A look back to when Dallas media grilled ex-Mavericks GM Nico Harrison after he traded Luka Doncic.

00:57When you look at Luka Doncic, do you consider him a championship level player?

01:01You know, that's kind of an unfair question.

01:04Luka is no longer on this team.

01:05I believe winning will help repair the relationship with the fans.

01:09And that's what we plan to do next year.

01:11I know you said winning will repair it, but have you ever thought about what if it doesn't?

01:16I'm an optimistic person and I move by faith, not by fear.

01:20The anger and outrage from the fan base, has that exceeded what you were kind of planning for?

01:26Yeah, good question.

01:27I did know that Luka was important to the fan base.

01:31I didn't quite know it to what level.

01:34You have 20,000 people in this stadium chanting fire, Nico.

01:37You really feel it.

01:39I use the word awesome, but not in a positive way.

01:42Like you can really feel how they feel.

01:45So yes, I feel them.

01:47How am I doing?

01:48I'm good.

01:55Luka was quoted as saying, it's just sad the way he's talking right now.

01:58I never say anything bad about him and I just want to move on.

02:01How do you react to that quote?

02:03I feel the same way he does.

02:04Like I've actually never spoken ill of Luka at all.

02:08And I just ready to move on with this team that we have.

02:11I'm sorry, but I'm not capable of looking at the worst case scenario.

02:14It's everything about what we do is about how do we continue to get better.

02:17We're coming back already with what we feel is a championship caliber team.
