are within the group you know Kane Williamson for instance is you know one of
01:37the game's great leaders and to have his presence there and obviously lots of
01:41class and and others that are I think really important in certainly giving
01:46yourself a chance in it yeah I'm also a Cape Town boy I've lived there for about
01:5211 years now from Pretoria originally but Cape Town is honestly when you look at
01:58the you're looking at the videos and now you do miss on because it's such a
02:01beautiful place that you can't really explain to people because you go to New
02:07York and it's just you know beautiful high-rise buildings and you get that in
02:10Cape Town you go to the most beautiful oceans in the world beaches of Spain it's there in
02:16Cape Town you get the restaurants I think Cape Town was voted the number one food
02:21destination in the world so if you love food and who doesn't who doesn't yeah and
02:27myself included go to a lot of there's a lot of like Indian tapas restaurants as
02:31well in Cape Town so yeah I love Cape Town I think it's the best city in the world so
02:35my family still lives in different parts of South Africa but Cape Town is not
